In high school, Rainbow Dash didn't have much trouble remembering how great she was. She had the best friends one could hope for, nigh constant athletic victories, the unshakable conviction she was better than Applejack, and the fact she was a, fairly active, super hero to remind her that she was awesome.

High school ended, the band broke up, the magical threats died down, everyone went to different colleges, and it became harder and harder for Rainbow to convince herself that she had value. Recently, she stopped replying to messages from her friends; she's pretty sure they'll be better off without her.

Fluttershy is getting worried, but she's too far away to check on Rainbow herself. Sunset Shimmer, on the other hand, is only a two hour drive away.

In theory, this is being written for the Pride and Positivity event. In practice whether it's actually in time depends on what timezone one happens to be in.

Usually, my depression is preventing me from writing these days. The exception to that seems to be the 11th hour. In this particular case, that's literal as well as figurative.

It probably says something about my state of mind that the story I thought up for an event with "positivity" in the name is one about debilitating depression. I did check the rules, though; this counts.

The Empire is starting to see a little more tourist traffic. The tourists, however, are having trouble seeing anything. When every native surface in the nation offers a choice of 'reflective or refractive?' -- well, it's rather easy to spend their entire vacation stumbling into buildings, usually right next to the door.

Cadance is working on the problem. But she can only treat the walls. The crystal ponies aren't going to cover themselves... unless a certain designer can get them interested in the foreign concept of 'clothing'.

It's a challenge fit for an artist!
Or a madmare.
When you hire Rarity, you usually get both.

A relationship is not always so easy to define, especially when the ponies involved are drawn in different directions. Yet it turns out that sometimes the answer to your problems really do lie in books. Even if you have to write them yourself.

Faced with the implications and changes brought about by Twilight's coronation, Rarity must contend with what it might mean for their relationship. A relationship, you see, that lives and dies by the dozens of books quietly stashed away in the back of her closet.

One day, she hopes, she'll be able to give them back.

(Takes place before/during/after the Season 9 finale.)

This story is a sequel to Monsters

You might think that Equestrian nights are but serene exhibitions of Luna's work on the sky. You may believe that you can just lay out on the grass and admire the beautiful stars as a warm evening breeze caresses your mane. And you would be wrong.

Equestria is a magical place, and where there is magic, there is chaos. Dead rising from their graves, inanimate objects coming to life, strange apparitions making your foal cry in her room... sounds familiar? No? Then I'm doing my job right.

I'm Twilight Sparkle, and I work the Night Shift.

This follows canon up to the end of season 2.

Back in Equestria, the spring equinox is a hard line, the last day of snow, winter is over, full stop.

On Earth, that’s not exactly the case. The equinox might have come and gone, the clocks might have been set to a summer schedule, it might be April and still snowing in Missouri.

Tucked away in a corner just off the main roads of Canterlot, there exists a small shop.
It's a humble place of red brick, lacking entirely the put-upon golden and marble splendor of the richer, nobler portions of the city.
But that's just fine in the mind of it's proprietress. This place isn't one meant for the rich and the noble.
It's meant for the stressed single fathers, the cash-strapped students, the hungry tourists, the late-shift guards.
All are welcome there, and all are greeted as friends.
