My Little Pony: How the Magic of Friendship Grows (Season 2)

by Majestical4729

First published

Luster Dawn and her best friends continue learning friendship through adventures and experiences, while meeting a lot of new creatures along the way.

Following the events of Season 1, the Heroic Ten continue their days as best friends living together in the Castle of Friendship in Ponyville, while being heroes of Equestria and Beyond. Their duties to help the magic of friendship grow eventually got them a lot busier; as new creatures are being discovered with each new creature met not long after the first encounter with another.

First up is the Water Dragons, amphibious water-generating dragons each with a unique body of different animal body parts. Second is the coldness-causing Freezing Kirins, whose emotions channel their powers to cause snow fall, icicle growth, extreme coldness or even a blizzard. Third is the bison, buffalo lookalikes capable of surviving in the snow naturally. Fourth is the oxen, capable of swimming like in some versions of the Chinese Zodiac story while being stronger than yaks whom they look quite similar to. Fifth is the Beellas, hybrids of the Falabella and bee hummingbird, making them as small as half the size of a grown-up pony. Sixth is the peregrine cheetahs, hybrids of the peregrine falcon and cheetah, making them naturally the fastest creatures.

With so many new creatures, making the right choices, ensuring that the magic of friendship stays strong and resume its growth, will be a lot harder than before.

This is my overall twentieth story, linked to my other Friendship is Magic stories without Alternate Universe tags.

"Is everything ready?" Luster Dawn asked her best friends in the throne room in the Castle of Friendship, as they were all going on an outing that day.

"Sure are, I got them all packed up last night! You can't always do things at the last minute, that's too rash!" Sunshine Rays answered.

"Unfortunately, some of us are still yet to take those words in," Volcano commented, as he watched Krona rush into the Throne Room with a backpacks on her back.

"Krona so sorry! It's just....she wants this visit to go great!" Krona apologised.

"We all do," Nature Bloom responded.

"Especially when we invited our former teachers, the teachers at the School of Friendship, to go with us!" Evergreen contributed.

"I still can barely believe that they said yes!" Yellow Bright commented.

"They usually spend their days teaching at the school, and now they got to take a break since it's school spring break!" Buffer explained.

"And there's noting better than spending spring break far away from home and work!" Falcon Dive ended.

"I believe you meant have a vacation?" Alkali asked, arriving with her luggage.

"What's in that luggage, Alkali?" Volcano asked, before whispering to her, "Please don't say nothing other than soaps, Brussels sprouts, bitter melons, broccoli..."

"What?! Of course not!" Alkali replied, before opening the luggage to reveal nothing other than coconuts stuffed in ice.

"Coconuts?!" Volcano asked.

"It's a vacation! And nothing can make a vacation complete other than coconuts to drink and eat!" Alkali explained.

"May I remind you that only the young coconuts, sometimes called baby coconuts, can have their fruit flesh eaten?" Volcano asked, "Adult coconuts, sometimes called mature coconuts, can only have their coconut juice, or coconut milk drunk! Their flesh is too hard!"

"Of course I know that! I used to drink coconuts with my family before I left Mount Aris!" Alkali responded, sounding annoyed.

Just then there was a knock on the door, which meant one thing.

"They're here!" Luster Dawn happily said out loud, before galloping of to answer the door.

"Nice to see you again, Luster!" the Young Six all greeted in unison.

"Nice to see you all again, Captain Gallus, Madam Yona, Mr. Sandbar, Professors Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream!" Luster greeted.

"We are so delighted that you invited us all!" Silverstream informed.

"Actually, there's more to the invitation than that," Sunshine Rays said, arriving with the rest of the Heroic Ten.

"You see, our newest friend Roca doesn't have neighbours, so she's alone all the time." Nature Bloom began.

"Therefore she is very antisocial and needs to be with others in order to learn to get along with them." Falcon Dive continued.

"She's already met us all, so we need some other creatures for her to meet." Evergreen explained.

"And since you creatures are the first creatures to become very close friends, and still are close friends..." Volcano began.

"You picked us to accompany you to visit her today." Gallus replied.

"Exactly!" the Heroic Ten nodded.

"Well, our kids are in good hooves at Sugar Cube Corner." Sandbar said while he turned to look at Yona with a warm friendly expression, who turned to look at him back in the same manner.

"Our kids are in good wings, at home with their all-day caregiver," Gallus said, gazing into Silverstream's eyes as she did the same to him.

"Ocellus and I never married any creature," Smolder declared in a proud-sounding tone.

"So we don't have kids, just each other as BFFs!" Ocellus replied, before bumping her front left hoof against Smolder's right claw at the end of her sentence.

"I believe that the better way to say is 'have not married any creature', because you have not married yet, but might get married to some creature in the future, and you just don't know it because the future remains unknown until it comes!" Volcano explained.

"Thanks, Volcano." Smolder responded.

"Come on Vol, it's a vacation! You should have fun instead of mind so much about little words and sentences!" Alkali told the dragon.

"I suppose you're right, Al, it's about time we took a break and have fun." Volcano responded as he gradually smiled.

"We're just missing one last creature, who should be here right now." Luster said, looking around, just a second before the said creature magically showed up through teleporting.

"Hello every creature! Sorry to keep you waiting!" Discord announced.

"Discord?!" Smolder asked in shock.

"Well...not only can Discord easily take us all to our destination..." Luster began, before Sunshine Rays finished for her, "He and Roca need to interact again, and learn to get along with each other after what happened the last time!"

"Surely that Stone Witch turned my beloved Fluttershy into stone," Discord began, before Krona cut him off.

"And then draconneques got so angry and that he got turned to stone, too!"

"Luckily for you, we managed to reason with the Stone Witch so she'll release you all." Yellow Bright reminded.

"And got a new friend, and more harmony!" Nature Bloom ended.

"Can we please stop staying here and get going?" Alkali asked as she looked inside her luggage, "The ice in here won't keep my coconuts cool forever!"

"If some creature says so!" Discord responded, before snapping his fingers and teleporting every creature out of Ponyville.

After the series' theme song played, Discord's teleportation spell brought the gang to their destination in a flash. The top of the Stone Mountain of Nothingness, which was built by Roca even before the birth of the Council of Friendship members.

"Roca, we're here!" Luster called.

"Heroic Ten, you all came!" Roca greeted back.

"And like we told you before, we'd like you to meet some of our friends," Sunshine Rays added.

"Well, they are more than just friends..." Evergreen stated.

"They too are heroes of Equestria who became heroes by learning friendship!" Yellow Bright contributed.

"And half of them are teachers at the School of Friendship," Nature Bloom included.

"And former teachers of ours since we graduated." Buffer informed.

"The other half is their closest best friends!" K?rona declared.

"Indeed, I'm Sandbar," Sandbar introduced.

"Yona yak!" Yona declared, "Distant relative of your friend Krona!"

"And Gallus," Gallus introduced, "I may be captain of the royal guards in Canterlot, but don't worry, I still know how to be a good friend!"

"Nice to meet all of you!" Roca greeted.

"She's remembered what I taught her the last time!" Nature Bloom happily said her thoughts out loud.

"Let's just hope that it pays off..." Sunshine Rays whimpered, as they watched Roca come face to face with Discord.

"Hello, Discord," Roca greeted, "The last time we saw each other didn't go so well..."

"Didn't go so well?! You petrified my beloved wife!" Discord pointed a claw at the stone witch, "And then turned me into stone and I winded up falling into the ocean when you released me!"

The other creatures gasped in unison as they watched and heard the conversation, thinking that Roca and Discord were going to fight.

"Discord, please! Forgive! Think of what Fluttershy would like you to do!" Nature Bloom cried out loud.

"Discord, I understand why you were mad at me, but I've already released your wife, you, and all the others! I really never intended for you to fall into the ocean." Roca explained, "I don't want to start such fights again, so I'm going to just...walk away and leave you in peace...."

Roca then turned away from Discord and walked off like she said she would, surprising every creature as they saw recognised how much Roca had changed.

"Wow, she's even better than we thought!" Yellow Bright commented.

"She did take in my words of no comparing with others, reluctance to fight, and not using a single nasty word!" Nature Bloom added.

Discord, overhearing the comments and seeing how Roca managed so well, quickly raced towards the Stone Witch, "Wait, Roca! I'm so sorry! Please, I beg for mercy!"

Discord kneeled down before Roca in a very dramatic manner, begging for forgiveness.

"I said I don't want to start a fight, so I made it clear that I don't want to hurt any creature, not even you." Roca clarified.

"You became so much better than I did when I reformed, Roca, you deserve a reward!" Discord began.

"I don't need rewards, having the Heroic Ten as my friends is already good enough." Roca replied.

"Then what about a little chance to explore the world outside your mountain?" Discord asked, as the scene zoomed out to show the big, wide ocean surrounding the Stone Mountain of Nothingness.

"It's just a big wide ocean surface, I've seen it each and everyday in my whole life living here!" Roca pointed out.

"But, I bet you'd wish to see what's underneath the surface of what you see everyday!" Discord said, snapping his finger and summoning a submarine in the process, causing every creature to gasp.

"A submarine!" Volcano exclaimed, "They're very expensive! Probably because building a good one is never easy!"

"Then you're all lucky to have me, because I, Discord, can summon submarines and operate them like an expert!" Discord claimed.

"So you're offering us a ride in the submarine?" Smolder asked.

"Indeed! To take a look at the Wonders of the Deep." Discord responded, conjuring up a scroll with his magic and showing a painting of many beautiful creatures and plants in the underwater world.

"I will like to see those Wonders of the Deep," Gallus joked.

"But, Alkali and I can just help most of you here transform into sea ponies!" silver stream pointed out as she held onto her necklace with a small piece of the magical Pearl of Transformation.

"I don't think we should rely on magic all the time, Professor Silverstream." Evergreen stated.

"Plus, a ride in a submarine is something not every creature gets to get..." Yellow Bright added in a persuasive tone.

"Alright...perhaps we should take the submarine..." Silverstream gave in.

"But....Yona doesn't like water! What if something goes wrong with the submarine, and Yona drowns?!" Yona asked in a panicked tone.

"Maybe not all of us should go..." Falcon Dive suggested.

"Indeed, I've swam in oceans hundreds of times! I can sit this one out!" Alkali raised her claw.

"Some creature has got to set up the next meal," Krona added, offering to stay behind.

"Some creature just got to accompany some creature who doesn't want a submarine ride," Sandbar said, as he comforted his wife Yona.

"But, who will look after my mountain?" Roca asked.

"We will!" Alkali, Krona, Yona and Sandbar all replied in unison.

"Or...maybe you should put a sign. To tell others that they cannot invade this mountain, especially in your absence." Volcano suggested, "I suggest words like No Annexing, No Impingement, No..."

"Sorry Volcano, but aren't those words a little...too rare and too hard to understand?" Buffer asked.

"Of course they are rare and hard to understand for majority!" Volcano implied, "Using such deep vocabulary can prove that you're intelligent, knowing a lot of things!"

"But won't using such words decrease the chances of your audience knowing what you mean?" Luster asked.

"And what's the point of using such words for a sign to tell others something, when you decrease the chances of them knowing what you mean?!" Falcon Dive asked.

"Well..." Volcano struggled to reply, before Alkali came right beside him, holding his leg claw with her front right claw.

"I can help Volcano figure out, you all just enjoy your ride!"

"Sure will!" Yellow Bright replied.

"Or you should say, 'I think we will!' Because you never know what will happen in the future! There might be change of plans, reality different from what you expect..." Volcano began listing his reasons for choice of words, only to be interrupted by the leaving creatures who shouted in unison, "WE KNOW!"

Discord drove the submarine down to the daisy seafloor, passing by all the marine plants and animals, which amazed the submarine riders.

"Wow," Gallus gasped.

"Underwater is so cool!" Smolder cheered.

"This submarine is cool!" Silverstream exclaimed.

"I love the life down here," Ocellus said her thoughts out loud.

"Wonderful nature," Nature Bloom could not help but say.

"Too bad Krona, Alkali, Volcano, Mr Sandbar and Madam Yona are missing this, it's too amazing to be missed!" Buffer commented.

"But you heard their reasons," Evergreen reminded.

"One of them is scared of water!" Falcon Dive stated.

"What if we took pictures of what we see down here and show them the pictures?!" Yellow Bright suggested after thinking for a while, "That way they will know what we saw looks like!"

"Great idea, Yellow Bright!" Luster Dawn praised.

"And we can show our castle-mate friends Eclipse and Shapeshifter, who volunteered to help clean up the School of Friendship during the spring break." Sunshine Rays added.

"But, you did not bring a camera down here with you!" Roca reminded.

"Who needs to bring, when they can just summon?" Discord asked, using his magic to conjure up a camera which he used to take a picture of every creature on the submarine except himself as the photo-taker. The camera then quickly printed out the photo, showing its abilities to the creatures.

"That camera will do!" Luster Dawn insisted.

After taking many photos per turn, the creatures finally stopped the photo-taking process to look at the said photos.

"Nice photos, Ocellus, you really took them well!" Smolder commented.

"It ws nothing, Smolder!" Ocellus responded, giggling.

"Gallus and I will take the ones we took home, to show our kids and my relative who babysits them!" Silverstream announced.

"Your kids are still babies!" Smolder argued.

"Babies can be interested, too!" Silverstream argued.

"Come on, please! I don't like fighting!" Roca pleaded, "Even when I'm not involved."

"Listen, fighting and arguing can get worse upon continuing, you got to stop! And not fight over small things!" Buffer approached.

The present Young Six members quickly listened and said in unison, "Alright, I'm sorry..."

Upon realising that they said the same thing without planning it, the four creatures shared a laugh.

"One of the best things about our friendship!" Silverstream and Gallus began, before Smolder and Ocellus said the remaining part, "Is that we never let such setbacks tear it apart!"

Smolder and Ocellus then shared a claw-to-hoof bump before they looked back at the photos they took wth the camera.

"Mind if I see some more of your photos, Ocellus?" Smolder asked.

"Sure Smolder! What are BFFs for?!" Ocellus asked, passing her pile of photos to Smolder.

"Fish, seaweed, turtles, crabs, lobsters, eels, rocks..." Smolder named the things she saw in the photos, "Bubbles, more fish, it's the same things all over and over again!"

"Sorry Smolder, that's life when you get used to the same routine." Silverstream apologised.

"Sorry Ocellus, I just got bored..." Smolder apologised.

"That's alright Smolder, I understand you, like BFFs do." Ocellus assured, placing her right hoof onto Smolder's left claw that was on the submarine floor.

"I'm going to take a look out the windows, probably for our last minutes in this ride," Smolder announced, getting up to look at the window.

"I'll sort out the photos while you do so!" Ocellus called too Smolder.

"Of course, Ocellus!" Smolder replied, still looking out the window.

"Still nothing interesting..." Smolder said to herself, just before she noticed a creature when she turned her head to look at the view outside from an angle.

"Huh?!" Smolder asked, before noticing hat the creature swam away in a flash. "I must be seeing things."

"Discord, do you think that it's about time we head back to Roca's mountain?" Luster politely asked the draconneques steering the submarine, "Don't forget that the others back there are waiting."

As Luster Dawn and Discord talked, they did not see what was right in front of the submarine since they were facing each other. Their conversation caught Smolder's attention as she looked at them in the direction that she could see what was right in front of the submarine as well; the strange creature she saw earlier!

"There's a strange creature!" Smolder shouted, pointing a claw at the submarine's front window. This time, every creature saw the strange creature she was talking about, who quickly responded by swimming away from them.

"I think we scared it," Evergreen told the others.

"We actually did," Nature Bloom replied.

"And after all the time I helped my beloved wife Fluttershy at her sanctuary, I've never learnt of any creature like that strange creature!" Discord announced, conjuring up a scroll that showed a video of the creature's movements from his point of view.

Ocelus examined the video before saying, "I've never seen this creature in any of the books about animals and creatures that I have read!"

"Do you think it's a sea pony?!" Silverstream asked, "It has a tail just like a sea pony!"

"But it has the head of a stallion, too!" Gallus observed.

"And look! It has legs and arms!" Smolder pointed out.

"Its arms look like those of a monkey's...and its legs look like those of a duck's!" Ocellus observed.

"Definetely not a sea pony!" Silverstream commented after hearing what Ocellus said.

Every creature then looked at Discord, causing him to respond, "Why is every creature looking at me?! I already told you that I don't know this creature!"

"But you yourself has a body with other animals' body parts!" Falcon Dive blurted out.

"True, but I really do NOT know anything about this weird new creature!" Discord declared.

"And look! It has wings!" Smolder pointed out after another close observation, "And those wings look like...the wings of a dragon!"

"A creature with all those different animals' and creatures' body parts?!" Sunshine Rays asked in shock.

"I never read of any creature nor animal like that!" Nature Bloom added.

"Maybe we're the first ones to find out!" Buffer could not help but say.

"If we're the first ones to find out, we got to get a closer look!" Smolder insisted.

"But how?!" Ocellus asked.

"Fear not, because once seen by Discord, can always be found by Discord!" Discord declared, before he snapped his fingers and teleported the submarine right next to the strange creature that every creature just saw.

The creature immediately responded by swimming away, causing Discord to give chase, "Stay still, new creature! My friends want to discover you!"

Discord drove the submarine after the creature, copying its exact moves as the chase continued, including zig-zag, loop-de-loops, up-downs, causing the riders of the submarine to slide towards its sides.

The chase finally ended when the creature got stuck in a batch of seaweed, causing Discord to stop the submarine nearby, happily declaring, "Caught up to the creature!"

"Only because it's stuck in that seaweed!" Smolder insisted, approaching the front window to take a closer look.

"We should get it out, to make up for scaring it earlier," Nature Bloom figured.

"Then we can finally have an even better discovery of it!" Smolder exclaimed.

"Should the creature's good come first?" Falcon Dive asked.

"We're so close to getting it and now you don't want it?!" Discord glared at Falcon Dive while asking.

"We caused the creature to get itself into trouble! That is not very right!" Sunshine Rays scolded.

"Let me guess, the right thing to do is to free the creature?" Gallus asked the white pegasus.

"Exactly," Sunshine Rays replied.

"Easy peasy!" Discord responded, snapping his fingers and teleporting the creature stuck in the seaweed out of the batch and right beside the submarine. Unfortunately, that did not get the seaweed off of the creature, as the plant glued itself to the poor aquatic being.

"Is that what you meant to do?" Yellow Bright asked the Lord of Chaos.

"Obviously not!" Discord snapped, "Actually, obviously not completely! I was going to get the seaweed completely off of it by teleporting it out of the batch!"

"But it still has seaweed on it!" Ocellus pointed out.

"That is because the seaweed is not just any seaweed. It is called Unstoppable Underwater Weed." Nature Bloom informed, "It got its name from the fact that once it catches a creature, it will forever stick onto the said creature unless dragon fire burns the plant, causing it to wither and fall off."

"But dragon fire cannot be underwater!" Smolder pointed out.

"That's why it is unstoppable underwater. Underwater is the one place its weakness can never survive in." Nature Bloom responded.

"Speaking of weed, the creature that got trapped in a huge batch of the weed still has it stuck all over it!" Evergreen informed, looking through one of the submarine side windows.

"It cannot swim because its tail, arms and legs are all tied up in that weed!" Ocellus observed.

"It's mouth is tied up too, and the body...not so bad...plenty of gaps between those few wraps around the body making it like just quarter level of a full mummy bandage costume." Yellow Bright commented.

"What if I petrified the weed?" Roca asked, "I've practised my powers millions of times, even hit underwater targets without petrifying the water, so maybe..."

"But won't you risk turning the creature into stone alongside the weed?!" Smolder asked, worried.

"Don't worry, I practised enough," Roca reassured, before reaching out her left arm, palm facing the creature before she unleashed her full focus to turn the weed stuck onto the creature into stone. Unfortunately, Roca grunted as she struggled, with the desired effects yet to come. Finally Roca gave up and was tired from her attempts to petrify the weed, collapsing from exhaustion.

"Roca! Are you alright?!" Luster asked.

"Alright, just out of energy and focus, for now..." Roca replied, still tired from her attempts.

"Nature Bloom is right about the weed being unstoppable," Buffer pointed out.

"Nothing can stop it!" Silverstream added.

"Except dragon fire!" Nature Bloom reminded.

"And dragon fire can never go underwater to stop it." Smolder ended.

"What if we bring the weed out of the water to dragon fire instead?" Luster asked, getting an idea.

"But that will mean bringing the creature out of the water, and in here!" Falcon Dive pointed out.

"We don't have any other choice!" Luster declared.

"Bringing the creature covered in weed in it is!" Discord said, snapping his fingers and teleporting the creature covered in weeds inside the submarine.

The creature was startled to experience being in a submarine with strangers for the very first time, to the point that it sprayed water at Discord through its blowhole on its head.

"Hey! I am not due for a bath until tomorrow!" Discord complained.

"The creature's just scared!" Nature Bloom announced, before also getting sprayed by the creature's water jets.

The creature then turned its head all around, trying to hit every creature in the submarine with its water jets.

"It seems like this creature's water jets never run out!" Falcon Dive commented, dodging the blasts.

"But that's impossible! Everything has a limit!" Sunshine Rays commented, also trying her best to dodge the blasts.

A few more seconds after those sentences were said, the water-spraying creature finally tired out and could barely shoot water jets, as only a small droplet of water last out of its blowhole and fell back in.

"Phew, it's over." Discord heaved a sigh of relief.

"Listen, new creature," Luster approached, "We don't mean any harm, we were just amazed by your appearance and would like to discover more about you, so we chased you and accidentally got you trapped in the Unstoppable Underwater Weed Batch. We are really sorry about all this trouble we caused for you."

"And we're going to make up for it by fixing it!" Smolder added, approaching the creature, who was triggered to see her, but with its mouth wrapped up by the weed, I could not say a thing.

"Don't worry, Smolder just wants to help you," Ocellus told the creature in her best reassuring tone.

Smolder then released her controlled fire from her mouth, burning the weed and causing it to wither and weaken, falling off of its hostage. Once freed, the creature speechlessly thanked Smolder, "Thank you..."

"Smolder. My name is Smolder." Smolder introduced.

"I'm Droplet," the creature introduced in return, "Droplet Tidal...but you all should just call me Droplet..."

"My friends and I never seen any creature like you, Droplet." Smolder continued the conversation.

"That's because...I'm..." Droplet struggled to respond.

"You're what?" Smolder asked.

"A dragon..." Droplet finished.

Every creature else gasped in shock.

"But, you're like a hybrid of all kinds of animals!" Ocellus could not help but point out.

"And shot water at us!" Silverstream added.

"That's because I'm...a Water Dragon." Droplet revealed.

Every creature else gasped again.

"But, what explains your body?" Evergreen asked.

"Unless I am wrong, you're like a super hybrid with a head like a stallion's, dorsal fin and fin rays of a goldfish, hands and arms like those of a proboscis monkey, legs and feet like those of a duck, stream-lined body like a sailfish and a tail like a seapony's." Nature Bloom added.

"That's the unique thing about every water dragon," Droplet explained, "Our bodies are not determined by our parents nor ancestors, it's like a nature wonder. Having body parts of different animals, or should I say, body parts similar to different body parts of different animals makes water dragons amphibious, capable of living on land and in water."

"But, why don't we see any water dragons on land or anywhere above water?" Smolder asked.

Droplet immediately felt uncomfortable as he expressed a frown, "Water Dragons are never allowed to leave the huge bodies of water."

"What?! Why?!" Silverstream asked.

"In order to prevent something terrible that happened...over a millennium ago...from repeating..." Droplet he'd back his tears.

"What is that terrible thing?" Smolder asked.

"Smolder, you're a fire dragon, you will never like this story..." Droplet cried.

"Wait, did you just say I'm a fire dragon?" Smolder asked.

"You are a dragon that breathe fire, so you're obviously a fire dragon." Droplet explained, "And fire dragons do have...a not very nice part in the story behind the water dragons' disappearance from land and sky."

"I can handle it, I've learnt from the Council of Firnedship that these things must be handled!" Smolder insisted.

"A very long time ago...water dragons were free to swim in the bodies of water, run on land, and fly in the sky. Fire dragons could run and fly too, but unlike water dragons, they could not breathe underwater, they could resist lava instead. The water dragons were alright with the fact, but the jealous fire dragons were not. With most of the world covered in huge bodies of water, lakes, seas, oceans, the water dragons surely had a lot more space than fire dragons. So the fire dragons decided to attack the water dragons, resulting in a dragon world war which caused a lot of damage; forest fire, floods, smoke pollution, soil erosion... many creatures suffered from the dragons' actions. The Water Dragon Emperor did not want anymore harm done to any creature, so he decided that he and all of the water dragons should give in, and conceal themselves underneath the bodies of water forever, never to go on land nor sky. With land and sky no longer territories of water dragons, the fire dragons finally stopped their pursuit of the water dragons."

Smolder was speechless to hear the story behind the water dragons' life of being concealed underwater, mostly because of what her kind did in the story.

"Fire dragons did all that?!"she asked in disbelief.

"Over a millennium ago...back then...nothing but natural land all around the world the water dragons saw before they went into hiding underwater...forever..." Droplet sadly nodded.

"That means that was before the foundation of Equestria!" Luster gasped.

"So you water dragons hid underwater for a lot longer than we hippogriffs did!" Silverstream could not help but say in shock.

"It's alright, we got used to it...always being underwater..." Droplet then attempted to swim off by flicking his tail, only to fall onto the submarine floor, causing every creature to rush to his aid.

"I'm alright..." Droplet assured, getting up on his legs before trying to swim off again, only to fall once again.

"You do realise that there's no water inside this submarine here, do you?" Smolder asked.

"Wait, that means I'm...." Droplet was speechless, "On land?"

"Actually, you're in an environment that is kind of like land because there's no water in here. The round is the submarine floor, and he surroundings are walls, the top is the ceiling, and there's air...." Luster explained before being cut off by Droplet.

"I always wanted to feel air!" the water dragon said dreamingly, before snapping out of it, "I mean, being underwater for the whole of my life, I never get to know what it feels being out of it!"

"Droplet, I remember you said that water dragons flew in the skies...a very long time ago..." Smolder reminded, trying her best not to make either of them uncomfortable,"So...can you...fly?"

"All water dragons have blowholes on their heads, and dragon wings naturally part of their bodies. The blowholes are not for breathing unlike those that dolphins and whales have. Water Dragons use their blowholes to shoot out the water they generate. The wings, are dragon wings. Both these traits make us dragons. We can magically produce something natural, and we fly with wings like a dragon." Droplet explained, before attempting to take off, but unfortunately, he did it in his swimming manners once again and fell back onto the submarine floor.

"You did not open your wings!" Smolder said, rushing to Droplet's aid as she pulled him up by his hand.

"Sorry...never leaving the water means never getting to fly. I got too used to swimming." Droplet explained.

"Looks like some creature needs flying practices," Falcon Dive announced, "And I know where there's plenty of fresh air and space!"

"Please don't say this submarine..." Sunshine Rays whispered to herself.

"Roca's mountain!" Falcon Dive revealed the answer.

"What?!" Luster panicked, "Roca's mountain! Oh no!"

"What do you mean, oh no?" Roca asked in a confused tone.

"Our friends are still there! Waiting for us! They must have waited forever!" Luster explained.

"That's an exaggeration." Gallus pointed out.

"But it means that they waited for a very long time!" Luster stated the main point.

"Calm down Luster, we can just explain everything to them..." Evergreen began, before being cut off.

"Discord, please, please, please, get us all back to Roca's mountain right away!" Luster pleaded.

"As you wish!" Discord insisted, snapping his fingers and teleporting every creature back onto the mountain, taking Droplet with them while making the submarine vanish.

"There you all are! What took you so long?!" Alkali asked, approaching them while Volcano, Krona, Yona and Sandbar stopped their business in order to turn their attention towards the recently returned creatures.

"It's...kind of a long story..." Nature Bloom shyly replied.

"And who is this new creature friends brought back?" Yona asked, pointing a hoof at Droplet.

"Every creature, I will like you to meet Droplet, he's our new Water Dragon friend!" Smolder introduced.

"Hi, every creature..." Droplet waved shyly, as he was not used to meeting creatures out of the water.

"Is it just me, our does he look like a super hybrid of a lot of different kinds of animals?" Volcano asked, observing Droplet.

"That's because water dragons like him have body parts similar to those of different animals. That makes them amphibious, although, they never left the water for a very long time..." Smolder explained.

"As a result, I never got to fly, never got to see the world..." Droplet sadly sighed.

"Until now! Look all around you! You're in the world out of the sea!" Alkali cheerfully told Droplet, spreading hr front legs out as she stood on her back legs, as the scene zoomed out to show Roca's mountain from a far away point of view.

"Wait. We brought him out of the water, where he's never supposed to go?!" Sunshine Rays asked, her eyes widening at the same time.

"Is something wrong, Sunshine?" Krona asked.

"We did something wrong!" Sunshine Rays shouted, "Droplet said that he is a water dragon, and water dragons are never allowed to leave bodies of water, and we literally brought him out of the water onto land! We're helping him do something against his kind's rules! It is terribly wrong!"

"Sorry Droplet, I'm afraid that you got to go back underwater...Sunshine's got a good point." Luster apologised to Droplet after hearing what Sunshine Rays recently said.

"But...I just got to see this world!" Droplet complained, "I always wanted to see this world! Please, just let me see a little more!"

"Breaking your kind's rules and resuming this act after knowing that you did so?!" Sunshine Rays asked, sounding somewhat angry, "That is going from terribly wrong to super wrong! And if we supported you in the act what we will be doing is extremely wrong!"

"Just a few more minutes?" Droplet continued pleading, but Sunshine Rays was not buying it.

"Come on, Sunshine. Think of others," Falcon Dive flew towards and landed right beside the pegasus.

"I actually am thinking of others, wanting them to do what is right!" Sunshine Rays insisted.

"But Droplet might never get such chances ever again!" Smolder stood up for her new friend.

"If you want to do what's wrong, don't blame any creature but yourselves when the consequences come!" Sunshine Rays informed, before physically turning her back and walking away.

"That's classic Sunshine Rays for you, always so strict and wanting every creature to follow rules." Smolder whispered to Droplet.

"Who wants lunch, every creature?!" Sandbar asked, "Yona and I set up the picnic formation!"

As the others rushed to the picnic, Smolder steed another conversation with Droplet, "We're having lunch now, will you like some?"

"Lunch? With you?" Droplet asked, causing Smolder to realise something.

"Right...you water dragons never visited land nor sky. You don't know anything about food out of the water. And all th food my friends and I brought are from land, not water."

"Actually, water dragons are omnivorous, we can eat anything...except for poison, obviously..." Droplet replied.

"But you still did not get the point. You probably never ate food from land before!" Smolder clarified.

"There's a first time for everything..." Droplet pointed out.

The next thing every creature knew, was Droplet's lack of knowledge about the most basic food from land.

"What is this?" Droplet asked, pointing at a bowl of hay.

"That's hay, ponies and yaks eat that." Smolder quickly explained.

"What's this?" Droplet asked, pointing at the bowl full of apples.

"Apples from an Apple Farm, Sweet Apple Acres. Apples are fruits that grow from trees." Smolder explained.

"What's this?" Droplet asked, pointing at pieces of a water melon on a tray.

"Those are pieces of a water melon, a huge juicy fruit with lots of water in it." solder answered.

"What's this?" Droplet asked, pointing at an opened box of cupcakes.

"Those are cupcakes from Sugar Cube Corner!" Smolder quickly answered.

"This is going to take all day!" Krona complained.

"Sorry Krona, but if Droplet wants to know about all these different types of food from land, he got to see them before we eat them!" Buffer pointed out.

"How about this?" Luster asked, using her magic to levitate one kind of every food from the picnic and place them onto one huge tray.

"Now you can ask about all these different foods without bothering every creature else!" Luster told Droplet and Smolder, levitating the tray to the water dragon.

"Thanks, Luster!" Smolder thanked, before walking towards the mountain's cliff's edge with Droplet.

"Wait a second! Don't forget a coconut!" Alkali called, to the two dragons.

"A coconut?!" Droplet asked, showing that he did not have any knowledge of the said fruit.

"Some of the food are unhealthy, so drinking coconut water helps you cool down and neutralise the heat in your body!" Alkali explained, giving Smolder two opened young coconuts with straws, since Droplet was holding the tray of food with his two hands.

Once the two dragons fitted down on the stable edge t have their meal, Droplet began apologising, "I'm so sorry for asking all those questions, Smolder. You usually never have to answer them, but I...I'm new to everything here. I just wanted to know more about this world."

"I understand Droplet, I mean, I totally would ask you that many questions if I finally got to be part of your world underwater..." Smolder assured.

"There's no way Emperor Oceanic will ever want that," Droplet sadly sighed.

"Emperor Oceanic?" Smolder asked.

"The emperor of the water dragons. Ruler of Dragon Seas, the underwater kingdom empire of water dragons" Droplet explained.

"Your land is called Dragon Seas?" Smolder asked.

"Territory, our territory is called Dragon Seas." Droplet clarified.

"I'm originally from the Dragon Lands, the land of the dragons, ruled by Dragon Lord Ember!" Smolder could not help but tell Droplet.

"So...you fire dragons have a lords, while the water dragons and I have emperors and empresses?!" Droplet asked.

"Looks like it," Smolder replied, before taking a sip of her coconut drink through her straw.

"What are you doing, making that noise?" Droplet asked, changing the subject.

"I'm just drinking the coconut juice from a straw." Smolder replied.

"I thought it was called coconut water." Droplet responded.

"It can be called coconut milk, coconut juice or coconut water. If you cannot decide, call it coconut drink." Smolder answered.

"And what does it mean by 'drink'?" Droplet asked, showing another basic thing on land that he did not know about due to his life entirely underwater.

"That means swallowing a liquid like water, or juice or milk!" Smolder explained, getting annoyed.

"Sorry...being underwater all the time means never drinking...therefore, never needed to use that word!" Droplet shyly replied.

"You water dragons don't need to drink?" Smolder asked.

"We generally have lots of water in our bodies that we produce. Plus, we shoot water out of our bodies, no need to take it in. But then again, I will like to know what does this coconut drink tastes like." Droplet explained before expressing curiosity as he looked at the opened young coconut in his hands.

"Then there's only one way to find out!" Smolder chirped, signalling Droplet to take a sip of the drink.

"It's...it's...divine! It's so good! The best drink I've ever had!" Droplet could not help but exclaim.

"Isn't that the first drink you've ever had?" Smolder asked.

"Oh, right....sorry, I just...love all these things from land that I never got to try until now..." Droplet shyly smiled.

The two dragons then continued sipping their coconut drinks from their straws until no more could be consumed. Smolder then took her spoon off her tray of food, causing Droplet to point at the spoon and ask, "What's that tiny shovel?"

"It's called a spoon," Smolder replied, showing that she was a bit annoyed that Droplet did not even know what a spoon was.

"Sorry, water dragons just never needed to use...spoons...." Droplet apologised.

"Dragons...I mean, fire dragons don't need to use spoons much, neither. But a spoon really comes in handy when it comes to eating the flesh of young coconuts." Smolder explained, using the spoon to dig into the young coconut's soft flesh and send it into her mouth.

Observing Smolder, Droplet did the same using his spoon, feeding himself the flesh of his young coconut. The two dragons quickly finished the flesh with Dorlet asking, "The coconuts are now empty, what should we do with them?"

"We can either throw them into the trash, or bury them, or keep them..." Smolder began listing, before being cut off by Droplet.

"I'd like to keep them, in order to remember this moment that we shared."

"Suit yourself," Smolder responded, getting up, causing Droplet to stop her.

"Wait, if you don't want to keep yours, at least let me keep it. Please?"

"As you wish..." Smolder sighed, giving her coconut to Droplet's free hand.

"Thank you, Smolder." Droplet thanked, before the fire dragon noticed his tray beside him, still full of food.

"Droplet, your food! I haven't explained them all to you!"

"That's alright, that coconut surely satisfied me more than ever." Droplet assured.

"Alright, every creature. Ready to make some soup?!" Alkali asked, catching the dragons' attention.

"Soup?" Droplet asked.

"Guess that means you water dragons don't know what soup is." Smolder responded.

"Soup is a liquid dish, typically savoury and made by boiling vegetables in stock or water." Volcano defined.

"Did you say 'in water'?" Droplet asked.

"You know, water in a pot placed above fire?" Yellow Bright tried to explain in as less words as possible.

"So...water and fire are both needed to make soup?" Droplet asked.

"Well...the pot is needed, too...to contain the water!" Alkali quickly pointed out, as she hung the pot over a a circle of firewood.

"If you need water, I can give you as much as you need!" Droplet offered.

"No thanks, I've brought the water for the soup." Alkali assured, before flying to her luggage, only to discover that the water she was looking for was not there. "Hey, where did the bottle of water I hid in my luggage among those coconuts go?!"

"Sorry, Alkali, but when we came back, I was very thirsty, so I drank it all." Silverstream apologised.

"This is great!" Falcon Dive sarcastically commented, "No water, no soup."

"Never fear, because Discord's..." Discord began, only to be cut off by Droplet.

"Sorry Discord, but I believe that a Water Dragon is the correct creature for the job."

"But, the water we need is freshwater!" Sunshine Rays pointed out.

"Despite being underwater for the whole of their lives, water dragons know how to produce the specific kind of water they want to produce!" Droplet insisted, before closing his eyes as he focused on the water he wanted to produce, before spraying the fresh water from his blowhole into the pot, making the pot half full.

"This is really freshwater?" Roca asked.

"I'll double check." Luster said, before casting a spell to scan the water. "Yes, it is freshwater, clean and fresh."

"Water Dragons can make all sorts of different water; Pure Water, Freshwater, Seawater, Deionised Water, Distilled Water, Rain Water..." Droplet explained, before Volcano cut him off.

"Wait, if you water dragons never left the bodies of water and never went to the surface before, how do you know about rain?"

"Water Dragons know all about water," Droplet explained, "It's our thing, we taught it for generations since before we disappeared from land and sky to conceal ourselves deep underwater."

"Can creatures please stop talking and get soup-making?!" an annoyed Krona asked.

"Oh, right. Sorry..." Luster apologised.

"Allow me to do this," Smolder proudly announced, before setting the firewood ablaze.

"Now we can start making soup," Evergreen announced.

"Can you believe it? Both water and fire are needed to make soup!" Droplet asked Smolder.

"Yeah I can believe it. I made soup before a gazillion times," Smolder exaggerated.

"Sorry, I just never made soup before. Never drank any liquids, only eating underwater plants, carcass of dead animals underwater..." Droplet listed.

"Dead animals?!" Smolder asked in shock.

"It's to clear up the waters of rotting meat." Droplet quickly explained, "Dead underwater organisms can really pollute the waters, especially dead animals."

"Looks like you're the underwater life dragon expert," Smolder commented, with her claws each on one side of her waist.

"And you're the land life dragon expert, telling me everything about life on land." Droplet remarked, doing the same gesture.

Hearing Droplet's comment made Smolder blush a bit, "Well.... not everything about life on land, just all that I kow. The basic things like the food here, drinks here, actions like walking, running, flying and climbing..."

As Smolder went on, she was oblivious to the fact that Ocellus was staring at her(Smolder) and Droplet in silence and hesitation.

"Ocellus, your soup." Sandbar handed a bowl of soup to the cyan changeling.

"Thanks, Sandbar..." Ocellus thanked.

"Is something wrong?" Silverstream asked, noticing that Ocellus was frowning.

"Nothing's wrong!" OCellus shook her head vigorously, "I was just thinking of something negative..."

"If you think of negative thoughts, cure it by thinking of positive thoughts! Or something funny!" ?Yellow Bright advised.

"Thanks, positivity expert." Gallus thanked.

"Alright, positive thoughts...positive thoughts..." Ocellus said out loud, as she tried to think.

"Like some soup?" Luster asked Smolder and Droplet, levitating two bowls of soup into their claws and hands respectively.

"Thanks, Luster." Smolder thanked.

"Thank you, Luster." Droplet politely bowed as he thanked her.

"There is no need to be so respectful, Droplet. We're all friends here." Luster giggled.

"Sorry...it's just the way Water Dragons thank those who give them food. It's our living thing need." Droplet explained.

"May I remind you that living things need food, water and air to survive?" Volcano corrected.

"Water Dragons can breathe underwater without doing t the surface, making us unique. So the only thing we don't always have with us all the time is food. We only have food sometimes, not all." Droplet explained, before walking off to the cliff's edge with Smolder.

This time, Ocellus was having both her eyes on them, and giving an excuse to follow them,"Every creature, please don't mind me, but I need to take a little break from sitting here...to look afar at the sea, it's good to look afar."

"Yes, looking at far away things is good for your eyes." Falcon Dive commented.

After finishing the soup, Droplet could not help but tell Smolder, "This soup is delicious!"

"Yes, it is carrot, corn and tomato soup, made of the sweetest vegetables..." Smolder replied, before being cut off by Droplet.

"And it came from my water and your fire."

"I would say partially, not completely because my fire just provides the heat that cooks it while your water is needed to boil the ingredients into soup." Smolder pointed out.

"Right..." Droplet responded, "But look, fire and water, both used in order to make soup..."

"Yes, they are both used to make soup alongside the pot and other ingredients! For different soups, different ingredients, but the fire, water and pot are always needed!" Smolder replied in an annoyed tone.

"Sorry for annoying you, it's just...the way we're both needed makes me think; if we work so well together...why can't all fire dragons and water dragons work well together, too?" Droplet voiced his thoughts out.

"You mean you... want fire dragons and water dragons to be friends?" Smolder asked.

"Yes...especially since we're friends Smolder, a fire dragon and a water dragon, being friends with each other." Droplet explained.

"Well...since the different creatures of Equestria and Beyond got together because of the friendships formed between their leaders and an individual of each of their kind...I don't say that fire dragons and water dragons becoming friends is impossible..." Smolder replied.

"So that means we can make peace between fire dragons and water dragons?" Droplet asked, lightening up.

"If we can get our leaders to be friends and maybe show them how well fire and water work together to make delicious soup, maybe we can!" Smolder said her ideas out loud.

"And that means that water dragons can finally visit land and air again! And finally be part of this world!" Droplet exclaimed, rising his arms high in the air with joy.

"And we can exchange what we know about our lives. On land..." Smolder began.

"And underwater." Droplet finished.

A song's music then began to play, as Smolder sang;

"I used to think that water is slippery, rusts metal and gets things damp.
Also think of its disadvantages, of being able to spoil a candlelit lamp.
But now that I see the plus side,
that water is useful as a need for a living thing's life.
Water also has lots of good uses,
making it beneficial as long as there's no misuses."

Droplet sang;

"I used to think that fire burns things down, turning them into ashes.
Also think of the disadvantages, of causing harmful gases.
But now I see the need to have fire around,
it provides warmth to cook the food,
that is needed for the creatures on air and ground.
Fire can still be something good,
as long as it is used in the way it should."

Both sang the chorus as they flew and danced in their imagination;

"Fire and water,
so different from each other,
but still alike in a certain way.
Both have their pros and cons in life,
with their advantages making your day!

When used together,
in the correct manner,
they can create an amazing delight,
when fire and water unite."

Smolder sang;

"Fire may not be as loved as water,
for causing burning disasters.
But it can clean things up by clearing out the bacteria,
in the region or area.
There are still somethings to love about fire,
like being a light and warmth supplier."

Droplet sang;

"Water may be something many love and enjoy,
but similar to fire, there are things that it still can destroy.
It may be essential for washing and cleaning,
but it needs the aid of other compounds to do its thing.
There are still some downsides of water,
but there is still plus sides that it offers."

Both sang the chorus once more;

"Fire and water,
so different from each other,
but still alike in a certain way.
Both have their pros and cons in life,
with their advantages making your day!

When used together,
in the correct manner,
they can create an amazing delight,
when fire and water unite."

After a short instrumental verse, the two ended their song, singing, "When fire and water unite..." as they gazed into each other's eyes.

Ocellus, who witnessed and overheard everything was speechless to see how close her Best Friend and new water dragon friend had become.

"So, I can send a message to Dragon Lord Ember to tell her that I befriended a water dragon, who wishes to have peace between fire dragons and water dragons, and tell her to have a meeting with the leader of the water dragons, alone, before letting the subjects meet." Smolder began.

"Are you sure that she will listen to you? I mean, from what history says, the fire dragons are not willing to listen to what water dragons say about wanting peace and harmony." Droplet asked.

"That is the past, Droplet. A lot has changed, fire dragons are mostly friends now, including the Dragon Lord, trust me." Smolder assured, "She even chose me to represent the dragons at the School of Friendship ages ago, and I was the only dragon student at that school back then!"

"Really? Your leader chose you out of all the dragons?" Droplet asked.

"Probably because I was the right size, right age, and perhaps...the younger sister of her former enemy Garble, who competed and fought her for the role of dragon lord when her father, the old dragon lord had to step down." Smolder figured.

"You have a sibling?" Droplet asked.

"Of course I do! My older brother Garble, whom I nickname Gar-Gar, is definitely my sibling, and closest sibling not in terms of distance, but in terms of character and friendship." Smolder explained.

"I have a brother, too! Only, instead of older, my brother is younger. Plus, he's my non-identical twin, named Dribble, we hatched on the same day, but I came to the world a few minutes before he did." Droplet explained.

"Does he dream to be free and see the world above the water like you do?" Smolder asked.

"He does, but he knew it was impossible as long as water dragons are forbidden to leave the underwater world." Droplet explained.

"Don't worry, we'll change that and grant you water dragons freedom!" Smolder assured.

"But...I never physically went to see Emperor Oceanic, the leader of the water dragons, the ruler of Dragon Seas, before! What if he doesn't believe me when I tell him that fire dragons changed, or worse, punish me?!" Droplet asked.

"You have new friends who can and will help you." Smolder assured with a determined facial expression.

"You want us to do write a letter to the emperor of the water dragons for you?!" Buffer asked in shock.

"I'm sorry, I can't think of what to write to ensure he won't see half of it and....punish me for having something to do with fire dragons..." Droplet apologised.

"Listen, you got to learn to write it yourself, or you'll never learn!" Sunshine Rays pointed out.

"All we can do is point you in the right direction," Evergreen added.

"And let you spread your wings from there!" Falcon Dive ended.

"Speaking of spreading wings, you already did that when you flew with me just now." Smolder told Droplet, nudging the water dragon as she did.

Seeing how close the dragons were getting was making Ocellus even more uncomfortable with each passing second, as she could not help but growl in jealousy and storm off without every creature noticing.

"I'm Smolder's BFF whom she trusts the most! I'm Smolder's BFF whom she is closest to, the most! I'm Smolder's BFF whom she spends time with the most! And now, she's letting a new, just-met, just-discovered water dragon take my place?!" Ocellus angrily said to herself as she paced at the cliff edge before stopping in her tracks and cried.

"It's only a matter of time before Smolder completely forgets that I even exists! What do I do? What do I do?"

"Come on Droplet! Do you really want to share this world with all of your water dragon friends or not?!" Volcano asked.

"Sure I do! Especially get to see all of you again, you're all wonderful friends, especially you, Smolder!" Droplet complimented.

"It's nothing, Droplet." Smolder responded in a tone that expressed that she liked the compliment.

Ocellus, watching the group from afar and overhearing what they said, was even angrier to hear that Smolder liked Droplet complimenting her(Smolder).

"That does it! I got to get that water dragon away from her! If that's the last thing that can make sure Smolder doesn't forget me!" Ocellus announced to herself, in a blind, jealous rage.

"Maybe you should not mention anything about fire dragons until the end," Alkali suggested.

"Good point, alongside warning him that what would come later in the message can be very shocking..." Droplet commented, before a wasp came buzzing at his face. "What is this little creature?" he asked, his eyes focusing on the insect capable of flight.

"It's a wasp!" screamed Krona.

"A wasp? Out of the water and able to fly? And a lot noisier and different from the sea wasps underwater?!" Droplet asked.

"Sea wasps?!" most of the creatures asked in unison.

"Doesn't matter that, Droplet! This wasp in the air can sting, too! " Smolder warned.

"Try releasing water! Wasps don't like water, so maybe if you show it the you can shoot water, it might not want to go close to you anymore!" Nature Bloom advised.

Droplet did as told, and released a geyser of water through his blowhole, but the wasp was still not giving up until he bent his head down and shot the geyser of water at the little insect, sending it far away.

"Well done, Droplet!" Evergreen praised.

"But what was that wasp doing on my mountain?!" Roca asked.

"I don't know! There isn't much food, and there's no way a wasp can fly a long distance without resting!" Nature Bloom answered.

"Maybe it's a super wasp, an unknown species of wasp that is yet to be discovered?" Falcon Dive sarcastically commented.

"I doubt that..." Gallus replied.

Unknown to every creature, the wasp landed on an edge of Roca's mountain, closer to the splashing waves. The wasp turned into a dizzy Ocellus, who tried to make Droplet look terrible in her wasp form.

"How about this; I am Droplet, an explorer and material-collector who discovered that the creatures on land had invented a machine that they could use to explore the underwater world." Droplet asked the others about his first line in the letter.

"Introducing yourself is a key that must be featured..." Sunshine Rays commented, before Droplet noticed a skunk behind her, pointing a finger at the animal.

"A skunk!" panicked Silverstream.

"I got this, Droplet!" Smolder bravely declared, leaping right in front of him as every creature else cleared.

Smolder then scared the skunk away by releasing several fireballs that erupted into flames that lasted a few seconds in front of it, causing Droplet to praise her, "Wow, Smolder. Your fireballs are amazing!"

"And useful," Smolder added.

"First a wasp, now a skunk?!" Yona asked.

"Where did these animals came from, anyway?" Sandbar asked.

"And how did they get here?!" Krona added.

"Don't look at me! I would never do such thing as bring them here! I swear!" Discord insisted, when every creature looked at him, expressing that they thought that he was the reason.

"Look on the bright side, they're gone now!" Yellow Bright informed every creature.

Unknown to every creature, the skunk who ran down the mountain transformed into Ocellus, as she tried to make Droplet get a bad reputation in her skunk form. Ocellus was angry that her second attempt failed, and was even angrier to know that Smolder, her BFF, had defended who she(Ocelllus) was jealous of from her(Ocellus).

"I was stuck in some Unstoppable Underwater Weed, and the creatures helped me by bringing me into their machine to get the weed off of me. Among them was a fire dragon, who burnt the weed without hurting me..." Droplet went on telling the others what he thought that he should write.

"Go on..." Evergreen calmly encouraged.

That was when Droplet noticed a colourful shell that he was familiar with, right behind the Kirin.

"A cone snail!" he gasped.

"A what?!" Yellow Bright asked.

Droplet flew over the creatures and bravely shot a powerful water jet at the cone snail, sending it into the ocean.

"Epic targeting!" Falcon Dive complimented.

"I could really use a guard like you," Gallus added.

"No need to thank me, and no need to get so excited. Water Dragons are taught to handle dangerous creatures like cone snails." Droplet responded.

"But you handled that cone snail out of the water, for the very first time since you never left the water before! You're awesome!" Smolder hugged Droplet as she praised him.

"Thanks, Smolder..." Droplet blushed a tiny bit as she hugged him.

Out of every creature's sight, the cone snail turned back into Ocellus, who had transformed into it in an attempt to scare Droplet and make the water dragon look awful. She growled as not only did the attempt failed like the last two, it also brought the dragons closer together, accomplishing the opposite of what she wanted!

"The fire dragons are not like their forefathers anymore! They have changed! They are friendlier and better for real now! Thanks to their creature friends from Equestria and Beyond!" Droplet continued saying what he thought he should write, just before he was interrupted by Smolder.

"Droplet, look out!"

Smolder leap right in front of Droplet, facing her head towards the sky as a hungry hawk swooped down at him. The fire dragon released a cloud of smoke at the predatory bird, causing it to cough and change its direction and mind, leaving every creature alone.

"Thanks, Smolder." Droplet thanked, "You really saved me this time."

"Just returning the favour," Smolder winked.

The hawk flew close to the surface and snuck to the rocks at the bottom of Roca's mountain, landing on one of the rocks and turned into a furious Ocellus. She could not believe that she had brought the dragons even closer again!

"Underwater, we don't use pencils and erasers nor quills and ink. Instead, we write with our fingers or fins in by making lines in the sand, or scratch a small stone against a flat stone tablet." Droplet explained, after Smolder attempted to give him a scroll and quill.

"So you're going to write on stone using stone?!" Smolder asked.

"Something like that..." Droplet smiled nervously, just before their conversation was interrupted by Alkali's screams.

"What is that thing?!" she asked, pointing her claw to the strange animal that looked like a giant scorpion with wings.

Smolder and Droplet bravely reacted by shooting fireballs and water jets at the beast, but their attacks cancelled each other out, to their dismay.

"Your water jets put out my fireballs!" Smolder complained.

"While your fireballs took out my water jets!" Droplet argued.

The beast seemed delighted to see that the dragons were having an argument, before it got zapped by a beam Luster fired.

"Leave them alone!" the unicorn bravely distracted the beast, turning its attention towards her.

"Luster!" both dragons stopped arguing as they called their friend's name in unison.

Smolder got ready to shoot another fireball, but Droplet intervened, "Wait! You saw the your fireballs and my water jets don't work well together in combat!"

"Then let me use my fireballs alone!" Smolder shrugged.

"Why don't use your smoke clouds?! I'll wet its wings so they won't work well, so you can release a smoke cloud to weaken it!" Droplet explained.

"I actually think that will work!" Smolder smiled.

Luster kept shooting the flying scorpion with her beams, but it kept coming closer to her as if it had grown a resistance against her attacks. Luckily for her, Droplet flew above the beast and released a huge droplet of water onto its wings, causing the animal to fall onto the ground as its wings stopped working.

"Bull's eye!" Droplet cheered.

"It's not over yet!" Smolder announced, releasing a cloud of smoke that surrounded the animal, causing it to cough while Luster teleported herself to safety, beside some of her best friends, Sunshine Rays, Volcano and Alkali.

Once the smoke cleared, Smolder and Droplet approached the giant winged scorpion with their own glares and fierce stands.

"Leave our friends alone, now!" they shouted in unison, as Smolder revealed some flames in her mouth, while Droplet's blowhole released a geyser of water.

Defeated, the animal left by crawling down the mountain seconds before Roca arrived with Falcon Dive and Nature Bloom.

"Where's that giant flying scorpion?!" Roca asked, ready for a fight.

"Droplet and Smolder just got it to leave," Volcano informed in response.

"What?!" Falcon Dive asked.

"You should thank Droplet, he came up with the best idea to defeat it." Smolder insisted.

"But we were both needed, Smolder." Droplet nudged her.

"Then we work well together!" Smolder responded.

At the bottom of the mountain, the giant scorpion with wings turned into an extremely envious Ocellus, who lashed out her anger, "I can't believe it! No matter what I did, Smolder and that water dragon just kept getting closer and closer! Like there's nothing that can break them apart!"

Ocellus then overheard the conversation among the creatures from where she stood. Although not being able to see them, she knew whose voice was whose.

"So...what do you think?" Droplet asked.

"Good enough for an emperor!" Sunshine Rays replied.

"Very polite, and clear of mistakes as I scan through..." Volcano added.

"Oh come on, Volcano! You should have known that errors are unavoidable!" Alkali playfully told him.

"But it's best to not make a single one!" Volcano responded, complaining.

"Alright, alright, you to, calm down, please!" Evergreen was heard trying to calm the serious marker and his playful teaching assistant down.

"Well, good luck getting this message to the emperor and empress, Droplet!" Smolder could be heard wishing her new friend good luck, "I'll get word to Dragon Lord Ember as you do so. Hopefully we'll succeed in making peace between our kinds."

"And be together..." Droplet could be heard approaching.

"For the rest of time..." Smolder added, in the same tone as Droplet's.

Ocellus snapped her teeth together in anger as she watched Droplet leapt down into the ocean from the mountain.

"So...what are you going to write to Dragon Lord Ember?" Sandbar could be heard asking.

"Don't worry, I know just what to write!" Smolder insisted.

Underwater, Droplet greeted the Royal Guards guarding the Emperor's Palace.

"Good day, sir's..." Droplet tried his best to greet the protectors of the emperor, "Look, I have a message for his excellency...Emperor Oceanic!" Droplet then showed the stone tablet that had his writing on it, "Can you please make sure that his excellency receives this?"

One of the guards grabbed the stone tablet with his own claws and swam into the palace, with Droplet watching the events unfold.

In the Throne Room, the emperor of the water dragons could be seen sitting on his throne while his wife was entering through the doors.

"Oceanic, one of our subjects sent this message especially for you...and I believe that it's quite....important..." the empress informed, holding the stone tablet with her claws.

"Thanks Mariana, I'll take it from here." Oceanic responded, taking the tablet from his wife using his own claws.

Dear Emperor Oceanic,

I am Droplet Tidal, and I have something important to inform you: Today, I was doing my job exploring the area beyond Dragon Seas to gather material when a strange machine showed up nearby. There were creatures from land in the machine, who helped me when I got stuck in some Unstoppable Underwater Weed. I was surprised that among the creatures that helped me was a fire dragon who freed me from the grasp of the weed with her dragon fire. I learnt from them that fire dragons are currently friendlier, and different from a millennium ago. The fire dragons had became better through the efforts of some very amazing ponies and their dragon assistant, and are now in peace with many other creatures. We can be in peace with them, too, and work together to benefit from one another. So please, help to make it possible for both dragon kinds to be in peace.

Signed, your sincerely,
Droplet Tidal

In the Dragon Lands, an older, larger, slender, Dragon Lord Ember was silent reading a letter she recently got from Smolder. "What?! Water Dragons?!" she could not help but comment.

"Water Dragons?" Garble, who was right beside the dragon lord, overheard and responded by asking.

"Stay here and look after the Dragon Lands. I'm going to see your sister." Ember ordered Garble.

"As you wish, Dragon Lord Ember." Garble saluted, before Ember flew off wit the Gauntlet of Fire in her claws.

Meanwhile, underwater, Droplet nervously waited outside the emperor's palace just before the emperor himself, accompanied by a pair of royal guards, swam to the commoner.

"Droplet Tidal, isn't it?" the emperor asked.

"Yes, your majesty, I am Droplet Tidal." Droplet respectfully bowed before his superior.

"There are a few things that we have to discuss about, one-on-one." the emperor insisted, leading Droplet into the palace throne room.

In the mean time, at Roca's mountain, the creatures were looking at the ocean, waiting for their new friend's return.

"Well, it looks like he didn't have any luck with his superior, we should just give up..." Ocellus insisted.

"Come on, Ocellus! Droplet may not be chosen by his kind's leader to represent his kind at the school unlike us, but I know he can bring good to his kind and ours just like us!" Smolder expressed her faith in her new friend, to Ocellus' annoyance, which every creature was still oblivious about.

"Smolder!" Ember's voice could be heard, causing the creatures to look up into the sky to see the Dragon Lord, accompanied by six adult dragons, showing up.

"Dragon Lord Ember!" Smolder greeted.

"Smolder, I've seen your letter, and you got to be kidding me! Make peace with dragons whom we took freedom away from?! They'll never agree to make peace!" Ember scolded.

"But Dragon Lord Ember, dragons and creatures managed to make peace!" Yona argued.

"That is different! We never forced any of you creatures to conceal yourselves from land and sky!" Ember pointed out.

"But...the hippogriffs did just that!" Silverstream pointed out in response.

"You hid from the Storm King! Not dragons!" Ember reminded.

"Right..." Silverstream speechlessly replied.

"Dragon Lord, it's not impossible! Just take it as making peace with another creature!" Smolder tried to reason with her superior.

"I get it you want peace, we all do. But, do you think that the fire dragons will want that?" Emperor Oceanic asked Droplet.

"Look, my new fire dragon friend have different creatures as her friends! They're all very friendly, especially her! I can feel it; she didn't lie to me about the current Dragon Lord and how dragons are currently like!" Droplet insisted.

"I do wish that you are right about her, but what if it's a facade? You'll never know how sly some creatures can really be." the emperor asked.

"Smolder can't be that kind of trickster! She's really kind and generous! She was willing to spend her time teaching me the most basic things about life on land like the names of the food they have! And the term 'drink' which is swallowing liquid, and..." Droplet began before he was cut off by the emperor.

"Perhaps you should take a few guards with you to visit her again. Try to get to know her better, before we make a big move as meeting with the fire dragon colony."

Six of the royal guards showed up to accompany Droplet for his next out of the water visit. Unknown to him, the emperor secretly handed a small faint-yellow pearl to one of the guards, literally behind his back.

"Dragons used to be enemies with yaks and even hurt yaks, but managed to become friends!" Yona argued with Ember.

"But we never forced you yaks into hiding!" Ember argued back.

"Smolder!" Droplet's voice could be heard, as the water dragon himself flew up to her.

"Droplet! You're back!" Smolder smiled.

Ember was shocked to see a water dragon for the first time in her life. "That is a water dragon?"

"Each water dragon is a unique hybrid of all kinds of different animals." Smolder explained.

"Since our hiding, we never get to fully know our own whole combination," Droplet awkwardly commented.

From beneath the surface, the spying water dragon guards were observed by the emperor through a larger magical pearl that was similar to the smaller one he gave one of the guard earlier, revealing the reason he did so; to observe what was going on between the dragons himself.

"Dragon Lord Ember, is it?" Droplet asked the dragon lord.

"I told him about you..." Smolder quickly filled in.

"I sure am the Dragon Lord, ruler of the Dragon Lands, leader of the fire dragons as the one with the Gauntlet of Fire!" Dragon Lord Ember declared, holding the gauntlet up in the air as she spoke.

"I am Droplet Tidal, but every creature can just call me Droplet." Droplet introduced, "Smolder and I had a great time knowing each other and finding out that fire and water can be similar and get along in some ways."

"Most likely when we make soup together!" Smolder quickly filled in.

"I love the world out of the water, and can't help but wish that all water dragons can visit it, too! And figured that the only way is for water dragons and fire dragons to be in peace!" Droplet stated his point.

"Listen, young adult. Just because you think of things like that doesn't mean all water dragons think things like that!" Ember pointed out.

"True, but don't forget that best and most popular are not the same!" Volcano reminded.

"And isn't peace the best?" Droplet asked.

"Well..." Ember was obviously beginning to agree with him, which Ocellus observed.

"I'm not letting him take away my Best Friend!" the cyan changeling said to herself, before she used her powers to change into a tiny fly behind every creature's backs.

"Droplet is bravely standing up for his kind with the intentions to bring good to them! And not just his kind, other kinds, too! Just like I did! Just like my best friends did when Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy were on the loose!" Smolder reminded, "You listened and we made the right choice to help other creatures and become close friends with them!"

"That was a long time ago!" Ocellus, disguised as a tough adult dragon with a deep voice said, catching every creature's attention, "There's no way any baddie is going to show up to bring us to fight against them together. Plus, everything's going fine without those water dragons around."

Every creature was shocked to hear what Ocellus said in her disguise, while the water dragon guards were offended.

"Excuse me, but you're offending a water dragon right here in front of you!" Smolder scolded.

"Standing up to a water dragon against your own kind? What kind of dragon are you?!" Ocellus asked, causing Smolder to get even angrier.

"Kind doesn't matter! What you will do does!" Smolder shouted.

"Because what you will do is what truly makes you you; it's your personality!" Sunshine Rays added.

"You care about personality? Water Dragons do that too! A lot!" Droplet could not help but comment.

"I don't remember bringing you with me! Where'd you come from?!" Ember asked the disguised Ocellus.

"Does that matter?!" Ocellus asked in response.

"Why you..." Ember huffed, her face turning red and expressing a desire to fight.

"Now, Dragon Lord Ember....please calm down..." Evergreen tried to reason with the angry dragon lord as Smolder and Volcano used their claws in their attempt to restrain her(Ember).

"Let go of me!" Ember ordered, facing the dragons who held onto her, causing the six dragons she brought as company to completely focus on them instead of the disguised Ocellus, who snuck off to a lower part of the mountain to generate a smoke cloud to hide herself in before transforming into a chameleon ad camouflage herself.

"Violence is never the best! Peace and reasoning are!" Luster tried to remind the angry dragon lord.

"See?! I knew it! Fire dragons are violent, and they always are! They're never friends!" Ocellus, disguised as an adult male water dragon complete with an adult male's voice said out loud, revealing her position on the water's surface, watching everything.

"What?!" Droplet asked in disbelief, sounding hurt.

"Come on, stop being with those revolting fire-breathing beasts and go home, fellow water dragon!" Ocellus continued in her disguise.

"Revolting fire-breathing beasts?!" Ember angrily asked, facing the disguised Ocellus.

Smolder quickly noticed that one of the other fire dragons that accompanied Ember was heading towards Droplet in an attempt to confront him.

"Droplet, go!" Smolder quickly swung Droplet around, tossing him into the ocean in an attempt to shield him from her own kind.

"Smolder, no!" Droplet cried, as he fell into the water.

"Droplet Tidal," the guard whom the emperor gave the pearl to earlier approached Droplet, "Let's go back to the emperor. See what his excellency has to say about this."

"But...." Droplet cried.

"No 'buts'. Let's go." the guard insisted.

"And you, what was with you back there?! Insulting the fire dragons with such a terrible adjective!?" another guard asked the disguised Ocellus, not knowing that she really was not one of their kind.

"Doesn't matter..." she arrogantly responded, before transforming into a micro-organism, which was undetectable to the water dragons.

"Where did he go?!" the guards asked in confusion.

Back on Roca's Mountain...

"This must be a misunderstanding!" Smolder cried.

"You saw and heard what that water dragon was like!" Ember fiercely argued.

"You can't judge their whole kind just by one of their individuals!" Smolder argued back.

"That water dragon can lead to disharmony between the dragons in less than one minute! Imagine if we signed a peace treaty and then that happens!" Ember continued her side of the argument.

"But..." Smolder began.

"No 'buts'! Your time here is over, young adult!" Ember declared, grabbing Smolder by her arm and dragging her(Smolder) with her(Ember), followed by the six adult dragons company as they flew to the direction of the Dragon Lands.

The rest of the creatures on the mountain speechlessly watched the events unfold.

"Please tell me that that never happened..." Nature Bloom spoke up.

2. Fall of Friendship, Part Two

View Online

Previously on My Little Pony...

"What about a little chance to explore the world outside your mountain?" Discord asked Roca, as the scene zoomed out to show the big, wide ocean surrounding the Stone Mountain of Nothingness.

Discord drove the submarine down to the daisy seafloor, passing by all the marine plants and animals, which amazed the submarine riders.

"Wow," Gallus gasped.

"Underwater is so cool!" Smolder cheered.

"There's a strange creature!" Smolder shouted, pointing a claw at the submarine's front window.

When the creature got stuck in underwater unstoppable weed...

"It is called Unstoppable Underwater Weed." Nature Bloom informed, "It got its name from the fact that once it catches a creature, it will forever stick onto the said creature unless dragon fire burns the plant, causing it to wither and fall off."

"Why can't all fire dragons and water dragons work well together, too?" Droplet voiced his thoughts out.

"You mean you... want fire dragons and water dragons to be friends?" Smolder asked.

"I'm not letting him take away my Best Friend!" Ocellus said to herself, before she used her powers to change into a tiny fly behind every creature's backs.

"Everything's going fine without those water dragons around." Ocellus, disguised as a fire dragon said.

"See?! I knew it! Fire dragons are violent, and they always are! They're never friends!" Ocellus, disguised as an adult male water dragon complete with an adult male's voice said out loud, revealing her position on the water's surface, watching everything.

"Droplet, go!" Smolder quickly swung Droplet around, tossing him into the ocean in an attempt to shield him from her own kind.

"That water dragon can lead to disharmony between the dragons in less than one minute! Imagine if we signed a peace treaty and then that happens!" Ember continued her side of the argument.

After the series' theme song played, the creatures on Roca's mountain could still barely believe what just happened.

"That never happened?" Yellow Bright asked.

"Every creature, this is terrible!" Buffer commented.

"Krona knows!" Krona agreed.

"Poor Droplet and Smolder, all they wanted was their kinds to be in peace!" Silverstream lamented.

"And not at war!" Sunshine Rays added.

"Are you sure it's war? Both the fire dragons and the water dragons just left each other. In other words, abandoned each other." Volcano pointed out.

"And Smolder is taken to the Dragon Lands!" Sandbar reminded.

"Friends got to get her back!" Yona declared.

"Don't worry every creature! I'm sure we'll get Smolder back!" Ocellus, in her regular form assured.

"Ocellus?! Where were you?!" Gallus asked.

"What do you mean, where was I?" Ocellus asked, somewhat nervously.

"Where were you when Smolder and Dragon Lord Ember argued?" Evergreen asked.

"Well...I was behind all of you so you didn't see me..." Ocellus replied, trying to hide the truth.

"And where were you when Smolder confronted that dragon with the deep voice who offended the water dragons?" Falcon Dive added, suspecting something.

"Behind your backs!" Ocellus answered.

"And where were you when that water dragon offended the fire dragons?!" Alkali ended.

"Also behind your backs!" Ocellus answered.

"Ocellus, you are Smolder's Best Friend!" Luster began, "You should be standing up on her side like she did with Droplet!"

"Unless of course, she's about to do something wrong!" Sunshine Rays pointed out, "Real friends prevent you from doing what's wrong."

"Thanks, for the reminder, Sunshine." Luster thanked before turning to Ocellus while expressing concern towards the changeling, "Ocellus, I'm not offending you, but please, explain why you were sitting at the back and not saying a single word when the worst was happening?! Is it because you were scared?!"

In order to hide the truth, Ocellus lied, "Yes...Luster...I don't know what got into me...I was too scared to help my Best Friend all of a sudden! At such a time like this! I don't know why I just lost my courage when this happened!"

"Sometimes we experience this sort of thing. There's no way any creature can maintain the same one personality throughout their whole lives or for one whole month..." Sunshine Rays began.

"Thanks for the information Sunshine, but right now, we got to help Smolder!" Luster declared.

"You did realise you stopped calling her professor, did you?" Nature Bloom asked.

"Whoops, sorry....professors..." Luster apologised.

"It's alright, we're not your teachers anymore! We're all friends like friends!" Silverstream assured.

"So...this means..." Buffer asked.

"Yes, you can just refer us by our names, just like every creature else!" Silversteam declared.

"But you're older than us, we should be more respectful to you!" Nature Bloom pointed out.

"Or maybe with or without the 'professor' term, anything you like!" Silverstream suggested.

"Back to the main focus; we got to help Smolder!" Sandbar replied.

"She's our dragon pal!" Yona agreed.

"Indeed." Luster nodded with a determined look, before asking Discord, "Discord, will you please teleport us all to the Dragon Lands?"

"All but me, I got to stay here no my mountain." Roca noted, "Plus, I can keep a lookout in case Droplet or any water dragon comes back."

"Thanks, Roca." Luster thanked.

At the Water Dragon Palace, in the throne room...

"Droplet Tidal, I've been aware with all that happened between the dragons recently..." Emperor Oceanic began a one-on-one conversation with Droplet.

"I am so sorry...Emperor Oceanic..." Droplet sadly hung his head in front of the emperor.

"But I also saw you were right about your friend Smolder, she isn't a trickster. She defended you from her own kind when you were at their mercy." the emperor pointed out.

"She's wonderful, isn't she?" Droplet asked, before shaking his head, "I mean, she's a wonderful friend, isn't she?"

"She has good personality, just like how we are meant to have...I also can't believe how a strange water dragon figure would go against our moral and ethics teachings by offending the fire dragons like that."

"I cannot believe it, neither. Especially when that weird water dragon disappeared like magic in front of the guards!" Droplet added.

"There is something very fishy about him...but one thing's for sure, he really sabotaged the possible friendship between fire dragons and water dragons." Emperor Oceanic stated.

"I know...it's very obvious..." Droplet sighed.

"I am so sorry Droplet, but I am afraid that you can't see your friend again." the emperor declared, causing Droplet to gasp.

"You'd risk your life for nothing. We only risk our lives when it's worth it." the emperor explained, "Like saving the lives of others."

"But..." Droplet tried to argue, but was cut off by the emperor.

"The fire dragons will now detest us more than ever. We better not only stay underwater...but also set up defences in case they have more machines to take them beneath the waves."

"But we want peace, not war!" Droplet insisted.

"I know, but unfortunately, we got to take such precautions, especially with the current situation. I understand your good intentions, but sometimes, they sadly can't be achieved..." the emperor replied.

In the Dragon Lands, Garble was watching over from the Dragon Lord's Rock, just before Discord and the creatures arrived.

"Heroic Ten, and my little sister's friends and the Lord of Chaos?" Garble asked.

"Dragon Lod Consort Garble, are Dragon Lord Ember and Smolder back yet?" Luster asked.

"No, and what do you mean 'and Smolder'? Isn't she living in Ponyville?" Garble asked.

"It is a pretty long story..." Krona responded.

"Smolder, I don't care how long it's going to take, but you got to forget about your water dragon friend!" Ember declared.

"His name is Droplet! And he's a great friend!" Smolder argued.

"If you keep on talking about him, you are not returning to Ponyville!" Ember insisted.

"What?! But I am the Loyalty Teacher at the School of Friendship in Ponyville!" Smolder complained.

"Isn't there a pony with wings but can't fly able to take your place when you are not available?" Ember asked.

"That's Scootaloo, she's a pegasus who can't fly, but she's usually the extra Friendship Teacher!" Smolder clarified.

"She won't be an extra once you're not returning until you do!" Ember declared.

"You can't do this because of what happened!" Smolder confronted.

"It's for the greater good! If it's the only way to get you to put the water dragons aside completely!" Ember insisted, as they landed on the Dragon Lord's Rock, which used to be her father's throne for sitting on.

"Smolder!" Ocellus happily cried running towards her Best Friend.

"Hi Ocellus," Smolder greeted in a gloomy matter.

"What is wrong, BFF?" Ocellus asked in a concerned tone.

"I...miss Droplet...and lost the chances of making peace between his kind and mine..." Smolder sadly said.

"And until she completely gets over with those dragons, she's staying here in the Dragon Lands, not to return to Ponyville!" Ember declared.

"What?!" Smolder's friends all asked in shock.

"But, Dragon Lord Ember, Smolder has to come back to Ponyville! Not only is she our friend, she's the School of Friendsip's Loyalty Teacher!" Ocellus cried.

"She can be replaced!" Ember plainly insisted.

"This kind of treatment to force her to get over with something is simply..." Falcon Dive was about to say something nasty, but was prevented by Nature Bloom filling in for him.

"Really not cool."

"Come on, Smolder! It's just getting over a new friend you just met and spent time with in merely one day!" Ocellus cheered, trying to persuade Smolder to forget about Droplet.

"Droplet and I may have just met, but I felt like I knew him forever..." Smolder sighed, "He's just curious about our world, asking about everything. He's also brave to be the only one of his kind to trust us, and most especially me despite what my ancestors did to his, and even told me about it. And most of all, he's selfless as he could have been happy being the only water dragon to be out of the water, but he wanted all water dragons to get the same thing, and was willing to make a stand to earn it for them. He's amazing..."

"See? That's exactly what I meant!" Ember showed every creature Smolder's current situation, "She can't stop thinking about that water dragon this way! She has to stop now that we don't want anything to do with those so-called good dragons who wanted peace!"

"Unless I'm daydreaming, I'd say she loves that water dragon she described!" Garble commented.

Smolder snapped out of her thoughts upon hearing what her brother just said.

"Don't worry sis, I'll just let you be you!" Garble quickly responded.

"But she must forget or at least get over with that water dragon!" Ember argued with her husband.

"As you said, gemstone..." Garble sighed.

"Don't worry, I'm sure some BFF time will get her to get over that dragon!" Ocellus assured, hugging Smolder.

In the underwater kingdom of Dragon Seas, Droplet sadly swam home to lie down on his bed, which was a rock covered with seaweed. He sadly looked at the two coconuts he had brought home earlier, the very coconuts he and Smolder had together, which he placed on top of his cabinet of treasures.

"Oh, Smolder...I know we just met...but you are like a friend I've had forever...I miss you so much..."

"We can play Tag and Seek! Or, bowling our style! Or, dodge rock!" Ocellus suggested, trying to cheer a walking with her head down Smolder up.

"It's not like those games can settle things between the dragons." Smolder sadly said.

"Or maybe we can play Laugh out Loud with jokes!" Ocellus continued.

"Thanks for trying to cheer me up Ocellus, you're a great BFF..." Smolder thanked, unaware of the fact that Ocellus was the one reason the water dragons and fire dragons did not get along this time.

"But I still can never forget about Droplet...I just wish I could see him...one last time...know how he's doing with all that just happened..." Smolder sadly said.

Seeing her Best Friend so depressed made Ocellus feel guiltier than ever for her actions, to the point that she could no longer take it, "Smolder...I...I..." she cracked, "I am the one reason you and Droplet can't be together!"

"What?!" Smolder asked in shock.

"You two had everything going well, and I ruined everything!" Ocellus cried.

"What do you mean?" Smolder asked.

"I sabotaged the possible friendship between fire and water dragons! It was me!" Ocellus continued.

"What are you saying? It's not like you were the strange fire dragon whom Ember doesn't remember bringing with her." Smolder stated.

"Actually...that was a disguise..." Ocellus admitted.

"So you were also the water dragon who called the fire dragons revolting fire-breathing beasts?" Smolder asked, expressing suspicions.

Ocellus gulped and nervously giggled, "Well..."

That response was enough to confirm Smolder's suspicions, as she angrily confronted her Best Friend, "Ocellus, what did you do?!"

"I disguised myself as that fire dragon and water dragon who said those nasty things..." Ocellus confessed.

"What?! Why?!" Smolder asked.

"You and Droplet were getting so close just on the very first day you met! I was afraid that you're going to stop spending time with me and forget about me! Your BFF!" Ocellus dramatically cried.

"You mean you sabotaged the fire and water dragons' relationship just so you can keep me and Droplet away from each other so you can spend time with me?!" Smolder asked in an even more furious tone.

"Yes...I am so sorry, Smolder!" Ocellus cried and apologised.

"What you did is literally unforgivable!" Smolder scolded.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't know what I was thinking!" Ocellus apologised.

"You know what I'm thinking? It turns out that I never knew you; you are no BFF!" Smolder harshly scolded, "If you were a real BFF, you'd never try to keep me away from some creature that is alright for me to love!"

"But you and Droplet just met!" Ocellus pointed out.

"He's not like you! I don't see any reason to be related to you!" Smolder scolded.

"What?!" Ocellus cried.

"I hereby disown you!" Smolder declared, before angrily storming off with a march.

"Where are you going? Smolder?!" Ocellus asked, but got no reply.

"What have I done?" she asked herself, full of remorse.

"Smolder! What's wrong?" Silverstream asked, noticing her friend's angry expressions as the dragon stormed pass the other Young Six members, and the Heroic Ten members.

"Long story, and you're not going to like it." Smolder answered.

"What is the story?" Gallus asked.

"Some creature whom I thought was my BFF turned out to never have been my BFF all along!" Smolder indirectly mentioned Ocellus.

"Ocellus?!" the rest of the Young Six asked in shock.

"What does Smolder mean?!" Yona asked.

"She's the one who sabotaged the relationship between fire dragons and water dragons by disguising herself as those dragons who insulted the other kind!" Smolder explained.

"What?! Are you sure it's Ocellus?" Sandbar asked.

"She'd never do that!" Silverstream stood up.

"That's what I thought, but she admitted it out of feeling guilty. She said she only did it so she can spend time with me, by separating me and Droplet through causing tensions between the dragon kinds." Smolder explained.

"What?! I can't believe it!" Gallus cried.

"That is a serious crime!" Sunshine Rays commented.

"Causing disharmony between different races?" Evergreen asked.

"That can lead to war!" Buffer ended.

"What should creatures do?" Krona asked.

"Now that we all know the truth, should we tell the dragon lord?" Luster suggested.

"But, what about Professor Ocellus?!" Nature Bloom asked in concern.

"Maybe you should call her 'so-called Professor Ocellus', for what she's just done!" Falcon Dive commented.

"But she has a reason!" Volcano pointed out.

"Whose side are you on?!" Sunshine Rays angrily asked.

"On every side like a Historian." Volcano answered, "Got to think of all sides and not choose to focus on any one side."

"I'm sorry Sunshine, but I think we got to help Ocellus..." Nature Bloom stood up.

"What?!" Sunshine Rays asked.

"Make amends for what she's done, that is." Nature Bloom quickly finished.

"Nature is right, Sunshine. Ocellus better make up for her mistake! That's the only way to redeem herself!" Luster declared, "So please, go with Nature Bloom, find Ocellus and help her make amends!"

"Come on Sunshine, you must know what the right thing to do is, right?" Nature Bloom asked.

"Alright, I'll help Ocellus." Sunshine Rays agreed, "Just to help her make up for her wrongdoing!"

Sunshine Rays and Nature Bloom then took off, leaving the rest of their friends.

"So, what about the rest of us?" Alkali asked.

"We got to do the best we can, stop the tensions between the dragon kinds and form peace between them." Luster announced.

"Easier said than done." Volcano commented.

"So what's step one?" Yellow Bright asked.

"Probably talk to the Fire Dragon Leaders because they're easier to approach from our perspectives." Luster figured.

"And they are just around the corner." Falcon Dive added.

"Ocellus?! Has any creature here seen Ocellus?!" Sunshine Rays called, while flying through the skies alongside Nature Bloom.

"We just want to help her!" Nature Bloom assured.

"With making up for something she did..." Sunshine Rays ended, causing Nature Bloom to stare at her with an annoyed look.

"Sunshine! Professor Ocellus must be feeling very guilty! Can you please try to be nicer to her in situations like this?!" the green-turquoise changeling asked.

"I am so sorry, Nature, but you know how much I don't like vices and wrongdoings! Plus, disguising herself as the opposite-sex?! That is so not right!" Sunshine Rays insisted.

"I know, Sunshine, but you should have known better that hatred is not good, even if it's hatred towards bad things that aren't good!" Nature Bloom pointed out.

"Sorry, I just have no control over these things bothering me so much, hopefully one day it'll be more I mean less...intense..." Sunshine Rays responded.

"Right now, let's just focus on finding Professor Ocellus, shall we?" Nature Bloom asked.

"Sure, I can use a little scavenger hunt after all my writing!" Sunshine Rays insisted.

Unbeknownst to every creature, Ocellus had disguised herself as a rock, feeling so guilty for what she recently did.

Unfortunately for her, every creature thinking she was a rock was not really completely good news as just after Sunshine Rays and Nature Bloom flew pass, Lava and two female dragons who share her age approached the rock-disguised Ocellus.

"Come on girls! Who's up for some lava surfing?!" Lava asked.

"We all are!" one of the dragons agreed, as they took the disguised Ocellus with them in their claws.

"Lava surfing?!" Ocellus asked herself.

"Did this rock just talk?" the other young female dragon asked.

"You probably must be hearing things, Pyre." Lava replied.

"Hearth, what do you think?" Pyre then turned to her other Best Friend.

"A talking rock? I find that hard to believe." Hearth honestly replied.

"Then, I must be hearing things.." Pyre gave in, as she helped her friends carry the rock-disguised changeling to the nearest lava stream, to Ocellus' horror.

"Ready? Three, two..." Lava began the countdown, but before she and her friends could throw Ocellus the rock into the lava stream, the terrified Ocellus changed back into a changeling and flew off with a yelp.

"Professor Ocellus?!" the three preteen female fire dragons asked in unison.

"Professor Ocellus?!" Nature Bloom and Sunshine Rays gasped, as they finally saw who they were looking for.

"What were you doing as that rock?!" Pyre asked.

"And isn't that against the changelings' rule of using powers only for a job, a play, or an emergency?" Hearth asked.

"It is! And it's a wrongdoing!" Sunshine Rays declared, showing up with Nature Bloom.

"Miss Sunshine Rays and Miss Nature Bloom?!" Lava's friends asked in unison.

"Don't get too excited, they are my older brother's best friends." Lava reminded.

"But they are famous heroes of Equestria and Beyond!" Hearth pointed out.

"But we still prefer to be treated like regular creatures," Sunshine Rays insisted.

"We're really sorry we can't spend more time with you, because we got some work to do today." Nature Bloom apologised.

"Now Professor Ocellus, I believe that we got some serious things to talk about...." Sunshine Rays began, only to notice the absence of the cyan changeling.

"She was here a second ago!" Nature Bloom cried.

"We can help you find her if you'd like." Lava offered.

"Thank you so much Lava, but don't forget, to leave things to us afterwards." Sunshine Rays thanked.

"Gar-gar! Gar-gar!" Smolder called her older brother.

"What is it, little sis?" Garble asked.

"I need your help!" Smolder began.

"Sure, anything for you!" Garble replied.

"Get me to talk to Dragon Lord Ember." Smolder ordered.

"What?" Garble asked.

"What?!" Ember asked as a response to hearing the story from the creatures.

"It really wasn't a fire dragon and a water dragon individual, it was Ocellus!" Volcano explained.

"She lost her moral compass today, because she was so blinded by her worries of losing her time with Smolder since Droplet became a friend." Luster added.

"She's most likely jealous of Droplet, and jealousy can make any creature do such crazy things!" Alkali contributed.

"Talk about it," Volcano responded, remembering the time when he was jealous of Alkali.

"The main point is, the real problem really wasn't between the two dragon kinds!" Yellow Bright pointed out.

"And don't worry, Sunshine Rays and Nature Bloom are handling Ocellus right now." Evergreen assured.

"So you are saying?" Ember asked.

"Try again. Try to make peace with the water dragons!" Later declared.

"Just like what Solder and Droplet wanted!" Krona added.

"But, even if I wanted to, how will we get peace if we can't even get word to the water dragons?! About who sabotaging our relationship?" Ember asked.

"Ocellus, Smolder's Best Friend!" Falcon Dive clarified.

"Only because she's jealous of Droplet and wanted to keep him and Smolder apart!" Buffer reminded.

"Allow me to think about this..." Ember suggested.

"Take your time," Luster replied, before turning to her remaining best friends, "Alkali, Evergreen, Yellow Bright and Buffer, you four are coming with me. We're going back to Roca's mountain with the aid of Discord!"

"Did some creature say 'Discord'?" the said draconequus asked, appearing right in front of them.

"Right on time, Discord." Luster smiled.

"But what about Krona, Falcon Dive and I?" Volcano asked.

"You three stay here with the fire dragons, we'll be back, soon." Luster assured, before Discord teleported her and the others, and himself, away.

At Roca's mountain, the owner of the mountain itself was looking at the ocean, just before she heard the sound of teleportation. She turned around and saw some of her friends.

"Luster! You're back!" she greeted.

"Did Droplet come back?" Luster asked.

"No, all has been quiet ever since you were gone." Roca reported.

"We got a word to send to him," Luster declared, before turning to Alkali.

"I am ready when you are Luster!" Alkali saluted.

"Every creature, stay and wait here, Alkali and I will be back soon. Hopefully with Droplet." Luster instructed.

"We sure heard that!" Buffer responded.

"Good luck on your quest!" Evergreen wished.

"Stay positive!" Yellow Bright chirped.

Luster hopped onto Alkali's back, ready for another ride, but before they could move...

"Are you sure you don't need my assistance?" Discord asked, offering Luster a scuba diver's gear.

"No thanks Discord, Alkali and I got this." Luster smiled, before Alkali took her down into the ocean, transforming them both into sea ponies upon touching the ocean's water. Despite the transformation, their sizes remained constant.

"Hold on Luster, underwater and air are very different when you compare." Alkali rhymed.

"They sure are. The water particles are a lot closer together compared to the particles of air. And water is heavier than air, and denser than air as density is mass divide by volume. More mass, more density..." Luster began explaining.

"You sure you're not Volcano's twin sister?" Alkali joked.

"Sorry...just can't help but say those..." Luster giggled., while still riding on Alkali's back.

"Ocellus!" Sandbar shouted, walking around the Dragon Lands.

"Ocellus!" Yona yelled.

"Ocellus!" Silversream squawked.

"Ocellus!" Gallus called, flying around.

"Where can she have gone?" Nature Bloom asked in a worried tone.

"She's probably feeling guiltier than ever..." Sunshine Rays figured, "Probably hid herself from every creature and everything, just like any creature who feels such guilt will like to do..."

"If we want to find her, we got to think like her! If we ever felt so guilty, where will we hide?" Gallus asked.

After a while of thinking, Yona raised her front right hoof, "Oh! Yona knows! Yona knows!"

Meanwhile, with Garble and Smolder...

"Are you sure you want to straight away criticise your own Best Friend and hand her over to the Dragon Lord?" Garble asked his sister.

"She was never my best friend...I never really knew her..." Smolder declared, with her head hung down.

"I wasn't best friends with Dragon Lord Ember to begin with, and all we know about each other was the outside...but when the dragon eggs really needed me, we started to know about each other on the inside..." Garble reminded.

"I know Gar-gar, but that's so different! I became friends with Ocellus ages ago! Remained friends until...today..." Smolder sadly slowed down.

"You really love your new friend over her?" Garble asked.

"I don't want anything to do with her now..." Smolder declared, expressing how much she disowned Ocellus.

"So you're just going to tell Dragon Lord Ember that..." Garble began, only to be cut off by his sister.

"The fire dragons and water dragons can be friends! The only thing that got between them is some creature that I now disown..."

Meanwhile, underwater...

"Do you think we're close to finding him?" Alkali asked.

"I don't know...I've never been to Dragon Seas...we met Droplet outside the were dragon empire!" Luster explained, "He must have a job to do beyond his home's borders!"

Alkali suddenly halted and stopped in her tracks, as a water dragon guard stood in front of them!

"Halt! Who goes there?!" the guard asked, raising a spear at them.

"We're friends of Droplet, a water dragon who lives somewhere in these waters, and we're looking for him..." Luster explained, but was ignored by the guard.

"Just go back where you came from!" the guard pointed the spear at Alkali's chest, to her discomfort.

"Alright, alright, we're leaving!" Luster responded, signalling Alkali to swim away, in the inverse direction of the one they just travelled in.

"Leaving?" Alkali whispered.

"Don't worry, I've got a plan." Luster whispered into Alkali's ear.

At the Young Six's Treehouse, which was the Tree of Harmony grown into a treehouse for the creatures, Ocellus curled herself like an animal during winter.

Just then, Nature Bloom, in the form of a huge dragon, carrying Yona and Sandbar on her back, landed right beside the treehouse alongside Sunshine Rays, Silverstream and Gallus. Once the yak and earth pony came off her back, Nature Bloom changed back into her regular form.

"I just hope that really was an emergency." Sunshine Rays remarked.

"Since we are in a hurry, I'd say it is." Gallus figured.

Silverstream opened the door to the treehouse and let every creature in.

"Ocellus?" the creatures asked as they entered.

Ocellus quickly turned into a rock as the door opened.

"Ocellus," Sunshine Rays sighed, "We're here to help you."

"Help you fix things," Nature Bloom added.

"What I did was literally unforgivable, just like what Smolder said..." Ocellus sadly said, changing back to her regular form.

"She only said that because she was too angry at that moment." Nature Bloom assured.

"Any creature can say that when they feel such emotions." Sunshine Rays added.

"But she actually has a point! What I did was so wrong! So bad! So...extreme!" Ocellus cried.

"You just lost your moral compass because of your emotions," Nature Bloom informed, understandably.

"Droplet is right for Smolder...I never should have existed! I am no BFF! Just like what Smolder said!" Ocellus sobbed.

"Ocellus, it is time to put all of this aside! You just got to continue down the path, make the right choices, and make up for it. Blaming yourself for what happened does not change a thing. Learning from the mistake, not making the same one, and fixing it, does change things around, plus, make up for it!" Sunshine Rays encouraged.

"Wow Sunshine, for once, you never really got so angry or insane!" Silverstream commented, causing every creature to stare at her speechlessly.

"What?! Sunshine is known for going insane over wrongdoings and anything not good!" Silverstream reminded.

"I really won't say that if I were you, Silverstream..." Sandbar pointed a hoof at Sunshine was, reminding Silverstram of the pegasus' presence.

"I am so sorry, Sunshine..." Silverstream apologised.

"Don't worry, this time, I got it covered." Sunshine Rays assured.

"But not everything's covered. How can Professor Ocellus ever make up for such a misdeed?!" Nature Bloom asked Sunshine Rays.

"Well...I do have something in mind..." Sunshine Rays replied.

"What is it?!" Ocellus asked.

"But unfortunately, I believe that all I can do is give a clue, let Ocellus figure out the rest. If I told her everything, she won't learn the moral compass of her own." Sunshine Rays informed.

"Then what is the clue?!" Ocellus cried.

"To make up for this huge misdeed, you must show every creature whom you affected that you recognise your wrongdoing as something wrong, and show that you do want to make up for it!" Sunshine Rays explained, "That is all I can tell you! You got to spread your wings from here."

"Sunshine!" Nature Bloom complained.

"Teachers are meant to guide others, not spoon-feed them." Sunshine Rays reminded.

"Actually, thanks Sunshine Rays! I know what to do!" Ocellus thanked, as she got an idea, rushing off.

"Where are you going?!" Sandbar asked.

"To fix my mistake!" Ocellus declared.

"We're coming with you!" Gallus announced.

"No! I mean...please do! But just stand by!" Ocellus told the others.

"Stand by?" Yona asked.

"That means be ready to deal or assist with something or be present while something bad is happening but fail to take any action to stop it." Sunshine Rays defined.

"Thanks, Sunshine, for a second you're like Volcano." Silverstream commented.

"Sure Luster, Volcano and I are a lot alike as intelligent leaders, but don't forget that we're still different individuals." Sunshine Rays reminded.

"Can you please focus on the situation?" Nature Bloom politely asked, as they followed a majority of the Young Six.

In Dragon Seas, Luster and Alkali carefully swam pass the water dragons and marine creatures, as Luster kept the invisibility spell she casted active, so she and Alkali could find Droplet without being detected.

"Finding Droplet will be like finding a needle in a haystack, only we'll be finding a water dragon in an underwater empire!" Alkali complained.

"You are right, it is going to take too long trying to find Droplet, especially when he won't be able to find us!" Luster agreed.

"So what should we do?" Alkali asked.

"Get ready Alkali, this plan can be very risky and complicated." Luster warned.

"If it's the only way..." Alkali gulped.

Luster then purposely turned off the invisibility spell, causing the water dragon guards to know where they were.

"Get them!" one of he guards shouted.

"Just dodge them, Alkali!" Luster instructed.

Alkali did as told, zig-zagging, twisting and curving as she attempted to swim away from the guards.

"This is your plan?!" Alkali asked.

"Trust me! This way, Droplet will know where we are and come to us!" Luster whispered into Alkali's ear.

"I just hope that he finds us before we're all doomed..." Alkali whimpered.

"Dragon Lord Ember..." Smolder began, as she and her brother approached the dragon lord.

"Your friends already told me about the situation, I'm still thinking of what we should do." Ember insisted.

"Please, don't do anything to the water dragons unless it's making peace and befriending them!" Smolder pleaded.

"We don't want any more enemies, but how will we ever get them to understand?" Ember asked.

"Understand what? The truth about what happened?" Smolder asked.

"Yes, that truth..." Ember sighed, "The one involving your Best Friend."

Smolder was silent for a while, before she spoke up, "She is not my Best Friend, anymore..."

In his home, Droplet gloomily ate his meal, which was sea grass just like most of the time given he had lots of sea grass in his garden for eating. Suddenly, he heard some commotion as a guard shouted, "?Halt in the name of the emperor!"

Rushing out of his house, Droplet quickly witnessed Alkali and Luster being chased by guards.

"Alkali?! Luster?!" Droplet asked, before quickly swimming to their side.

"I don't know how much longer I can keep this up!" Alkali cried.

"One thing for sure, I just hope Sunshine never finds out about this..." Luster commented in response.

"What are you two doing here? In these forms?" Droplet asked, catching up as he swam right beside them.

"Droplet! We found you!" Luster gladly said.

"More like you found us!" Alkali added.

"I'll explain later!" Luster announced, before teleporting all three of them back onto Roca's mountain, and turning her and Alkali back into a unicorn and hippogriff respectively.

"You made it!" Yellow Bright cheered.

"It really was risky..." Alkali commented.

"I'm so sorry, but we can't spend too much time!" Luster apologised.

"You did spend a lot of time; one whole hour and forty-nine minutes and fifty-three seconds to be exact!" Discord commented, showing them a stopwatch.

"You sound a lot like...a friend of mine..." Luster commented, indirectly mentioning Xian Zhe, who helped her at times while remaining a secret from the public due to his kind's customs.

"Sorry to change the topic, a bit...but, why would you want to bring me here?" Droplet asked.

"We have something important to tell you." Luster responded.

"You know, about what recently happened between the fire dragons and water dragons." Buffer added.

"Oh that? Emperor Oceanic already told me to forget about it, water dragons just have to be more on guard." Droplet replied.

"I see that he doesn't want a fight, neither do we, nor the fire dragons as they just...went home..." Buffer informed.

"And Smolder?" Droplet asked.

"Dragon Lord Ember decided to keep her in the Dragon Lands until she gets over with you." Yellow Bright informed.

Droplet gasped to learn about what happened to the fire dragon he loved, but sadly accepted, "Just let that happen...it's not like fire dragons and water dragons can be friends now..."

"Droplet, they still can be friends, because it really wasn't one of them who sabotaged their possible friendship by causing those tensions!" Luster informed.

"What?!" Droplet asked in shock.

"It is a very crazy long story..." Alkali nervously added.

"But to summarise it; Ocellus, Smolder's Best Friend was jealous of you spending so much time with Smolder on the very first day you two met, so she decided to separate you by causing tensions between your kinds! She disguised herself as that fire dragon who insulted the water dragons, and then, disguised herself as the water dragon who insulted the fire dragons! So it really wasn't your kinds causing the tensions!" Luster explained.

"What?! Smolder's Best Friend, jealous of me?!" Droplet asked.

"We are really sorry about that...she just could not help herself back there..." Evergreen emphasised.

"So you are saying?" Droplet asked.

"There is still a chance to create peace between the two dragon kinds!" Luster pointed out, "Tell the water dragon emperor! Please!"

"After what happened with the guards, you think he'll listen to me?" Droplet asked.

"I heard he's a great emperor from what you said about him!" Buffer assured, "The kind that treats his subjects like his own children!"

Droplet smiled to hear what Buffer said.

"Smolder disown Ocellus?!" Krona asked in shock.

"Disown means refuse to acknowledge or maintain any connection with!" Volcano defined.

"So that means..." Falcon Dive began, before being cut off.

"I refuse to have something to do with Ocellus!" Smolder declared.

"Every fire dragon!" Ocellus' voice could be heard, as the cyan changeling herself shouted through a megaphone from high above the Dragon Lands, "Please follow me! I need you all to hear something!"

"Ocellus?!" the three Heroic Ten members present in the Dragon Lands asked in unison.

"I don't see any reason to follow her!" Smolder arrogantly huffed, with her eyes closed as she turned to face away from Ocellus.

Ocellus, noticing Smolder, could not help but feel guilty, but still continued her speech, "Please! I got a huge apology to make! And the only reason I need you all to follow me just for this once is to hear the apology alongside some other creatures who too, need to hear it!"

This time, Smolder opened her eyes, and speechlessly decided to fly up and follow Ocellus, encouraging all the other dragons to do the same.

"What about Krona?!" Krona cried, causing Falcon Dive and Volcano to turn back for her.

"Sorry...we kind of forgot..." Falcon Dive nervously replied, before trying to help Volcano carry Kron.

"You're too...hefty!" Volcano commented.

"I thought she was too heavy!" Falcon Dive commented.

"Hefty means large and heavy!" Volcano defined while still struggling to lift Krona.

"Need an extra claw from a big strong dragon?" Garble asked, lifting Krona from the bottom.

"Thank you for the help, Dragon Lord Consort Garble!" all three Heroic Ten members in the situation thanked Garble.

"Big brother Volcano!" Lava called, as she and her best dragon friends Pyre and Hearth showed up flying beside them.

"Lava!" Volcano happily greeted,d "Great to see you again, little sister!"

"Mr Volcano? Mr Falcon Dive and Miss Krona?!" Pyre asked.

"We are so glad that we're meeting you all!" Hearth added.

"What about me?!" Garble asked.

"And you too, Dragon Lord Consort Garble," Pyre and Hearth greeted in unison, as they bowed alongside Lava.

"That's more I like it," Garble commented.

"Are you only excited to meet us because we're famous?!" Falcon Dive asked in a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Yes, it's because you are famous heroes who saved us..." the girls admitted.

"Should have known," Falcon Dive plainly responded.

Underwater at the center of the empire of Dragon Seas, inside the palace's throne room...

"Smolder's Best Friend was jealous of me for spending so much time with her! I'm really sorry I made her jealous to the point that she'd cause tensions between us and the fire dragons just to keep me and Smolder apart!" Droplet apologised to the emperor.

"Droplet, I know you're upset about not getting to see your fire dragon friend, but seriously, you can't pin the blame on some creature else!" Emperor Oceanic informed.

"I'm not lying! Smolder's friends told me this! Plus, Ocellus is a changeling! She does have the power to disguise herself as some other creature! And it makes sense that that weird water dragon was her! She must have transformed into something invisible to avoid being captured!" Droplet argued.

"I know but just because some creature can do something doesn't mean they will or should," the emperor reminded.

"So...you don't believe me about this?" Droplet asked.

"Droplet, I..." the emperor was about to respond, before he was interrupted by Ocellus' voice speaking:

"Attention water dragons of Dragon Seas, I have something to say to you, and the fire dragons."

On Roca's mountain, Ocellus was speaking through a microphone connected to countless giant speakers as tall and as wide as one tenth of Roca's mountain. Not to mention that only two of the speakers were surrounding Ocellus, while the others faced down into the water, all around Roca's mountain so Ocellus'. voice could be transmitted throughout the water to ensure the water dragons could hear it.

"I just hope that we're not defeating any creature..." Nature Bloom commented, as she and the other Heroic Ten members, Discord, Roca and the Young Six members minus Smolder all stood on the mountain wearing ear protectors.

"I just hope that this is the acceptable way..." Sunshine Rays commented.

"I am so sorry about what I did to both fire dragons and water dragons, all because I wanted to spend time with my Best Friend, whom I lost in the process of committing this wrongdoing: I created tensions between the fire dragons and water dragons by disguising myself as that fire dragon who insulted the water dragons, and then disguised myself as the water dragon who offended the fire dragons, before turning into a micro-organism to avoid capture. Causing disharmony between two kinds just to keep my Best Friend apart from who I am jealous of, is a serious wrongdoing, because I might cause something as terrible as war all over something between my friends. I accept any punishment you want to give me. I deserve harm, not any creature else..."

During Ocellus' speech, Smolder gradually smiled to know that the cyan changeling had learnt her lesson and was willing to make amends.

The water dragons slowly went to the surface to see Ocellus themselves, including both the emperor and the empress.

"Ocellus..." Dragon Lord Ember angrily began.

"No, wait! Don't hurt her!" Droplet shouted, leaping out of the water and flying towards Ocellus, stopping right in front of her and defending her.

"What?!" Ember asked.

"She was willing to admit her mistake to all of us! All dragons! Both fire dragons and water dragons! That's two whole kinds instead of just one!" Droplet began explaining.

"And so?!" Ember asked.

"Admitting a mistake to this many dragons and creatures is really brave; many will usually be ashamed of their mistakes and will prefer as less creatures knowing about the mistakes as possible, but Ocellus allowed every creature to know hers by announcing it to us all, by herself. She does want to make amends! This act is enough to do so!" Droplet finished explaining.

"I have to agree with Droplet," Emperor Oceanic said, "Not only is it a sacrifice, Ocellus also brought both dragon kinds together with her speech."

"And a real chance to get along," Empress Mariana added.

"You...you are right..." Ember speechlessly responded, approaching the water dragon leaders.

"Emperor Oceanic," the emperor introduced himself.

"Empress Mariana," the empress introduced herself.

"Dragon Lord Ember," Ember introduced.

"And Dragon Lord Consort Garble," Garble introduced, flying right next to his wife.

"Look! The fire dragon and water dragon leaders! They are getting along!" Droplet happily commented, watching the said leaders meet and greet.

"We sure are!" Empress Mariana responded, overhearing what Droplet said.

"And we look forward to signing a peace treaty," Emperor Oceanic added.

"So will I, turns out fire and water can get along after all," Ember commented.

"And I know something else that can get along!" Smolder added, landing right in front of Ocellus, "A dragon and a changeling!"

"What?!" Ocellus asked in a confused tone.

"For making amends, I hereby dis-" Smolder began, causing Ocellus to gasp before Smolder finish the sentence, "disown you. You are officially dis-disowned, in other words, not disowned anymore. I acknowledge you as my BFF once again!"

Ocellus smiled to hear what Smolder said, happily hugging the dragon, "Thank you so much, BFF!"

Smolder embraced her best friend's hug, just before their warm reunion moment was interrupted by Volcano who approached them.

"Technically, there's no such phrase as 'dis-disown', you should just say you called off the disownment and acknowledges her and your relationship as friends again!" Volcano informed them.

"Volcano," Smolder giggled, "I was just having fun saying that."

Ocellus giggled as well, happy to have her Best Friend back and the problems she caused resolved.

Soon, perhaps a few days later, a huge party was held in Equestria, thrown by Pinkie Pie and her husband Cheese Sandwich.

"Alright, every creature! The big Water Dragon Welcoming Party is here to celebrate the peace and friendship between all of Equestria and Beyond with their new friends, the water dragons!" Pinkie Pie happily announced, as she and Cheese Sandwich activated their party cannons. This time, instead of confetti, millions of tiny water droplets were shot out of the cannons.

Rainbow Dash and her husband Soarin led the Wonderbolts to performing their show at the huge celebration, while Rarity and Spike worked on the last bits of the decorations. Applejack and her husband Caramel, alongside Big Mac and his wife Suga Belle set up the apple-themed food, all while Discord was telling Fluttershy about his latest escapade.

"I'm telling you! I helped them a lot! I got them to know about Droplet!" the draconneques insisted, causing Fluttershy to giggle, "Oh Discord..."

Among the creatures, old notable creatures associated with the Council of Friendship could be seen talking and getting along; Capper, Captain Celaeno, Tempest Shadow and former Chancellor Neighsay, all while Princess Twilight Sparkle, and the leaders of the changelings approach Ocellus.

"Ocellus." King Thorax could be heard saying the name of.

"King Thorax, Prince Pharynx, Princes Twilight Sparkle!" Ocellus bowed before her superiors.

"We've heard a lot about your involvement in the recent tale about fire dragons and water dragons," Prince Pharynx began, causing Ocellus to whimper.

"We sure were...disappointed in you..." Princess Twilight Sparkle sadly admitted with her eyes closed.

"I'm so sorry! I lost my moral compass out of jealousy and blindness!" Ocellus apologised.

"But we also know that you had the willingness to make up for it, and you did make up for it." King Thorax assured.

"And best of all, you brought the fire dragons and water dragons together!" Pharynx added.

"And benefitted every creature as now that fire dragons and water dragons are in peace, every creature can also be in peace with the water dragons, and the water dragons provide us with lots of water as our friends...while as their friends, we teach them and share with them the wonders of the world out of the water." Princess Twilight Sparkle ended, watching the leaders of the fire dragons and water dragons get along.

"And the water dragons finally get to know their whole bodies!" Thorax added.

"As in, what animal body parts they have," Pharynx clarified.

"Thank you for your understanding, and forgiveness, you're majesties." Ocellus bowed.

"And I've heard from Luster Dawn that you sure have learnt something about friendship through the whole situation, which became involved with the new story about fire dragons and water dragons." Princess Twilight Sparkle added.

"Yes, Princess Twilight Sparkle," Ocellus explained, "I've learnt that a real friend will never do something so wrong just to keep some creature away from their friends. Plus, real friends should be willing to let others, even other friends spend time with their friends, not keep a friend all to themselves."

"Well done, Ocellus." Princess Twilight Sparkle praised, just before she, Ocellus, Thorax and Pharynx turned to look at Discord, who caught their attention with his voice just a few metres away.

"Seriously, I deserve more credit than this!" Discord could be heard telling Fluttershy and the Council of Friendship's children, who were all giggling.

"I was the one reason they met Droplet and get to know about the water dragons!" Discord declared.

"Let's just hope he learns that credit isn't everything," Thorax commented, watching the scene.

"That is Discord for you," Pharynx added.

Ocellus then turned her head to look at Smolder and Droplet, who were enjoying some private time together on the balcony of one of the towers of Canterlot, having cake.

"This cake is so delicious! I'm so glad that every water dragon gets a chance to try it, Smolder!" Droplet commented.

"I'm glad that every fire dragon got to learn to make some warm water by working together with every water dragon." Smolder remarked, drinking some warm water from her cup.

"I am so lucky to meet you, Smolder." Droplet stated.

"I am so lucky to meet you too, Droplet." Smolder replied.

"Smolder? Droplet?" Ocellus asked, approaching them by the stairs.

"Ocellus! You're here!" Droplet greeted.

"You're not upset that I'm here?" Ocellus asked.

The dragons giggled in unison before Droplet started, "I can never be upset with the presence of the BFF of my girlfriend."

"Wait, what?" Ocellus asked in shock.

"Droplet and I are dating now," Smolder confirmed.

"Oh..." Ocellus replied softly, "Well...as your BFF, I should be alright with it..."

"Actually Ocellus, we'd like you to come along whenever we hang out." Droplet informed.

"What?!" Ocellus asked, "But aren't dates just for two?"

"Well, that's what we originally thought, until Droplet came up with the idea." Smolder replied.

"Fire and water may both be needed to make soup and warm water, but there's one more thing that always have been needed in the process, too." Droplet explained, "There always have been a pot to contain the water over the fire! We're just fire and water, we need a pot!"

"So you mean..." Ocellus began.

"You are our pot to complete our set, Ocellus!" Smolder exclaimed.

"Really?! That means you both want me to be with you two whenever you...date?!" Ocellus asked.

"You can be like a tour guide giving us a romantic tour!" Droplet suggested.

"Or a helper!" Smolder added.

"Or a friend to play a game with!" Droplet added.

"Or the creature in charge of the pot whenever we warm water!" Smolder finished the list, causing the three to laugh in unison.

"Well, when fire, water and a pot unite!" Ocellus responded, causing another laugh to be shared among the trio.

3. Laziness Is Still A Vice

In the Castle of Friendship's Throne Room, Luster Dawn just finished a project meant to show the history of the Heroic Ten so far, while saying:

"The newest heroes of Equestria, the Heroic Ten, first got all together when Luster Dawn, biological daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle's first graduated student, Starlight Glimmer, was sent to Ponyville, and met nine creatures who became her best friends. They eventually graduated from the School of Friendship so soon, as they had proven to be able to learn friendship by themselves after they succeeded in saving every creature from Princess Twilight's former student Eclipse Instant, and reform her.

Then, they reformed another immoral creature, Shapeshifter, who did not want Eclipse to earn forgiveness because he himself did not get forgiveness. The reformed creatures then travelled all over the kingdom to fix their mistakes that affected every creature, and eventually returned on Hearth's Warming Eve to live with the Heroic Ten. Not so long after that, the Council of Friendship got petrified by an unusual, anti-social creature called a Stone Witch, whom every creature did not know, had created the Stone Mountain of Nothingness which the council was actually discovering whether it would be suitable for usage or not. Fortunately, the Heroic Ten managed to reform the Stone Witch named Roca, and got her to un-petrify every creature she petrified.

And not so long after that, during a school break, the Heroic Ten invited the creature heroes before them, the School of Friendship's graduated first group of six top students, to visit Roca in order to help hr meet more friends and learn to be more social. With help from Discord, who also needed to get on better terms with Roca after their previous encounter. Discord eventually decided to take a majority of the guests for a one-of-a-kind underwater adventure in a submarine he conjured up with his magic. During the expedition, the group met Droplet Tidal, a water dragon who told them about his kind, and the reason why they never showed up on land nor sky. Droplet and Smolder got closer together as they decided to get their kinds to be in peace, but jealous Ocellus sabotaged the plans, thinking that doing so would allow her to spend time with Smolder as the dragons would be separated.

When Ocellus admitted her wrongdoing out of guilt, Smolder was furious enough to disown her until she made amends by announcing her mistake to all the fire dragons and water dragons, bringing the two dragon kinds together and a new helpful friend for every creature as the water dragons were allowed to visit land and sky while providing us with water as our friends, while we share with them everything on land and sky that they never knew because of their more-than-a-millennium's time of being concealed underwater."

"Nice presentation," Nature Bloom commented.

"But unfortunately, it is missing a lot of facts and details!" Volcano complained.

"Sorry Volcano, this is the best I can think of at the moment." Luster apologised.

"Look, ever since the latest big change in Equestria and Beyond, there's a change in the education of its history!" Volcano reminded.

"That totally makes sense," Falcon Dive commented.

"History is what already happened after all," Evergreen added.

"The water dragons being part of Equestria and Beyond now means something new to add to the history! And as the heroes involved, we must try to help every creature know this history fresh in their heads!" Volcano announced.

"But we were not the only heroes involved!" Alkali reminded.

"Professors Smolder, Ocellus and Silverstream from the School of Friendship, Mr Sandbar and Mdm Yona, and Captain Gallus of the Royal Guards of Canterlot were heavily involved, too!" Krona reminded.

"Would Fire Dragon Lord Ember and Fire Dragon Lord Consort Garble count as involved, too?" Yellow Bright asked.

"Well...they did sign the peace treaty with Water Dragon Emperor Oceanic and Water Dragon Empress Mariana, which allowed the water dragons to visit Equestria and Beyond as friends of every creature..." Buffer stated, before being cut off by Alkali.

"So they are definitely involved! Have something to do with this!"

"I may be talented at writing about morality and what is right and what one should do, but history books?" Sunshine Rays asked.

"Just treat it like writing a narrative story or making a colourful scrap book to contain the important notes!" Alkali advised.

"Taking it easy is not the way to do it!" Volcano insisted,"Luster's presentation missed out so many details despite the art masterpiece, and Alkali also took out lots of important info just to summarise it!"

"But Volcano, my summaries always helped our students at Improvement Academy, remember?" Alkali asked.

"This is not being diligent enough!" Volcano announced.

"Now there's a level for diligence?" Falcon Dive asked.

"Every virtue does has its levels." Sunshine Rays informed.

"Volcano, we get it that you want our work about our team's history to be excellent for every creature to know, but seriously, you can't take it too seriously!" Luster tried to reason with him.

"If you all can't do it because you're not diligent enough then I believe that I got to harshly get you all to be diligent enough to do it!" Volcano claimed, causing all of his best friends to gasp in unison.

After the series' theme song played, the creatures still could not believe what their friend said recently.

"You can't be serious!" Alkali could not help but say.

"I am serious when I said it. You all must work on your diligence and get what should be done, done at the very best!" Volcano strictly declared.

"Just when I thought I was the only creature to be so strict," Sunshine Rays commented.

"Lacking on diligence, what's the big deal?" Falcon Dive asked.

"The big deal is diligence is a virtue, and lacking it means that you're not very virtuous!" Volcano informed.

"But isn't lack of diligence nothing compared to immorality?" Falcon Dive asked, "The lack of morality?"

"The opposite of diligence is laziness," Volcano reminded.

"Well, since laziness most likely means unwilling to do the work one should be doing, while immorality means not concerned whether something is right or wrong..." Sunshine Rays explained, "There are reasons to think that immorality is worse than laziness..."

"Don't think you can get away with this, because I see it coming. You are trying to avoid work and be lazy because you think that laziness is no big deal because there are vices, also known as bad values, worse than it!" Volcano confronted.

"Anything better than the worst!" Falcon Dive brushed off.

"Shouldn't you be the Element of Selflessness and think of others' good and help them when they are in need? Like, help getting them to know what they should know!" Volcano asked, handing over a book to the griffon.

"Let me guess, you're using another virtue to encourage the spirit of one virtue that is being lacked?" Sunshine Rays asked.

"Yes I am! Because we al know better that we can never have only one single virtue, we need a variety of them to be virtuous!" Volcano answered, before turning back to Falcon Dive, "Now, be selfless and think of every creature's knowledge sake and write the best history book about the Heroic Ten's history so far, which you must be good at because you're one of the characters yourself!"

"Right away! Whatever some creature else wants or needs!" Falcon Dive saluted, zipping off with th book in his claws.

"Are you sure you have to do things like that, Volcano?" Nature Bloom asked like Fluttershy would.

"Of course I have to do that! Work must be done, and he's not willing to do it until I did that!" Volcano answered.

"And matter-of-fact, there was no violence, no huge insulting, just a speech of motivation to get him to do the right thing. So it is most likely acceptable..." Sunshine Rays commented.

"And you know what is acceptable? Good books about our history made by us ourselves!" Volcano declared, before tossing a book to each one of his friends remaining in the Throne Room.

"Draw, write and arrange the details in the best and most effective ways you can, effective in the way that you yourselves remember everything important, no detail missed out, and let me see everything when you're done!" Volcano instructed.

"Wow, you sure are like our teacher now!" Yellow Bright commented.

"That's because I am your teacher that's teaching you how to do work diligently!" Volcano replied.

"Well, as Element of Listening, I better listen, especially when I can identify who is worth listening to..." Buffer commented, while preparing to leave the Throne Room to do his work on the book he received.

"Krona's got to try her best..." Krona talked like a yak as she prepared to leave the room with her book to work on as well.

"I suppose the nice thing to do is to help every creature know what they should know about our history," Nature Boom said, taking off with her book.

"I suppose I can take a break from writing non-narrative books and write one narrative book instead..." Sunshine Rays commented.

"You're being positive, Sunshine! By saying that you are looking on the positive side!" Yellow Bright informed, just before Volcano approached the earth pony.

"And here's something else to think positively about; work!"

"Work?! Oh, right! Work! The work! About our history so far...I'll get onto it...plus working can be interesting..." Yellow Bright quickly walked off with his book.

"As some creature patient, I accept this work," Evergreen politely said, levitating the book with her Kirin magic and walking off.

"I...got to scrapbook...even harder..." Alkali declared, packing up her scrapbooking materials and taking off.

"While I...have to redo mine..." Luster gloomily said, levitating her things and taking them away with her.

In the School of Friendship...

"Everything is looking ship-shaped and ready for the School Opening after the break!" Head-mare Starlight Glimmer cheerful commented.

"Indeed, the canteen, the classrooms, the hallways, all checked and cleaned!" Vice Head-stallion Sunburst informed.

"Shapeshifter and I tidied up the Dorms," Eclipse Instant informed.

"And cleaned them all," Shapeshifter added.

"Thank you for your help in the Castle, and the School, both of you." Starlight thanked the reformed creatures.

"Just happy to help others like friends would," Eclipse replied.

The next second Trixie, the School of Friendship's Guidance Counsellor showed up sneezing uncontrollably, as she said, "Sorry..Trixie's just...allergic to something..."

Upon knowing that Trixie was sneezing, Eclipse quickly casted a force field to protect her, Shapeshifter, and the Heads of the School from the sneezes.

"Thanks for the protective sheild, Eclipse." Sunburst thanked.

"Trixie, did you just went to the School's bathroom?" Starlight asked her Best Friend.

"Why yes, everything's clean as usual..." Trixie informed before sneezing once again.

"Was the bathroom cleaned by using anti-bacteria spray properly?!" Starlight asked.

"Well...I just sprayed a little of it at the entrance..." Trixie replied, before letting out another sneeze.

"That is not spraying it properly! Now look at yourself!" Starlight complained, "You should have been more diligent and take things seriously! In other words, properly spray each and every last corner of the bathroom to clear out the bacteria, germs and viruses so they cannot multiply all over so soon and get you nor any creature else sick so easily!"

"Didn't Volcano tell you anything about diligence when he interacted with you?" Sunburst added.

"What?!" Trixie asked, sneezing, "Diligence, diligence! That's his thing!"

"It should be every creature's thing, because it is one of the virtues?" Eclipse asked.

"You catching a cold won't even happen if you had been more diligent when you cleaned the bathroom!" Starlight insisted, "I'm afraid that you better be quarantined in your wagon until you are better, to stop your cold from spreading. We'll clean the place properly and diligently while you do so!" Starlight instructed, as she got her Best Friend out of the place.

"Volcano wants the best of the best of our work! And not just that, it's probably because as the newest heroes and the first ones to be this focused on virtues, we got to create the best works about our team's history because we ourselves should know best about our team's history!" Sunshine Rays talked to herself in her room, as she tried her best to diligently write about her team's history using her method.

In Luster Dawn's room, the room's owner was reviewing her summarised plan.

"First, the backstory of the team members, about how they ended up in the School of Friendship and met...then defeating Eclipse, then defeating Shapeshifter, big plans to benefit Equestria and Beyond...adventures that led to encountering with new creatures, or...old creatures who were not seen for a very long time like the Moles and the Water Dragons..."

"Those creatures, they should have known that it's just as simple as organising and keeping everything in chronological order," Volcano said to himself, while looking at his notebook that held his version of a history book about his team's interesting, full of important plot, history.

The very next second, Luster teleported into his room, telling him, "Volcano, I just received a letter from Princess Twilight! And it's very urgent since she's calling all ten of us!"

In Canterlot Throne Room, the ten creatures were soon down to business with their superior, the Ruler of Equestrian, Princess Twilight Sparkle.

"Thank you all for coming here as soon as you could," the alicorn thanked, "Especially when you all have another important task to do recently."

"Let me guess, that task is writing history books about our team..." Falcon Dive raised his claw.

"Yes, and that task is important since a lot has changed thanks to your contributions, and every creature has got to know about it. But back to the main point, the reason I summoned you is because there's something even more urgent, that I need you to sort out before you finish your history book writing." Princess Twilight explained.

"But, isn't it the Council of Friendship's duty to handle urgent things in Equestria and Beyond?" Krona asked.

"Yes, but the Council is currently busy with their other occupations right now, that is why I asked for you." Princess Twilight explained, "I just got words from Scootaloo's parents, Snap Shutter and Mane Allgood, that on their way home to Ponyville from far out of Equestria, they witnessed a river that was completely black in colour!"

The Heroic Ten immediately gasped upon hearing the last words in the sentence, followed by Volcano saying, "Only one thing can cause a river to have that condition; pollution!"

"We're so sorry you got to hear that, Sunshine..." Evergreen apologised, knowing the white pegasus' intense dislike towards anything that was not good, which obviously included pollution.

"Don't worry, those polluters aren't even here for me to be angry at!" Sunshine Rays declared.

"Maybe we should try to approach them nicely and ask them to stop polluting in a nice manner before we do something not so nice?" Nature Bloom politely suggested.

"Your mission is to fix the river and ensure that such pollution does not happen ever again!" Princess Twilight instructed.

"Don't worry Princess Twilight Sparkle, I am sure that we can handle it!" Luster bowed.

"But if we can't, we'll admit it for sure. I'm just saying this just in case we're making a promise that we thought we can keep, but actually can't!" Buffer finished.

"Thank you all," Princess Twilight Sparkle smiled.

The nex thing the creatures knew was the fliers Sunshine Rays, Volcano, Nature Bloom, Alkali and Falcon Dive were pulling the hot air balloon that their non-flier friends Luster Dawn, Yellow Bright, Evergreen, Buffer and Krona were in, like horses pulling a carriage. Every creature had backpacks on their backs, contains everything they needed during their mission, knowing the chances were, they would be there for more than one day.

"Are you sure we are going the right way?" Alkali asked..

"Of course we are! According to the map, we are almost there!" Volcano insisted, holding a map that had a black line drawn on it, to indicate the location of the river they were looking for.

"Are you sure the river is wide? Because if it is, we must have seen it by now!" Sunshine Rays asked, before unhappily muttering, "As well as those polluters by any chance!"

"Sunshine, please remember to be nice. You still remember what happened without when you completely forgot to be nice, do you?" Nature Bloom reminded.

"Yes...caused every creature I confronted to be so angry, and I had to make amends by giving a much nicer speech." Sunshine Rays plainly replied.

"Every creature, I spotted the black river! Dead ahead!" Falcon Dive announced, as the view showed the black river from down below, thousands of metres away from the sky where they were.

"That is one really black river!" Krona commented.

"On the bright side, we all know it's polluted and needs serious attention!" Yellow Bright added.

"And on the dark side, it totally proves that there are some no-good polluters who need some confrontation!" Sunshine Rays declared, causing Nature Bloom to face-hoof herself.

"Where should we land?" Evergreen asked.

"Right beside the river on that patch of grass, clear of trees!" Luster pointed, signalling the fliers to take the balloon down.

As soon as they landed, Yellow Bright the balloon to the nearest tree to prevent it from floating off without them.

"That settles it!" the earth pony chirped, after wrapping the rope around the tree's stem.

"Wait! That doesn't settle it!" Volcano marched forward, pointing at the rope around the tree stem, "This is not tied properly! Some creature so should have known to tie it better!"

"Sorry, Volcano..." Yellow Bright apologised.

"Sorry is not enough! You got to tie it very properly to ensure that the purpose of tying is achieved! In other words, the only reason you tie it is to ensure that the hot air balloon cannot float away while we're not around, and if you tie it so improperly, there are high chances that the rope will become loose, allow the balloon to float away, and then there's no purpose of tying!" Volcano ranted as he tied the rope diligently.

"Don't worry, I won't do that again..." Yellow Bright apologised.

"There! Tied up in the proper manner and order!" Volcano announced, presenting the very tight knot he had tied around the tree stem. "There's no way this will ever become loose by itself!"

"Thanks, Volcano. Now we really need to..." Luster began, before being interrupted by the dragon.

"Hold up! We got to make sure that the rope tied to the balloon is also totally secured and properly tied!"

"Volcano, what about the river?!" Sunshine Rays asked.

"We'll take care of that once I finished securing the balloon!" Volcano replied, tying the knot around the balloon even tighter.

"That is Volcano alright. Very serious and diligent. Ensuring things are done properly." Alkali commented, knowing the dragon well from working with him as teaching assistant and teacher.

"He just wanted to ensure things are done the right way...." Nature Bloom added.

"And what I want to ensure is that this river get cleaned right away, and no more pollution nor polluters!" Sunshine Rays declared.

"All done!" Volcano announced, "Sorry that I took up so much of your time, but it's worth it to make sure that we can all safely catch a ride home after we're done here." Volcano explained.

"If we ever get to get home. I mean, who knows how long we will be here to clean up the river, and ensure that this pollution never happens again!" Sunshine Rays dramatically complained.

"Sunshine really does not like pollution..." Buffer stated.

"Every creature knows that!" Krona responded.

"We don't like pollution, either." Evergreen informed.

"Think of all the organisms suffering from it!" Nature Bloom whimpered.

"As long as it's a threat to others, I'm doing everything I can to stop it!" Falcon Dive declared.

"We can start with taking at least a sample and observing it." Volcano said, approaching the black river with his back pack on his back before he took it off to grab a test tube from a small brown case containing chemistry apparatus inside the backpack.

"Does he always bring those things whenever we're on an adventure?" Krona asked.

"Most likely." Alkali replied.

After collecting the sample, Volcano took the microscope out of his backpack to take a deep look into the black water from his sample, before telling his best friends, "Yes, just as I thought. The water is black in colour because of pollution. There's lots of pollutants in it, and the pollutants are....organic waste."

"Organic waste?" Falcon Dive asked.

"You know, things that come from living things? Like plants, animals..." Alkali began.

"Organic things usually decompose. But it's better for them to decompose on land, buried deep in the soil, and not in the water. Because decomposition in the water most likely will pollute the water." Volcano explained.

"That's what the water dragons said, as the reason why they eat up dead animals and dead plants as soon as possible." Buffer stated.

"If a dead organism decomposes on land, it can become fertilisers for some species of plant, while organic waste like tissue paper, leftover food and dead leaves can become compost, one of the ingredients of soil." Volcano explained.

"But what happens if it's in the water?" Evergreen asked.

"If it is in the water, it usually causes pollution..." Volcano explained, "As it decomposes, it contaminates the water, which leads to said pollution."

"So if we remove all the...things that are decomposing, will it undo the pollution?" Yellow Bright asked.

"It only makes the situation a little bit better. It does not completely solve the problem because the water needs to be purified, and it is best to make sure whoever polluted it does not pollute it again, or any creature else for that matters." Volcano answered.

"Exactly!" Sunshine Rays agreed, expressing her dislike towards polluters.

"Sunshine, you know better that hatred is never a good thing!" Nature Bloom reminded, "If you want the polluters to stop, you should nicely try to reason with them, not lash out and use loud tone, confronting words."

"Sorry..." Sunshine Rays sighed, "You all know me, I really do not like pollution."

"Neither do we." Evergreen approached.

"And we are going to put an end to this if we can!" Luster declared.

"So, how are we going to find out who or what caused the pollution?" Falcon Dive asked.

"By asking some creature who lives around here?" Krona suggested.

"With pollution this bad, I don't think any creature lives around here." Evergreen frowned.

"Should we yell 'Does any creature live around here?' out loud?" Yellow Bright suggested.

"Reserve that for last." Luster replied, "We do not want to burst any creature's eardrums."

"Newcomers?" an unfamiliar female voice was heard asking.

An earth pony mare about the same age as the creatures showed up from the bushes, telling them, "Sorry if I startled you, it's just, very unusual to find healthy ponies since...ages ago."

"We can see why you said that." Sunshine Rays responded, giving a mere glare.

"Sorry, she just does not like pollution..." Nature Bloom apologised and explained.

"Wait, pollution?" the earth pony mare asked.

"You do not know what pollution is?!" Yellow Bright asked in shock.

"No pony ever used that word. I don't even know that word exists!" the mare replied.

A majority of the Heroic Ten gasped in unison, with the exception of Volcano who announced, "Of course you do not! I can identify that you do not have access to education like we do, because you live here, far out of Equestria, in the wilderness. No education, no knowledge of such things."

"Volcano, I will say 'It might be because you're far from Equestria in the wilderness, so you most likely do not have access to the education there.' Saying this will be.a lot nicer." Nature Bloom told the dragon.

"Sorry, I was a bit too focused on what I picked up through background information and observations." Volcano apologised.

"I have heard of Equestria, a kingdom of ponies, am I right?" the mare asked.

"Used to be, because now it's full of ponies and creatures alike!" Krona exclaimed.

"Who are you? And how come you are so not unaware of Equestria's current state?" Luster asked.

"I am Windflower." the earth pony mare introduced, "I'm from a settlement near this river, because my ancestors started a huge family that went down for generations here after getting lost in the wild, and they were missing from Equestria forever since then."

"Another long gone friend of Equestria's?" Falcon Dive asked.

"I may not know Equestria very well, but I heard it's a great pony place from my parents, who heard it from their parents and so on!" Windflower commented.

"Windflower, Equestria is still a great place, but it's not just a pony place anymore!" Evergreen informed.

"Like we said, it's a place for every creature!" Buffer added.

"Ever since Princess Twilight Sparkle became its ruler." Alkali finished.

"Wait...Princess Twilight Sparkle?" Windflower asked in confusion.

"Don't tell us that you don't even know that Princess Twilight Sparkle, chosen by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, to be their successor as ruler of Equestria, became Ruler of Equestria a generation ago!" Falcon Dive could not help but say.

"Sorry....it's just, my ancestors said that they knew Princess Celestia had ruled the kingdom for centuries since she did not biologically aged!" Windflower pointed out.

"Things change as time flies." Evergreen calmly said.

"But don't worry, we're from Equestria, and we help any creature in need!" Luster added.

"As true friends," Nature Bloom went on.

"And heroes!" Sunshine Rays finished.

"Thanks, but, I'm not so sure if you can help much. It's like every creature in my settlement is always sick!" Windflower commented.

"What?!" the creatures asked in unison.

Luster immediately casted a force field to separate her and her friends from Windflower, while asking, "If that's the case, why aren't you sick?!"

"Probably because I collect rainwater to drink and wash myself with." Windflower commented, "And I keep them in a hideout, a little distance away from my settlement."

"I am confused. Do you live in your settlement, or your hideout?" Yellow Bright asked.

"Hideout. Ever since I chose to sleep outside my settlement for the sake of my wellbeing." Windflower answered.

"But, what about every creature else?" Falcon Dive asked.

"There's nothing I can do for them....it felt like it's not worth it...that's why I moved out, but still live close by." Windflower explained.

"Can you please show us your hideout? So we can see what it has that makes it different from the settlement?" Luster asked.

"I'm not so sure...I don't have enough water to last all of you!" Windflower expressed uncertainties.

"Don't worry, we brought our own water!" Alkali took out her water bottle from her one of her saddlebags.

"I think she finds it hard to trust us with something important to her," Nature Bloom told her best friends.

"Yes...it is hard to entrust some pony...especially when the ponies back in my settlement my be my family because they are all descendants of my ancestors who started the place, but they...took my rainwater back when I lived with them..." Windflower admitted.

"So they don't collect their own water?" Buffer asked.

"I'm the one pony who ever did!" Windflower replied.

"So why will you do it?" Sunshine Rays asked.

"Because when I was little, I once went out of the settlement on a windy, cloudy day and found some clear water in a fallen leaf and curiously tasted it, before drinking it whole, finding it so good. Then it started raining, when the water in the leaf kept filling up, causing me to realise that it was rainwater. Wanting to collect the water, I used many leaves, but soon found them nearly dried up the next day. So I weaved the leaves together to make something to trap the rainwater I collected by covering it on all sides; a leaf-weaved ball that can be opened by unwrapping." Windflower explained, as she had a flashback of her filly self.

"Also, I earned my cutie mark from doing that," she added, looking a her mark, which was a blue water droplet, a leaf and a ball made of leaves like the one in the flashback.

"Wow, earth pony so creative!" Krona could not help but comment.

"Those are some very epic surviving skills!" Falcon Dive added.

"Windflower, if making things with leaves is your talent that earned you your cutie mark, why...I mean...how come your name..." Luster stuttered, trying her best not to make any creature feel uncomfortable.

"Names do not determine who you are..." Windflower responded, before stopping since she did not any of the creatures' names.

"I am Luster Dawn, a unicorn." Luster introduced.

"Sunshine Rays, a pegasus." Sunshine introduced.

"Yellow Bright, an earth pony." Yellow Bright introduced.

"Evergreen, a kirin," Evergreen introduced.

"Nature Bloom, a changeling." Nature introduced.

"Krona, a yak!" Krona proudly declared.

"Buffer, a buffalo." Buffer introduced.

"Falcon Dive, but I'm not really a falcon, I'm a griffon, half-lion half-eagle!" Falcon Dive said quickly.

"Alkali, a hippogriff named after soluble bases, alkalis." Alkali added a few details to her introduction.

"Volcano, a dragon named after volcanoes." Volcano ended.

"Wow, you're all from Equestria?" Windflower asked.

"Yes, we are." Later replied, "But right now, let's get back to the situation. About your hideout?"

"Sure...but I'm afraid that only ponies can fit through the entrance...I'm sorry...I just got to keep it hidden to feel safe..." Windflower uncomfortably informed the creatures.

"Don't worry, we can wait outside!" Buffer answered.

"While the ponies go in!" Krona added.

"Nature and I may not be ponies, but we are very similar to ponies in shape, and size!" Evergreen pointed out.

"And I think Falcon Dive can fit, too!" Yellow Bright figured.

"Sorry...but I don't think all of you can fit in my hideout just because you can fit through the entrance..." Windflower apologised.

The scene changed to Windflower showing the creatures her hideout; a hollow tree that was filled with balls made of leaves leaning against the tree bark while leaving only enough area for a pony to curl up to sleep in front.

"Wow, that is a lot of balls..." Nature Bloom gasped.

"Those are the ones storing the rainwater. Once I finished using the water, I leave them opened." Windflower showed a few opened leaf balls hidden at the sides.

"Why do you have to collect so much water? You're the only creature using it!" Falcon Dive asked.

"You can never be too sure when the next rain is." Windflower explained, "It is best to have more than enough to be safe."

"Looks like you got everything you need to survive." Yellow Bright commented.

"And since you're doing good, can we please see your old settlement?" Luster politely asked.

"I'm not so sure...I've become distant to my own family...not just the distant relatives!" Windflower voiced her thoughts out loud.

"Don't worry, we'll just go with you all the way!" Falcon Dive assured.

"But they can still be sick and coughing!" Windflower pointed out.

"I can just conjure up force fields to protect us!" Luster assured, activating her magic.

"Now can you please take us to your old settlement?" Nature Bloom asked.

"We are here to help!" Evergreen added.

Windflower looked at the creatures, before agreeing, "Alright, but you must be prepared fr anything."

The scene changed to the creatures gasping at the entrance of the settlement, finding it full of coughing ponies on the ground, being serious ill.

"I can never imagine this!" Luster could not help but say.

"Those poor ponies..." Nature Bloom added.

"We've seen creatures sick, but this?!" Falcon Dive asked.

"Is a whole new level!" Krona declared.

"I have a little feeling that this got something to do with the water..." Sunshine Rays commented.

"Let's talk about the water later, these ponies need serious healing!" Luster declared.

"Be careful, Luster!" Evergreen shouted at the unicorn who trotted into the settlement right away.

"Don't worry, I've already casted a protective force field shield!" Luster replied as she approached a sick earth pony about the same age as her biological age.

"Wait!" Windflower called, "There has never been a non-earth pony here before!"

"I'm an earth pony, so I can go in, right?!" Yellow Bright asked.

"In cases like diseases, the lesser the better. Most of us got to stay outside of the infected cluster." Sunshine Rays said.

"Every pony here met me before, so it is best that I go." Windflower declared.

"Agreed," Sunshine Rays nodded, before telling her best friends, "Let's wait over here every creature."

"Look on the bright side, at least we will be safe!" Yellow Bright pointed out.

"But we came here to help?" Falcon Dive reminded.

"Look at it this way; as long as we're not sick too, that's helping!" Yellow Bright insisted.

"Every pony, are you alright?!" Windflower called, before hearing a lot of coughing as a response, and a few weak 'no's.

"This is worse than I thought!" the worried earth pony mare said.

"Good thing that you got a magical unicorn who can cast magical protective force field shields to protect you from their sickness." Luster responded, "But...we still have to find out what can cure them, and what caused them to be sick...any ideas?"

"Well...all I know from once living with them is that they always use the river water for everything; washing, bathing, drinking, throwing trash in..." Windflower stated.

"Wait, they do what with the river water?!" Luster asked.

"Use it for everything; bathing, washing, drinking, throwing trash and unwanted things in..." Windflower repeated.

"Throwing trash and unwanted things in?!" Luster asked, "No wonder!"

"No wonder what?!" Windflower asked in confusion.

"No wonder the river is polluted! The trash and unwanted things are the things polluting it! In other words, making it unclean and not safe for usage!" Luster explained.

"How come it is not safe to use?!" Windflower asked, not knowing the science behind the situation.

"Because there are lots of things that should not be in the water, in the water..." Luster replied, saying the most basic hing she could think of.

"So...those things that should not be in the water, is making the water not safe to use?" Windflower asked.

"Exactly!" Luster answered, "Which is why we need to clear it right away!"

The unicorn galloped out of the settlement through the entrance she used, followed by the earth pony mare.

Outside the settlement, the other creatures were waiting for the unicorn and earth pony mares.

"So how did it go?" Krona asked.

"We figured out that the reason every pony is sick is because of the water pollution caused by the settlement's residents' trash that they threw into the river!" Luster answered.

"That is so what they get for polluting the water! The natural consequences!" Sunshine Rays announced.

"What Sunshine meant to say is; throwing trash into the water is not right, it pollutes the water and causes harm." Nature Bloom politely informed.

"But, why will the residents throw their trash in the water, in the first place?" Buffer questioned.

"Because that's their habit! They say that it saves their time by getting rid of unwanted things so quickly and easily! That is as far as I can remember..." Windflower stated.

"But, that is not the way to clear trash!" Evergreen responded.

"Yeah, back in Equestria, we throw the trash in garbage cans where they will be collected, sent to the dump, and burnt." Alkali added.

"My settlement never does that," Windflower replied.

"Then that means only one thing; your settlement's main problem is the residents are lazy!" Volcano announced.

"Volcano, can you use nicer words like, need to be diligent?" Nature Bloom asked.

"Sorry, but this is important." Volcano explained, "When some creature is lazy, that means they are unwilling to do what they are supposed to do. The settlement's residents are lazy because they did not clear trash the way it is supposed to be done! And as a result, they got themselves sick by throwing trash into the river, causing the pollution, and by using the polluted water, they faced the consequences."

"So you are saying, that their laziness caused this harm?!" Falcon Dive asked.

"Exactly! Now do you think that laziness is less harmful than the other vices?" Volcano asked.

"This situation obviously proves that laziness is really harmful..." Krona commented.

"More harmful than we thought...we're really sorry Volcano..." Falcon Dive apologised.

"For not appreciating your diligence standards, nor seeing why diligence is so important like you do..." Evergreen added.

"Apology accepted, but do you promise me to be more diligent, especially from now onwards?" Volcano asked.

"We promise!" the other creatures saluted in unison.

"Great, now who's up for purifying the river?" Volcano asked.

The scene changed to the Heroic Ten and their new friend Windflower at the riverbank, looking at the black river.

"The pollution is obviously terrible with the river this colour!" Buffer commented.

"But we can fix it, right?" Yellow Bright asked.

"We can, by using the simplest natural way to separate water from pollutants!" Luster declared.

"Filter out the insoluble solids from the mixture, separating the residue from the filtrate!" Alkali announced.

"For your information, after we filter the mixture, the insoluble solids are the residue, while the liquid, in this case, the water, is the filtrate." Evergreen told Windflower.

Every creature watched Luster use all her magical might to levitate the polluted water up into the sky, while levitating Volcano's filter paper and his filter paper, which she used a growing spell on to make them big enough to filter the mixture, trapping the residue in the filter paper, separating it from the liquid filtrate.

"Your friend is amazing..." Windflower watched in disbelief.

"She is talented, after all!" Nature Bloom commented.

"Luster, can I have my filter funnel back, normal size now?" Volcano asked.

"Sure...thing!" Luster responded, before shrinking the filter funnel, the filter paper and the residue all together, to levitate to Volcano's claw.

"Thanks," the dragon said, before taking the filter paper and residue out to burn with his dragon fire.

"Now we are going to heat things up!" Falcon Dive announced.

"Luster is going to use a super heat spell, to heat the water up so it can boil and turn into water vapour!" Alkali explained.

"That way, the water particles will be separated from anything that is dissolved in it, as the water changes from liquid to gas, it leaves behind the solids that dissolved in it." Buffer added.

"That is why you can separate salt from seawater by boiling the water, or you can just wait a super long time for it to evaporate, which is changing of state from liquid to gas at temperatures below the boiling point, which is a very slow process as evaporation only occurs at the liquid's surface while boiling, takes place throughout the liquid." Alkali added.

While they talked, Luster resisted her tiredness as she continued using her magic to heat the water to boil it into water vapour within seconds, until every last drop of polluted water is gone.

"Don't worry, the water is not really gone, it just changed its state from liquid to gas." Yellow Bright assured.

"And now she's going to change it back from gas to liquid!" Falcon Dive added.

"After we clear up all these soluble solids." Sunshine Rays reminded, pointing at the solids that remained in the river after the water turned into water vapour.

"I got this every creature!" Evergreen said, using her Kirin magic to levitate the solids away.

Once the Kirin was done, Luster used her unicorn magic with all her might, cooling down the surroundings to a frigid temperature, allowing the water vapour to condense very quickly, turning into water droplets and quickly rained into the river, making it clear as clear can be.

"The river's not black anymore!" Windflower gasped.

"That is because it is purified. All substances that contaminated it is removed." Volcano explained.

"But we still need to cure the poor ponies of the settlement!" Nature Bloom reminded.

"And ensure that they truly learnt their lesson and will never pollute the river ever again!" Sunshine Rays declared.

"That means never throw those things that should not be in the water, into the river ever again!" Buffer added.

"Perhaps they should burn their trash like we do?" Yellow Bright suggested.

"No way! They may risk causing wildfires here!" Volcano warned.

"So what are you suggesting?" Falcon Dive asked.

"I suggest that they compost their trash. Since this is a settlement that we are talking about, one that is made of wood, leaves and organic things, their trash is obviously organic. And organic things can decompose on land to become fertilisers for plants." Volcano explained.

"Just to be sure," Sunshine Rays began, before turning to Windflower, "Are there anything other than things from plants in your settlement?!"

"No....since everything is from plants..." Windflower answered.

"Then clearing your trash should be as easy as digging a hole in the soil and burying it since they are all organic things that can decompose!" Sunshine Rays responded.

"I do not know every creature, if the ponies were lazy to the point that they just throw unwanted things in the river all the time, how do you expect them to clear their trash the right way?" Luster asked.

"Should I become Moonshade Fright?" Sunshine Rays offered.

"Perhaps I should take care of it." Alkali approached.

Soon, after every pony in the settlement was cured by doctors from Equestrian and Beyond, who were summoned by the Heroic Ten, Alkali accompanied Windflower to the middle of the settlement for a speech.

"Every pony, I am glad that you are all better thanks to our new friends from Equestria and Beyond! But this speech is more focused on something else...we found out that the one reason you all were sick was because you were putting things that should not be in the water in the river; you kept throwing unwanted things into the river where ou get your water for everything from! Using the water that you dirtied caused you to get sick! You are very lucky that friendly, heroic creatures from Equestria cam to help, otherwise you would have been goners!" Windflower told her relatives.

"From now onwards, it is up to you to make sure that no creature dirties the river ever again!" Alkali took over, "If you want to get rid of thing you do not want, your trash, you should dig a hole and bury it so it can decompose and become fertilisers for the plants and the environment, instead of dirty every creature's important need, the water!"

"Our new friends even gave us tools to dig holes with! It may still take a little time and work, but it is still a lot better than being lazy and having to face the consequences soon!" Windflower continued.

From behind the crowd of residents of the settlement, Princess Twilight Sparkle told Luster Dawn, "You and your friends really are like me and my friends, willing to save any creature in need, like real friends of every creature!"

"It's just what we do, Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Luster responded.

"And every creature is benefitting, now that we have another new friend." Princess Twilight Sparkle added.

"Yeah, now that the ponies are our friends, we can visit them anytime!" Yellow Bright commented.

"Anytime we are available, that is." Evergreen reminded.

"And not just us, every creature can feel what it is like to be part of natural wildlife in their settlement!" Nature Bloom added.

"It will be a great field trip for every creature!" Krona declared.

"And best of all, thanks to this settlement's latest story, I bet every creature will finally be more aware that it is important to be diligent, because laziness is total harm and nothing good!" Volcano reminded.

"Right....about that..." Falcon Dive responded.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle, through everything we went through to help these ponies, we learnt a really valuable lesson in life: There is no such thing as a vice less harmful than the other vices, as they are all equally harmful. Every reason we need to be virtuous and try our best not to lack any virtues. Only when we all are virtuous, we can truly protect all our friends, and every creature, from the harm we'd cause if we were to lack virtues." Luster told her mentor.

"That certainly is a valuable lesson in life," Princess Twilight Sparkle commented.

"And now that we know that all the vices are equally as harmful as each other, we really got to be a lot more careful not to give in to any of them!" Sunshine Rays announced, before gesturing to Volcano by looking at him.

"And we are going to start that by being diligent, and that means taking work seriously like we are supposed to! Starting with the work we already got to do!" Volcano declared, tossing the notebooks from earlier to each of his friends, signalling them to finish writing their team history like they were supposed to.
