Luster Dawn has learned a lot about friendship since moving to Ponyville, so she's most surprised to be called in for a meeting with Supreme Ruler Twilight Sparkle one day. And it's not about friendship either.

As it turns out, the subject of Twilight's meeting turns to an interesting topic: Legacy. And she says it's very important that she and Luster Dawn share this talk now.

Luster will soon learn more about her mentor than she ever anticipated learning, and will also learn a thing or two about how one's legacy can be shaped and changed.

Luster Dawn is a promising young student at the School of Friendship, but somehow, she just doesn’t get it, and her grades have slipped. With the past and present perfectly aligned, Trixie will once again give somepony the most precious gift she ever has.

This story is a sequel to My Little Pony: How the Magic of Friendship Grows (Season 1)

Following the events of Season 1, the Heroic Ten continue their days as best friends living together in the Castle of Friendship in Ponyville, while being heroes of Equestria and Beyond. Their duties to help the magic of friendship grow eventually got them a lot busier; as new creatures are being discovered with each new creature met not long after the first encounter with another.

First up is the Water Dragons, amphibious water-generating dragons each with a unique body of different animal body parts. Second is the coldness-causing Freezing Kirins, whose emotions channel their powers to cause snow fall, icicle growth, extreme coldness or even a blizzard. Third is the bison, buffalo lookalikes capable of surviving in the snow naturally. Fourth is the oxen, capable of swimming like in some versions of the Chinese Zodiac story while being stronger than yaks whom they look quite similar to. Fifth is the Beellas, hybrids of the Falabella and bee hummingbird, making them as small as half the size of a grown-up pony. Sixth is the peregrine cheetahs, hybrids of the peregrine falcon and cheetah, making them naturally the fastest creatures.

With so many new creatures, making the right choices, ensuring that the magic of friendship stays strong and resume its growth, will be a lot harder than before.

Luster Dawn has settled into life in Ponyville pretty easily and has even begun to make some friends. It helps that her mother is finally giving her space to be her own pony.

However, when Luster is told she'll have to give a progress report, she finds out it'll fall on the same day Queen Twilight is coming to Ponyville to celebrate an important anniversary: The first encounter with her friends.

Will Luster be able to get everything together in time for Twilight's arrival? And what will Starlight Glimmer have to say about her own daughter's decisions?

Luster Dawn has gotten a new job as Headmare's aide at the Ponyville School of friendship. Hoping to learn what her mentor learned from the not-so-small-anymore town, and curb a few of her own worrying attitudes on the subject of other Ponies, she is going to make an active effort to make friends with other creatures.

But things are never that easy. The Council comes into contact with the Warden of Tartarus, and he has a game he wants to play. This time, it's far more complicated, and dangerous than a game of Chess.

With Twilight now ruled Equestria, technology in Equestria has started to evolve, and now many of the ponies and creatures have iPhones. Twilight still needs to get used to this new generation. But thankfully she has Luster to help her explain better what these devices are for, and even show the advantage of having one.

After ‘The Last Problem’ a new story has begun:

Luster Dawn, a talented unicorn from Canterlot is sent to Ponyville by her mentor, Princess Twilight Sparkle, the Ruler of Equestria. Tasked to learn about the Magic of Friendship in the School of Friendship, Luster starts learning friendship, but in a different way from her mentor did.

But not long after having her own team of friends, a challenge is thrown in front of Luster and her team. They eventually got through it, became known as heroes, and finally, graduated from the school and were free to learn friendship on their own.

Now in an environment that resembles the one Twilight was in long ago, Luster and her friends go on many adventures to discover the Magic of Friendship and report it to Princess Twilight.

This is my tenth story, and the first to be a story series. All the good values and morals I would like to show everyone will be shown in this story, so the rest of my stories (which are linked to it) will not have to. This is also the first story to have some of my artwork (which are not digital) posted on DeviantArt, meant to show some of the scenes described in its chapters/episodes.

There are recent internet rumors that say that Princess Twilight enjoys eating a pile of hayburgers in her spare time. Luster decides to ask her mentor if these rumors are true. When she arrives in Canterlot, the response she receives is not what she expected.
