A few weeks after the return from her second visit to Canterlot High, when the Princess of Friendship runs out of royal duties and busy work, she needs to find something to pass the time while her friends go about their busy schedules. Deciding to travel back through the portal to Canterlot High, she meets up with her parallel, human friends. However, when Pinkie decides to host another slumber party at her place, Sunset Shimmer begins acting differently towards the others.
Maybe whatever she is hiding she doesn't fully understand herself.

After things seem to go too far, Rainbow Dash decides one stormy night that it's time to explain her feelings to Applejack. Even if it means she can never take her flying again.

With nothing better to do, Rose heads out to her greenhouse for a little late-night gardening, hoping that a little time with her beloved flowers will help her fall asleep. As she works in the greenhouse, she sees her unusual houseguest is also having trouble sleeping. That, and he's holding a noose...

The two of them chat it up and it is revealed that Lyra has a friendly date with Vinyl Scratch, her friend for many years. Octavia is invited along and accepts, joining the two for a night of fun. It quickly develops, however, to something much more than that. For of all the things that Octavia had expected to see when she met up with this Vinyl, it was definitely not a near copy of Melodia Allegrezza.
Curiosity is a virtue, they say, and Octavia's drives her to one question that she will see answered no matter what: What is the relationship between Melodia and Vinyl Scratch? Who are they?
