Applejack promises to spend some time with Rainbow Dash, and naturally the pegasus asks to share some naptime with her in one of the apple trees. Applejack agrees, and even finds herself having fun... until her big brother turns up, as big brothers have a habit of doing, to catch her in a rather compromising position.

Another note: some of you may recognize this as a chapter from one of my other stories. I decided to post it as a stand--alone story as well, because I originally wrote it as a short stand-alone story and just posted it as a chapter on a whim. What you are reading now is how it should have been posted in the first place. (Besides, you can never have enough AppleDash.)

Rainbow Dash asks Applejack out on a date for Hearts and Hooves Day.
Long story short, Applejack says yes. And then she says no. Six times in a row.
Applejack tells Rainbow Dash that she'll go go on a date with her if Rainbow asks her the right way. But what the heck does that mean? Rainbow spends the next week trying to find out, employing everything from bribery by chocolate to singing to horrible pickup lines, in her attempt to win Applejack's heart. But it's only on Hearts and Hooves Day itself that she discovers what Applejack really wanted to hear.

The thing is, sometimes in life there are things you have to do that are hard. Like, way hard. Harder than they should be. Harder than bucking storm clouds someone overfilled with lightning seeds. Harder than pulling off a sonic rainboom in front of a cloud of ponies who don’t believe you can do it. Harder than … other hard things. That are hard to do. Yeah.

Rainbow Dash narrates her own life. Because you just know she would do that.

Applejack realizes one morning that Rainbow Dash has apparently moved in with her. This discovery surprises Dash more than a little, too, and sets off a chain of events neither could have imagined.

The original minific version of this story came in fifth in the Dec. 2015 Writeoff Association contest, "Things Left Unsaid." And the full, three-chapter-and-an-epilogue version won 3rd place in The Fourth AppleDash Contest: A Little Twist of Lemon using the categories "A Life-Changing Event" and "An Important or Memorable Date."

When Twilight Sparkle accidentally casts a spell on Applejack that forces her to voice all of her thoughts, Applejack realizes that she is in danger of revealing her feelings for Rainbow Dash to the entire world. At least Rainbow Dash isn't around to hear her.

Bored on her day off, Rainbow Dash decides to go visit Applejack for some quality time. Nothing out of the ordinary about that, right?

After an incident between Applejack and Rainbow Dash, the two are finding it hard to communicate with each other. However, when a friend suggests a pilgrimage to help Applejack settle her feelings over memories of the past, Rainbow Dash and Applejack find that they may have to redefine their friendship.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders are bored. They just can't find a way to go about looking for their cutie marks. In their boredom, they begin to wrestle around the room, but Scootaloo ends up breaking a wall and now they need to fix it.

When they go to ask Applejack for the toolbox, however, they walk in on her doing something with a close friend of her's, something that looks a lot like, as Apple Bloom would call it, "wrasslin'."

Sure, that's what it looks like, but what's really going on here?

Just a quick note about the contradictory rating. There is some sexual content, but nothing horribly explicit to make this fic Mature. Just wanted to clear that up.

Rainbow Dash discovers that she's half earth pony. She decides to embrace this fully, much to Applejack's consternation.

Written for the fourth AppleDash contest (exploring the past, a minor character with a speaking role).

Celebrating 100 mini-fics, 23 members of the AppleDash group collaborated on a single story based on a one word prompt, Desire. Each chapter is between 200 and 1500 words long, each written by a different author. Each author had 3 days to write their chapter before the story got passed on to the next author, who continued where the last person left off.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash return home from a day out visiting Rainbow's parents, but something is bothering Applejack: her own parents—or lack thereof. She wishes that Rainbow could have met her parents... but then, why can't she? Tartarus does exist, after all.

Each chapter of the fic went through only minor editing to ensure consistency with names and to correct grammar and spelling. Aside from that, each author was allowed to write in whatever style they chose.
