• I came to the contest for this year's theme: "A normal being's point of view and life amidst global events." I wanted to write about creatures who are "a normal being (i.e. not a country leader or general) at any point in the world".
• The contest rules say: "The story should fit into the Equestria at War universe. (Don’t worry too much, we’re very lenient with this.)" Because this story is about ordinary ponies trying to resist Nightmare Moon in a time before Equestria was equipped with lots of firearms and mechanized war vehicles, I am looking forward to the "very lenient" part of the rules.
• The contest rules say "All submissions must be submitted to moderation before the deadline, and be in the 2021 Contest folder up to seven days after deadline at the latest." I am definitely submitting this story to the contest folder less than seven days before the deadline.

Flurry Heart has made the ultimate sacrifice, but is it truly over? After using her own life essence to restore Equestria to an inhabitable state in her own world, she is reborn into a new one. But this one seems much purer, while the enemies that cost her everything to defeat are all either banished or destroyed. Even her mother and father are still alive, and more surprisingly, even her Aunt Twilight? What is this twist of fate and what does it mean for Flurry Heart?

After her success as the Princess of Detention, Luna has a half-baked plan to become the Princess of Home-Ec. Life, it seems, has other plans, and she is sent to retrieve a foundling. On her errand, there are lessons to be taught and some others to be learned. But, is Luna the teacher or the student? 

"Long ago, this crown rested on the head of those who would rule, and still it seeks the true liege." Spike thought it looked neat and put it on. Things happened, and he's not entirely unhappy with the result. Twilight does not approve.

Spike's never known his family. While he's got Twilight Sparkle and all of his friends, some part of him had always wondered about his family. Then Twilight receives a letter saying that Celestia is sending over a long unknown sister.

Scootaloo has always wanted a family like Rainbow Dash's. A family that cares about her, and praises her achievements. Then a small incident changes her situation entirely.

Twilight Sparkle never knew just how much she wanted to adventure with her mentor. Until one day, that adventure is thrust upon her. Now, she can't wait for it to be over.

Like any seasoned adventurer, Princess Celestia forms a party of capable, credible threats. Shining Armor as the handsome tank, a damage sponge like no other. There is a grey vizard to do all of the morally objectionable stuff that Princess Celestia would never sully her hooves with. With the aid of Twilight's snark, Princess Celestia leads the way to recover Moon Rose, a foalnapped filly.

Together, they face the Fortress of Egress.

Luna becomes the Princess of Detention. It's not because she was naughty. Stuck atop her lofty tower, it is up to her captives to save her from herself.

If only she didn't write her own demerits.

Now part of a trilogy. Because these things happen. Next up in the series is The Foundling, and this will be followed up with Princess Luna & the Curious Case of the Bitch Fish.

Fifteen is ancient for a dog, and Spike's starting to feel it: sounds and scents getting a little muffled, a little soreness in his hips, a gnawing little pain in his stomach that he hasn't told Twilight about even though it's been getting steadily worse the past few months.

In Equestria, though, according to Twilight, a fifteen-year-old dragon is still considered a child. And as she's been pointing out for the past five or six years, the portal to Equestria is right across town...

My entry in FanOfMostEverything's A Most Delightful Ponidox contest, this story didn't finish in the Top Eight.

It's Starlight's first time alone in the castle. As the darkness closes in and old demons return to torment her, Starlight cries out in hopes that someone will hear. Can Twilight rescue her student from the darkness before it takes her for good this time?

(Takes place between seasons five and six.)

Yona and Sandbar have been going steady for about 3 months now, and all their other friends find it cute. However, maybe they've gone too fast in this relationship when Sandbar tells them they've done... IT!
