This story is a sequel to Magnetism!

Rainbow Dash has been foalnapped by Fluttershy’s arch nemesis, and through a mystical portal, taken to another land. Can Fluttershy, with the help of her friends, save the pony she loves? How does this mysterious foe have a portal to another land? What is this mysterious new land? Most important of all though, why does Fluttershy have an arch nemesis?

This story follows on from the events of my story, Magnetism. Reading of the story Magnetism however is not needed to fully understand and enjoy this story.

Flight School is where it started for her. An infatuation with Rainbow Dash that Fluttershy would carry for seven years, eight months and fifteen days (not that she's been counting). All she has to do is tell Rainbow Dash how she feels, and, really, its not as if its a daunting task.

Luna was never banished, Discord is Celestia's court jester, the Elements of Harmony do not exist, and Twilight grows more pompous and more egotistical every day.

Celestia is not amused.

This story is on indefinite hiatus. I might revisit it, so it's not cancelled, but I'm not currently skilled enough as an author to do some of the things I wanted. Believe me, I've got the drafts to prove it.

Ponies get older over time. They slow down. This is a part of life. But Rarity, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie can keep pursuing their dreams as they get older. Rainbow Dash can't. This is her last chance to be a Wonderbolt, and despite working her tail off, she's not getting any better. In fact, she's getting slower. She just wants things to be fair. She wants one last chance to achieve her dream.

She wants to be faster.

This is what happens when she gets her wish.

Six mares who've never met, will suddenly be thrown together as an ancient threat returns imperiling their entire world. Now these unlikely heroes must band together, or their entire world is doomed to eternal darkness.

This is a dark fantasy retelling of the series premiere, using Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition rules, spells, and monsters. It was an idea that I've been wanting to write for a good while, and I hope folks enjoy it.

A drunken conversation at a party leads Fluttershy to reevaluate her feelings for Rainbow Dash. Unfortunately the reverse is not true.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash have been friends for a long time. Fluttershy has been in love with Rainbow Dash for a long time. And Rainbow Dash? She hasn't answered the question yet.

But when the opportunity of a lifetime finally arrives, Rainbow may not be able to put off her answer any longer.

When something is taken, it leaves a space. This is basic physics, it’s how the world works; the bigger the object the bigger the space it leaves. When something is the foundation, the framework on which everything else is built, the whole structure will come crashing down, leaving nothing but rubble and dust. When something is taken from a pony, she must come to terms with what it is she has lost and what it is she has gained. Rainbow Dash must now find something new, a new foundation on which to build herself, a daunting task if faced alone. Can she resurrect her oldest friendship when she needs it the most?

So this is it; the story I wrote to celebrate my one year Fimfiction anniversary. Huge thanks to AppleDashFan123 for proof reading and generally giving great advice. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have had a rocky relationship, with ups and downs over the course of years, and Rainbow's ready to call it quits for good. As she stands at the door, willing herself to knock, there's something holding her back: she's still in love. Love alone isn't enough to make it work, but as their relationship threatens to end forever, they have one last chance to make sense of it all.

And Rainbow Dash can't stop remembering.
