Twilight Sparkle hosts a sleepover to reveal her secret feelings for a friend. Her plan is soon ruined when she can't seem to get her alone. When she finally finds an opportunity to get the filly that has caught her eye, she seizes it. When she finds that one of her close friends has already taken her longtime crush, she must try everything she can to get her to herself again.

"Look, spells can’t show you everything. I can show you awesome things your magic can never bring to your library!" Truer words have never been spoken in this tale about a Unicorn and a Pegasus, whose connection runs deeper than either of them could have imagined.

After Twilight finishes her research on a new spell, she finds herself presenting it in person to her longtime mentor. The meeting between the two brings back old memories, new questions, and familiar feelings.

Are social norms more important than one's feelings? Is a love that is considered 'wrong' worth seeing through?

What happens when you realize that your feelings for one of your friends aren't quite the same as your feelings for the rest of them? Do you just prefer some friends for others, or is it a sign of something deeper? What do you do with those feelings? Hide them? Admit them? And how will the rest of your friends react when they find out?

Twilight is going to have to do her best to find the answers, because they're anything but obvious.

Yes, this is a story about romance, but I'm trying to use it to explore the relationships between the characters and see how they'd really react if romantic feelings ever did crop up, and how such a development would impact the cast as a whole.

Because sometimes, just because you're immortal doesn't make you invulnerable. Sometimes, the one you're more proud of than anything else is the one that respects you the most, and sometimes respect goes deeper than either of you had ever realised.

Additionally, because sometimes an author wants to try and write something that doesn't end in horse sex, but instead adorable hugging and stuff. If this doesn't work out I'll probably go on and add some horse sex later, because people always like to see that, but I hope people enjoy it.
