Oh Fortis, where are you?

Before there was the Gryphon Kingdom, there were the Griffin Tribes.

Before there was unity, there was strife.

Before peace, there was war.

Blessed Arnau is the Last Lady of the North, facing an enormous task. The griffins face a seemingly unstoppable enemy tide—The Cloven of the Sun. Marching endlessly northwards, they hunt for the remnants of the griffin Tribes making their last stand in the stronghold of Falhstein, a stronghold that has not tasted war in decades.

With promise of support from Fortis, a mere commoner of surprisingly sharp mind and will, she is tasked to lead a defense that will mean the survival or end of her race.

This is her story.

This is my first official World Building Alliance prompt entry for May 2013. Word Count: 5,480

Scored 4.42/5. Second Place for May 2013 Prompt.

The story takes place in the The Gentlemanverse, predating the a time before Equestria opens a portal to Earth. It is an exploration of Gryphon Kingdom history before the events of Feathered Heart.

The war has gone on for far too long. To end it, Celestia just has to sign the treaty.

Go read the comments. They're way more interesting than the story itself.

This story is a sequel to Stardust

Twilight has finally returned home from the harrowing challenge that Discord set upon her, and the residents of Ponyville and the Elements especially look forward to having their dear friend returned to them.

Twilight, however, has changed. Still suffering from her injuries, almost incapable of using magic and haunted by the memories of her time on Earth, she becomes increasingly withdrawn from those who were closest to her. Will her frustration at her current state and her friends inability to understand her experiences cost her what she valued most before Discord's bet?

(Sequel to Stardust, familiarity with this is recommended!)
(Proofread by Arzoo!)
(Coverart commission drawn by the amazing KairaAnix!)
(Crossover with XCOM: Enemy Within, though the crossover and human elements are minimal)
(Featured 4/28/2014, thanks folks!)

Chapters (1)

Isolated from her friends and taken prisoner in the middle of a war, Twilight must deal with the very real dangers of being percieved as an enemy as well as the nightmares of her arrival on 'Earth'. Can she overcome her own fears and the fears of her captors? Will the wayward unicorn's assistance be a boon or a curse to the 'humans?' Most importantly, will she ever find her way home?

"In short, it's a story of friendship and plasma rifles, with the emphasis on the friendship. The characters are well written, the XCOM setting is fleshed out very well, and the story is compelling. If you love XCOM, you'll love the story, but even if you've never heard of it, it's more than worth giving the first 3 chapters a read.

There's excellent action later on, but the real strength lies in the collision between the friendly and naive world of Twilight Sparkle and the desperate world of humans fighting a losing war for survival and willing to do anything to turn the tide."

(XCOM/FiM crossover)
(Cover art commissioned by a friend and created by the magnificent FoxInShadow!)
(Original cover art by the amazing Carnelian can be viewed here!)
(Gore tag for blood and some violence)
(Many thanks to the studius OminousTen, Arzoo, xXFluttershyForeverXx and finally Setokaiva for giving my rambles a once-over)

This story is a sequel to Stardust

Times are changing for Equestria as Twilight’s return brings with it news of people and cultures from beyond the peaceful world everypony knows. Aid and volunteers are freely offered to help the besieged humans of Earth because every Equestrian knows that’s what good friends do. Unfortunately, making friends can also have the unintended consequence of making enemies.

When the monsters besieging the humans strike at Equestria with a level of brutality not seen in over a thousand years, the cry for help is sent to all the kingdoms of the world. Honored allies step forth to fulfill ancient treaties and oaths. Enemies, old and new, bury their grievances. An alliance never before seen in Equestria will be created to combat the monsters from the void.

And because of these events, a grim but welcome sibling to the XCOM project is born.

(XCOM/FiM Crossover)
(Sequel to Stardust, which I recommend reading before starting this. Fortitude Amicitia and Broken aren't required reading but are supplemental to the storyline)
(Gore tag for blood and violence)
(Alternate Universe tag because of the divergence from canon that Stardust has caused)
(Uses elements of Season 4)
(Coverart produced by the amazing Carnelian!)
(Many thanks to Arzoo, BradTheBrony, Vandenbz and Setokaiva for prereading!)
(As of 03/07/2016, the prereading team consists of Arzoo, BradTheBrony, Noble Cause and Metallusionsismagic!)
(Complete with it's own TVTropes page as part of the Stardust continuity. Could use some updating!)
(Character tags will be added as chapters are added!)
(Featured 5/12/2014! Thanks folks!)
(Possible spoilers in the comments! BEWARE!)

This story is a sequel to The Conversion Bureau: Why we Fight

Four years after humanity's fall and the last human walked away free of ponification, a valiant rebellion controlled by a former protégé rose from the ashes of humanity's death bearing potions brewed to reverse the brainwashing affects of the original serum. If humanity lives on in these ponies, they shall live as free as they were as humans .

A Conversion Bureau Story

Whether it be clothed in a velvet glove, or by the iron hoof it covered, Princess Celestia forced ponification onto mankind, allowing no choice for the species. Only a scant hundred million escaped her law, out of a total of seven billion, whether it be by their own hand, the hoof of an unfortunate pony, or the three million who managed to escape to space in pods that would never make landfall even in the off-chance they would encounter a viable planet. She was confident that all of the apes that had ruined this planet of Earth were either surely dead, or her little ponies.

Millennia later, she would receive a strange visitor from the stars, one that held an agenda that she didn't agree with, but that she herself had given precedence for.

This story is a sequel to The Elements of Harmony and the Savior of Worlds

The Conversion Bureaus have won. Humanity has been ponified, all traces of our civilization wiped clean from an Earth turned into Equestria. Princess Celestia rules over all, the tyranny of free thought abolished.

Humanity is at the cusp of a golden age. With allies both near and far, biped and quadruped, we strive for greatness, united as never before. Our mark shall be made in space, our influence felt throughout this Spiral Arm.

The Tyrant Princess sees this and is angered. A dome is opened... but this time, humanity is not alone against the Conversion Bureaus.

A spinoff/sequel to The Elements of Harmony and the Savior of Worlds, taking a place about a year after the events there, and my own little 'take' on the Conversion Bureau. This makes it a crossover with Transformers Generation One, GI Joe A Real American Hero and My Little Pony G1.

Thanks to Velkaden for the title. As well as Shubzilla for proofreading, the anti-Conversion Bureau for their help and SJC for help with the look of Megan.

Humanity is dead.
It's members have been converted and brainwashed. Its homeworld has been absorbed, and its culture has been eradicated.
Princess Celestia couldnt' be happier.

Unfortunately for Celestia, there are beings out there who don't look too kindly on xenocide. Beings much more powerful than her...

Inspired by Rush's "The Conversion Bureau: Celestia's Silly Plan"

Author's note: For the record, I don't hate all TCB fics. My problem is with the ones that depict humans as irredeemable bastards whose only hope for salvation is to convert themselves into talking horses. They piss me off. They really piss me off.
