Hopefully Rarity isn't too alarmed about her sudden absence two weeks prior to the big day.

Rarity is not feeling like herself. Her experiences with sadness were usually intense and loud, but brief. Not this time. After a chance encounter with a customer, powerful melancholy grips her, unlike anything she has experienced before. She feels empty, hopeless, and miserable.

Then Twilight Sparkle visits.

There are some mentions of suicidal ideations, but no actual suicide or self-harm.

By which she means getting a job interview with Twilight and acting as unprofessionally as possible.

However, despite her thrilling life, Rarity simply didn't have the time to sit down and write her autobiography, no matter how badly Twilight wanted her to do it.

Life is like a train ride, don't you think, dearest? The tracks have been set, destination picked and the ticket is well in hoof. What a shame that so many, myself included, are so focused on the destination that they fail to realize a universal truth.

Destinations will change, trains will be caught and missed, but there will always be somepony willing to journey with you—so long as you let them.
