Pinkie Pie loves having fun. Who doesn't? And Nightmare Night is one of the funnest nights of all. Everyone dresses up in costumes and goes around scaring everypony. And this year, Princess Luna is joining in the fun! She's really good at scaring ponies!

Except.....Luna's not having fun. Apparently, nopony told her that this was all pretend.

Oops.

We all know what they say about the dark. We hear it all the time from our parents. "It's all in your mind. There's nothing there.", "There are no monsters in your closet. Or under your bed. You're alright." Well, one human, apparently, didn't get the memo. He has a lingering fear of the dark from his childhood that he never got over. Until now that is.

Tempest Shadow aka Fizzlepop Berrytwist has committed quite a few crimes during her time as the Storm King's lieutenant: high treason, slavery, kidnapping, use of forbidden magic conspiracy to overthrow the government, etc.

Now, after her trial, Tempest is locked away in the castle, waiting for the Princesses and the Council to deliver their verdict...

Twilight Sparkle wanted nothing more than to see the Northern Stars on the Zeppelin Cruise with her family. But thanks to Iron Will, who was running the cruise, her dreams are smashed into pieces. Saddened by seeing Twilight's heart broken, her family does everything they can to try and console her.

Author’s Note: This story is to serve as how Twilight’s family SHOULD have approached the situation when Twilight started sobbing after missing out on the Northern Lights.

In this alternate take on the ending to Season 2, Chrysalis actually triumphs, defeating everypony and turning Princess Celestia into a Changeling. However, almost immediately, Chrysalis's plans begin to go awry. For Changelings feed on love. And who is more beloved in Equestria than Princess Celestia?

When a song doesn't help them see the light, what else can you do?

Print a second edition that calls them out for what they really are.

Twilight has let her anger get the best of her, and has called out her worst detractors for what they really are. But one fan shows her that her aim was not as precise as she thought, and those that took no sides paid the price for her negligence.

Whether they feel genuine care for their heroes, choose to show their upset in more mature ways, find inspiration, or find light after years of darkness, Twilight sees that the fans she'd thought so little of were more than she'd ever imagined.

Rated T for one slight hint at suicide.

This story is a sequel to The Alien Warriors: Journey to Equestria

It has been six months since the end of the Equestrian-changeling war. The Lunar Nightwatch, now renamed the Equestrian Rangers, live relatively peaceful lives with the ponies of Ponyville. Although the team has put down a few monster attacks, life in Equestria has become mostly quiet. However, back on Earth, a government agency which is in charge of the well known company that produces nerf and ponies has noticed that some nerf players may have been accidentally teleported to Equestria. In order to prevent their high tech weapons from falling into the hooves of magical horses, the agency sends in a hand-picked strike team along with a number of troops to do two things: capture or kill the humans in Equestria and prevent ponies from advancing their weapon technology to human levels.

A great many ponies made a great many mistakes leading up to the Canterlot Wedding.

Their biggest was assuming Cadance was the only target.

The Canterlot Wedding was two weeks ago. Celestia has not been seen in public since. She has a secret--something dark and terrible--something that could bring down all of Equestria.

Celestia is Changing. And only Twilight and Rarity can help...
