One week. One. Blasted. Week.

That's how long it's been since Celestia has seen her sister. Since the survivors of the last battle of the War of Sun and Moon were able to see the loved one's they lost that day, or sell things in the storefronts that they used to own. However, one day she sees a strange sight, and goes to investigate with four guards.

It's been four weeks since Nightmare Moon returned, and Princess Luna was redeemed. Four weeks of relatively normal life compared to the adventure that was Nightmare Moon's return.

Then, one day, Princess Celestia sends Twilight a letter asking her to go visit an old friend of hers. Curious as to who this friend is, Twilight and her friends set out to reach the location that this friend is at.

When they reach their destination, an odd blue box awaits them, along with a being unlike any other.

Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her alicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns alike.

But as time went on, the elder sister became obsessed with power. The ponies relished and played in her day, but the night, as beautiful as it was, seemed to mean nothing to the ponies. One fateful night, the elder alicorn refused to lower the sun to make way for the dusk. The younger sister tried to reason with her, but power had corrupted the elder's heart and had transformed her into a wicked mare of fire: Daybreaker.

She vowed that she would illuminate the land in eternal light. Reluctantly, the younger sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponykind: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her elder sister, and banished her permanently in the moon. The younger sister took on responsibility for both sun and moon, and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since.

When Luna tells her faithful protege about the upcoming return of Daybreaker, Trixie Lulamoon is tasked to travel to Ponyville to find the new wielders of the Elements of Harmony. But how will she find them when she doesn't even know who they are?

But Trixie's troubles aren't as simple as finding the Element Wielders, as a group of resistors against Luna are preparing for something...

This series isn't specifically based on the RainbowDoubleDash's Lunaverse, but some inspiration was taken. This is the first episode of The Alterverse.

Nopony ever really knew much about the alicorns that came before Celestia and Luna. Without any prior knowledge, they just assumed that the sisters were immortal due to their age. Thing is, they weren't.

After their four thousand years were up, Celestia and Luna were taken from their mortal bodies to join their fellow passed in the Manaveil. This left behind two more, of course- such is the way of things.

Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, niece of the sun goddess, who now raises and sets the sun in honor of her dear aunt, Celestia.

And Princess Twilight Sparkle, who raises and sets the moon and stars in memory of her loving wife, Luna.

Now, one hundred years after Luna's death, she joins her dear Twilight to make one last memory until daylight comes.

My first, and likely only, one-shot (because I despise the things). Just a (hopefully) cute/heartbreaking story I thought of while sitting in the car and driving from Iowa to New Mexico. It was hell, but I got a lot of stuff done.

If you didn't like it, you could be kind enough to tell me why- that will really help improve my writing in the future. Or, if you really are that one person who just really wants to be a jackass, screw off and don't read it.

Years ago when the Celestia sisters ruled in peace and harmony, a new princess was born. The Sisters were baffled looking down on the small pony, who although having just been born, was extremely small even on baby pony standards. They called her FallenStar, because on the night she was born thousands of stars had flown through the sky as if wishing to join one of their lost was because of her small size, that he sisters decided to keep the new princess a secret until she was big enough to hold her own against the world. Everything was perfect until Luna turned into Nightmare Moon. The jealousy of their eldest sister over threw her love for her little sister, and Luna was lost to them as Nightmare tried to install the eternal night. Celestia knowing how much this upset their littlest sister finally decided to seal Nightmare into her beloved moon for a thousand years. Fallen heard of her eldest sister's plan and she knew that even if Luna wasn't there any more she would have to save her because she couldn't stand for the sun and moon to be torn apart by such trivial matters. This caused our little heroine to devise a plan. So the time came to curse Nightmare and right before the curse was finished and the jelous pony sent to the moon, A small figure opened her wings and flew for the first time right into the beam of light, sacrificing herself to save her loved sister.

Now a thousand years have past and the curse is uplifted, thus sending a small cutemarkless Alicorn back to the land of Equestria. The pony arrived like the fallen stars she was named after and crashed landed with a boom in the farthest acre of the Apple Family Orchard where our story begins.

This story is a sequel to Star's Love for the Moon

Preferences, everypony has them. These preferences mould us, define us into who we are in the present. Sometimes, our preferences seem to be decided for us, not discovered, this seems to be the case for young alicorn Twilight Sparkle.

Throughout Twilight’s younger years, she rarely associated herself with anypony else, always keeping to herself and continuing her studies as Celestia’s “most faithful student.”

Two years prior that all changed when she was sent to Ponyville for the Summer Sun Celebrations, she met five young mares who changed her for the better: Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Together they banished the evil from Nightmare Moon, restoring her body back into Princess Luna.

Luna…

Just a week prior, Twilight had summoned Luna to her castle: The castle of Friendship. Were she admitted her feelings pent up from the previous two years, her love for Luna, love that was neglected her entire life.

Through the gift of a simple kiss, affection kiss, Luna gave first required. That very kiss lead to Luna admitting the same emotion: love. The newly formed couple basked in each other’s embrace for the rest of that night, under the moon and the stars.

Despite Twilight’s main question of how Luna felt for her been answered, more questions were created than answered.

Would Twilight’s friends accept her gender preference? Would her parents? How about her brother and Cadence? Would Celestia, Luna’s sister and Twilight’s teacher approve? How would the bloody nobility react?

Too many questions. Twilight hoped none of it mattered as long as she was with Luna, her love, her marefriend.

Twilight Sparkle thinks she will never die.

She wasn't prepared when her friends died, when she could only die when her domain - friendship - faded away. Friendship never faded. She was stuck being immortal for all of time. Even dragons - even Spike - were not fully immortal like she was, just long-lived. Even Celestia and Luna went, when the sun exploded and obliterated the moon. Even Discord went, when Faust, the Creator, fulfilled her promise and remade the world into perfection. Yet she was stuck as an alicorn, watching universes rise and fall.

Twilight Sparkle is wrong.

This story is a sequel to Hatred

Many ponies think they know Princess Celestia. She's kind, warm, a giver and protector, much like the sun itself. What many ponies don't know is that Princess Celestia isn't as put together as ponies think she is. Actually, she's barely holding on, and during the day meant to celebrate the day she met someone important to her, someone she wants badly, she finally hits her limit and breaks down.

If she were a normal pony, this would be okay. But she's not. She's an alicorn. And Princess Luna fears that she could fall into a darkness very much like she did, becoming something much worse than Nightmare Moon. Desperate to save her sister before she falls into her darkness, she reaches out to the one pony she feels knows Celestia the most.

Her former student.

Now its up to Twilight to help Celestia in her darkest time. She's never seen Celestia in such a state, and seeing her so devastated scares her almost as much as the idea of her becoming something worse than Nightmare Moon. What she doesn't know is that the shadow around Celestia is getting stronger, and its taking the form of someone from her past. Will Twilight be able to protect her former teacher from this darkness?

the humans.

Twilight, intrigued by her new found source of knowledge of a species she has never heard of before, decides to look deeper into the study of humans.

In the magical land of Equestria, two sisters controlled both the sun and the moon. The elder sister known as Celestia shone the sun upon the land. Ponies would play and bask in the sunlight. The younger sister, Luna, raised the moon and painted the sky to become a gorgeous night. While most ponies would sleep and gather their rest, some would look up to the stars and watch in awe.

On one faithful day, the elder sister became corrupt with power and threatened to bring sunlight upon Equestria forever. But the younger one could not reason with her, for she had become a powerful mare of darkness: Nightmare Star. With no other choice, the young Luna gathered the most powerful magic in all of ponydom: the Elements of Harmony. Using the power of the Elements, Luna reluctantly banished her sister into the sun.

Shortly after her older sister's banishment, the ponies of her kingdom rose up in resistance and waged a terrible civil war. The war ultimately ended in a ravaged land that was inhospitable to ponykind. They were forced to live underground ever since.

Now, nearly 1000 years later, Luna has foreseen the end of her sister's banishment is coming to and end. When that day finally comes, the fate of the world will hang in the balance. It is up to her faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, to help save Equestria from the end of all things.
