One morning, the sun doesn't rise. Twilight is convinced that every timekeeping device in Ponyville has malfunctioned, while Luna blames Discord.

My story begins where so many others end; with death. None are so familiar with death as I, For I have lived many centuries and died countless times. Untold dozens of lives have ended this same way; a slow decline in health, both physical and mental. This form fades away, my tenuous connection to this world slowly dwindling, like the last glow of a cooling ember. It is here that my tale diverges from the set way of things, for my ember does not simply fade to nothing. Quite the opposite, in fact. With a gout of flame akin to a solar flare, I burn to ash in excruciating pleasure. When the flames subside, I emerge from the ashes as a fledgling.

My name is Philomena.

I am a Phoenix.

And for her, I’d do it all again.

A land of despair, cruelty, deception, malevolence, treachery and magic. This is the Equestria that Zack has come to know ever since he was captured by colourful ponies. What they want with him he does not know. But he plans to find out. But first he needs to escape and then, just maybe, find a way to kill a Princess.

Rated Teen for Violence, Don't expect it to get too gory for the gore tag.. but I'll see where the story takes me and if I need to, I'll add it in the future.

Note: This story takes place during season 3 before the events of Magic Mystery Cure

After Equestria ended, I realised that my immortality had always been a curse.

With the aid of the remaining Equestrian royalty, I created a dream state that alicorns could slip into. A dream of our world the way it once was. A world where grass still grows and my friends aren't dead. Every day, I wake up with a smile to a world filled with simulated sunlight and imaginary ponies.

It feels just like home.

But sometimes, the hardest part of a dream is realising it was never real.

Set in the 'Youngverse'

One day whilst out practising, Luna gets spooked by a butterfly and accidentally sends it to the moon. Running high on giddiness at her new power, she decides to play several pranks on her sister Celestia.

Surely nothing bad will happen, right?

As Per Comet Burst's suggestion, This was an april Fool's joke that i have been waiting to post but could not free up my editors so i edited the majority myself Overall the idea is that of satire, and all the downvotes based only upon the title only prove my point.

I wrote this story as a message to what the fandom has become, babied.
We are becoming too sheltered to try things that are original, often just piggybacking off of other peoples successes for safety at the cost of creativity.
I wrote this in the image to fool people into thinking it was a troll fic or a bomb. But from the blatantly obvious evidence to the contrary slipped by them because they were too intent on judging this book by its cover rather than being fair or seeing what was past the paper thin disguise of what the story was.

Hopefully some people will learn, and to my surprise, I have more likes than dislikes, something I was not anticipating, further giving me hope that our fandom can change.

For Celestia, living forever isn't her curse. If immortality only include eternal life, she could handle that. What she can't deal with are the memories, or lack thereof. When her past escapes her day by day as the centuries progress, what will she have left?

Princess Celestia realized this after Applejack came to speak with her about a tax unfair to Earth pony farmers. It was during their conversation that Celestia realized she needed help.
Huh, isn't that odd Princess Celestia has had to leave on emergency business, leaving Luna to raise and set the sun? And hey, is that a new pony living and working at Sweet Apple Acres? I think her name is Sunshine Meadow. Surely, it's just a coincidence. Surely.
