Since the start of a new era between ponies and creatures alike in Equestira, Rainbow Dash and Soarin have been working extra hard as privateers for the Navy while unrest happens everywhere else in the world. Scootaloo has been happy living with her adoptive parents until one day long-lost relatives of hers have found her and demands for her return much to the dismay of the Dash family. Scootaloo herself doesn’t want to go but doesn’t have a choice. Will she be able to escape this fate and stay with the family she has gained?

With the new Friendship Rainbow Kingdom erected in Ponyville, The mane 6 plan to celebrate with a party where anypony in Ponyville is invited. A sudden knock on the Kingdom's door however, will create a chain of events that all revolve around one former Great and Powerful pony.

Twilight, being concerned for the roughed up pony, seems to be the only one, as the other 5 ponies still think of Trixie as the pompous and jealous pony she once was.

Can Trixie prove to each other pony that she has truly changed for the better?

Trixie, freezing, isolated, and increasingly desperate, decides to take a risk one night in the Everfree forest. If it doesn't succeed, it's going to be another unforgiving Hearth's Warming Eve.
