After another stunt gone wrong, Rainbow finds herself cooped up in a hospital room again. But when she ends up getting roomed with a nine-year-old colt, her stay at Ponyville General takes a turn that's worth just a little more than reading a book about an archaeologist.

When your life is as dull a gray as the world that surrounds you, the mundanities can make it all seem meaningless. Sometimes all we need is a little color -- or six -- to reintroduce us to what truly makes life worth living.

Sugar Moonlight is jealous of Cloudpuff, for reasons best known to herself. However, her jealously brings to light a very real danger, one that will cause Maretime Bay to descend into chaos once it, and the efforts to contain it, are unleashed.

Applejack and her friends has noticed that their best friend Rainbow Dash has been acting a little different lately. She seems actually happy to come to school!

While the other girls brush this change off, Applejack gets even more suspicious when she sees that her brother has been acting different as well!

Trouble ensues as Applejack is determined to find out what is causing the changes in her friend and her brother, and wonders if the changes could be related with one another.

This story is a sequel to Shine

After moving away from Clousdale, Rainbow Dash has to face a new school, with new people. This really shouldn’t be a problem for the young girl, however, she doesn’t see herself making any friends.

She believes that she is the abesolute worst person on the face of the earth, and that she doesn’t deserve friendship. All she wants to do is be alone, no matter how much she hates it.

However, there are a few familiar faces in Canterlot Elementary that are willing to show Rainbow that she deserves to know what real friendship feels like, and that is exactly what they plan to do.

Applejack couldn't be happier with her life. She owns a great farm and has been married for three years to the love of her life, Rainbow Dash. Twilight is really good with planning and organizing. So it's not like she'd forget something important on her one year anniversary with Rainbow Dash. Right?
