Luster Dawn has made so many friends, she can remember almost every single one of them but when she saw a colt who’s all alone, she knew he needed some help. When Luster Dawn joins the School of Friendship in the middle of the academic year, the first student she meets is her roommate, a kirin who’s more than eager to introduce herself and show Luster around... but not before telling her about her awkward first day.

Princess Twilight Sparkle had just sent her star pupil off to the same village that marked her first steps into learning how powerful friendship can be by making new friends. A big decision that has started to make her question her own friendship among her friends. So when the Cutie Map suddenly signals her, her friends, and even the Young 6 for a new friendship mission, she takes it to herself that she makes the best out of the situation, especially when the location of the problem takes place at Silver Shores.

Meanwhile, Luster Dawn struggles to keep her studies up afloat as she is constantly distracted by her new friends. With these distractions, her dedication to ever completing the princesses's task grows lower and lower, as she tasks herself to find out what a mysterious text on the school's new history book meant.

As both Twilight Sparkle and Luster Dawn grow more tangled into their own problems, they both realize the answer to their question as a new threat to Equestria, a threat that will once again push the magic of friendship to its limits...

For most of her life, Luster Dawn had ignored friendship. After all, it was nothing but a waste of time, right? You'd make friends, spend a lot of time together and eventually it would all fall apart again. It was for the best to stay alone.

That was before Princess Twilight herself showed her real friendship. She and her friends were the living examples of true, everlasting friendship. And sure enough, as they brought Luster to Ponyville, she quickly met new creatures and made friends.

That was all months ago though. By now, she had quit the School of Magic, with the blessing of the Princess, so she could move to Ponyville and attend the School of Friendship instead. After all, the most powerful magic there is was friendship, right? But most importantly, of course, moving to Ponyville meant staying together with her new group of friends, and even attending classes together!

However... there was a catch. Princess Twilight didn't just let her quit the School of Magic and move away, she demanded something in return. She demanded of Luster to come visit her four times a year in Canterlot and tell her of all her new discoveries in the field of friendship.

This was the first time she had to go and report on her experiences, and she wasn't quite sure how it would go.

Luster Dawn enjoys Hearth’s Warming like everypony else. Always spreading cheer with her friends after years of experience but when her teacher, Twilight Sparkle wants her to complete a friendship lesson involving the holiday.

She wants her to find two fillies to understand what Hearth’s Warming is all about. Luckily for Luster, she found two fillies who spend most of their holiday with their parents. She will make sure they will have the best Hearth’s Warming in their childhood.
