The Enterprise is sent to investigate a bunch of mysterious signals that ripple from deep within an unexplored area of the Gamma Quadrant. In their investigations, they come across a strange creature—a small white unicorn with an adventurous spirit. Lost in space, she just wants to go home, and the mysterious signals are her best lead.

However, unexplored space is always filled with strange new worlds, vast mysteries... and dangers the likes of which no one can be prepared for.

It was reminiscent of his first years at Hogwarts on Earth. Harry took the train to the Crystal Empire and found himself in his old digs at Hogwarts in short order. But, things are not as they were. Minerva McGonagall has taken control of the school and is shepherding her students into a new life not just as ponies, but after the war against King Sombra's forces, protectors.

The only thing that remains same is there's a great evil threatening the peace of Hogwarts, the Crystal Empire, and the ponies, wizards, and witches that live within.

Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Celestia, is the most gifted Unicorn in Equestria. She has long-neglected personal connections in favor of studying and ambition. Celestia, concerned by her student's behavior, searches for a way to help her student grow as a pony. As a last resort, her thoughts turn to Starswirl's Magic Mirror, that it could show Sunset a new way, or to a path of darkness, but then something or rather somepony comes as her solution. Sunset now finds herself teaching her own student, a bookish and anti-social young Unicorn named Twilight Sparkle. Can the two form an actual connection, or will their anti-social tendencies lead to disaster?

While we wait for the Gen 5 series to come out, let's take another look at Gen 4 and some more material still yet to be touched. It's that time yet again! Time for that series which dares to ask and seeks to answer that fateful question "What if that episode had been written differently?"

This time around, thirteen episodes are being rewritten here. This includes the last two episode of Season 3, making it the first season to be fully rewritten in this series. In addition, we're going all the way back to the pilot with a rewrite of the first two episodes. And we've also got redos of two Season 6 episodes, one of which is based on information made public from leaks. And those are just some of the episodes on tap this time.

The exact same disclaimer from all volumes prior applies, the episodes rewritten are based on my personal opinion so please respect it. Don't get offended if an episode you liked is on the list here, or an episode you didn't like isn't on this list. I'll gladly respect your opinions if you respect mine.

Of course it goes without saying by now but I obviously mean no disrespect of any sort to Hasbro, the DHX writing and editing staff, or anyone who likes the episodes that appear here. The intent of this fic, like all of its predecessors, is for entertainment purposes only.

As always, there are too many volumes now to link to every single one. So either check my homepage for the first volume and go from there, or use the also liked and similar pages to check for earlier volumes to see whether an episode has already been covered.

Sunset Shimmer's life was good, she had plenty of friends and greatly enjoyed where she had eventually ended up in life. It's a shame then that reality had a different opinion on where she belonged. Now stuck in the past prior to first leaving for the human world, Sunset will have to figure out what kind of direction she wants to take in life this time around.

After all, the future she herself lived with her friends was not reachable without doing things that she now found appalling. Even so, she knows that staying in Equestria could very well doom the world to a much darker future. If she had time to draft a plan she could probably figure out something that would keep herself out of the way while also not affecting the timeline, it's a shame then that the two princesses of Canterlot would just not leave her alone!

Apparently this thing got feature mere days after publishing... somehow.

Twilight Sparkle's coronation as the sole ruler of Equestria is right around the corner. To not disappoint her, Sunset Shimmer decides to come back to Equestria for the first time since her theft of the Princess's crown to attend.

Said Princess's student, Starlight, is there to greet her, but the two of them are surprised to find that Sunset is a princess herself - or at least an alicorn, and her arrival may have unintended consequences for a trio of recently imprisoned villains.
