The greatest magician in the world, Quartermoon the Magnificent, has just passed away. After his funeral, however, Luna takes interest in one of his granddaughters - a unicorn filly named Trixie Lulamoon, who has only just earned her cutie mark. One life has ended, but perhaps another is only just about to begin...

Sometimes the most awkward company to keep is your own.

Impossible as it might seem though, that's quite literally the situation Carrot Top and herself find themselves in. The situation is beyond surreal, to say the least, as each mare struggles with the effort of trying to relate and come to terms with someone who simultaneously so eerily similar and yet also so very different.

Is such a thing even possible?

Bitter Harvest always though himself a sensible pony but when he encounters a pair of crazed ponies telling tall tales of the fall of Canterlot at the hooves of Corona he can't help but believe them.

But what might Corona do to those who choose to slander her good name in this way?

My entry to the October Lunaverse writing challenge on the topic of Scary Stories.

Everypony knows that the ruler of a powerful kingdom Equestria, Princess Luna, has a mad and supposedly evil sister, Corona the Tyrant Sun. But nopony knows that the powerful megalomaniac alicorn of the sun suffered night-terrors since her descent to madness. This story gives us a recent example of what Corona fears above all else.

Carrot Top has always loved her mane and tail. Their volume, their shine, their luxurious softness. And she maintains those beauties with her patented beauty products. Unfortunately when her conditioner gets an unknown defect. She ends up with a horrifying outcome that sends all of Ponyville into a panic.

Mobs, hysteria, and an attempt to kill Rarity from pure indignation.

When Cheerilee receives a strange package containing an seemingly old board game her curiosity leads her to inviting he friends over to check it out. It doesn't take the mares long to discover, however, that "Zone" is no normal board game, and they soon find themselves struggling to make it through the game's increasingly dangerous and otherworldly challenges.

Dinky's talent is making friends, but maybe she should be careful about who those friends are. A Non-canon Lunaverse story for the October 2014 Scary Stories Event.

The multiverse is a wild and varied place. And the lives of ponies can take many forking paths and the case of Trixie Lulamoon, those paths are very twisted and complex indeed.

In one universe, she's the Element of Magic and the personal student of Princess Luna. In another, she's been tasked with cleaning up corruption in the city of Neigh Orleans by Princess Celestia. And in both they're talented magic users.

And when an ancient magic item switches the two between their universes, they'll both have to scramble to find a way back home.

Alula has always been nervous around others, especially when her resemblance to an Alicorn is involved. Typically on Nightmare Night she just stayed in-doors and played with her sister, however this time things will be a little different. She's going to be going out dressed as that which she fears most, but there's no need to worry! Firelock and Bee Bop have got her back, and they are going to make sure that tonight will be a night to remember!
