Feather Bangs has arrived in Canterlot as part of his first ever Equestria-wide singing tour. His name is up in lights. Posters of him are all across the city. Dozens of excited mares flock to see him at the train station, swooning over his every hair flip. And thanks to the help of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, he can talk to them now, too!

But who's that bespectacled mare over there? You know, the one in the black sweater with that hair tie? Do you think she'd like to go out with him?

Now that Equestria is finally at peace, Starlight can begin to move forward with her life as the new headmare of the School of Friendship. Thankfully, she has Sunburst to help her out, at least most of the time. And she doesn't spend time secretly following him while he's going about his work. Absolutely not!

As summer is in full swing, Sunburst has accepted an invitation from Cadance to help with some new problems with Flurry Heart. With the clock counting down before he returns to the Empire, Starlight "kindly asks" that the two of them go on a date. Absolutely nothing will go wrong. It's not like the two of them can turn anything into a disaster zone given enough time.

One particular aspect comes into focus when Shining Armor and Cadance offer him a weekend off, and he's temporarily alleviated from all responsibility of Flurry Heart.

Before everyone can start assuring Twilight she'll do great as ruler of Equestria, Twilight refuses and explains why it wouldn't make sense for her to take the throne. From there, the conversation swerves.

This is a story for those who think Celestia and Luna retiring is a bad idea, and that Twilight found her true calling as a teacher rather than a ruler.
