//------------------------------// // 1. How the Magic of Friendship Grows, Part One // Story: My Little Pony: How the Magic of Friendship Grows (Season 1) // by Majestical4729 //------------------------------// A storybook with an alicorn painting on it opened and revealed the words, ‘Once Upon A Time’ on its first page. A female narrator then began reading a story: “Once upon a Time, in the magical land of Equestria, a unicorn named Twilight Sparkle, the star student of the Ruler of Equestria, Princess Celestia, was sent to Ponyville after reuniting the two Royal Sisters, Celestia and Luna. Twilight eventually became an alicorn princess after learning a lot about friendship, with the aid of her Ponyville friends, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. Soon, Twilight had a personal student, reformed villainess Starlight Glimmer, who soon graduated and became Guidance Counsellor, and later Headmare of Twilight’s School of Friendship, opened to teach and spread the Magic of Friendship far and wide. Soon, after so many successes, Celestia and Luna decided to retire, and make Twilight the Ruler of Equestria. Many years later, Twilight has a unicorn star student, Luster Dawn, whom she sent to Ponyville to learn the Magic of Friendship just like Celestia sent her.” “Or maybe partially just like Celestia sent her,” Luster Dawn corrected. She was having a walk with her new friends, right after waving goodbye to her mentor, Twilight Sparkle. Twilight just sent her student away, but instead of letting Luster learn the Magic of Friendship the former's way, Twilight made Luster the newest student of the School of Friendship. “Relax, Luster, you don’t have to be just like your mentor in order to be as successful as her,” Luster’s new griffon friend, Falcon Dive, told her. “Plus, at a friendship school, you’ll get to learn about friendship” Alkali the hippogriff added. “Isn’t that what she’s supposed to do?” Krona the yak asked. “Yes...only with teachers to help and guide her!” Alkali clarified. “But we went through the history of Twilight and her friends’ adventures a million times!” Volcano the dragon reminded his friends. “Yeah, and we still haven’t graduate,” Buffer the buffalo commented. “And we know that Twilight did not go to a friendship school to learn friendship!” Luster stated. “Of course, every creature knows that!” Sunshine Rays the pegasus responded. “Who wouldn’t?” asked Yellow Bright the Earth Pony. “Probably some creature who don’t want to study, or forgotten about it,” Evergreen the Kirin suggested. “But the main point is, how am I going to be as successful as my mentor, if I don’t learn friendship the way she did?!” Luster asked, clarifying her question. “That’s...something a little...tricky.” Alkali responded. “We’re only students, so we’re not experts like the teachers are, “ Nature Bloom the changeling commented. “Then why don’t ask them?” Falcon sarcastically asked. “Will they be available? At this time?” Luster asked back. “They...may prefer counselling us students in the daytime,” Buffer answered. “But, since they know that as teachers and the ones in charge of their school, they must care about their students at all times.” Yellow Bright clarified. “Especially after what happened with Silverstream a long time ago,” Krona honestly added. "Did not tell any creature where she was or going, caused all of Mount Aris to look for her, made her Guidance Counsellor and company adventure into the Everfree Forest, one of them got petrified by Cockatrice, but it was all resolved." Luster recalled and summarised. "Wow! You just enrolled and you're already like the top student, knowing the history super well." Volcano commented. "That's because during one of my parents' visits, they told me about it, as the reason why they took their job of looking out for their students so seriously." Luster explained. "You sure are lucky to have the Heads of your school as your parents," Krona commented. "Um, don't you remember the part where Starlight and Sunburst handed her to their parents, her maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother, when she was a baby?" Buffer reminded. "Only because they knew that they could not take care of her! They got a school to run, and hundreds of students to care about!" Sunshine explained, "They could have passed their roles to some creature else, but they knew that it was nearly impossible to find some creature capable of succeeding them, therefore, they chose to send Luster to their birthplace, Sire's Hollow, to be raised by her grandparents." "Until, I thought about enrolling in Princess Twilight's School for Gifted Unicorns..." Luster began, before Yellow Bright interrupted. "Which is originally her mentor's, and the previous ruler of Equestria...Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. Princess Twilight succeeded Celestia as the Head and teacher of the school after her coronation." "Um, every creature? Are we going a little...off topic?" Nature Bloom asked, making the whole team realise where they drifted off to. "Super sorry, about that, Luster, you were saying?" Evergreen apologised for the whole group, giving Luster the chance to talk about what she had in mind. "About being as successful as my mentor in a different environment? And being the daughter of the heads of my new school? How am I supposed to be like Princess Twilight, if I start learning about friendship in a super different environment?" Luster asked. "Relax, Luster, you have friends right here! Us! We'll help you go through the day and night!" Alkali assured. "Plus, I'm sure every creature won't mind." Yellow Bright added. Later that night, Yellow Bright took back what he said, saying, "Okay, maybe they do." "We are so pleased to have you here, Luster!" Starlight told her daughter, in a cheerful, friendly tone. "As our daughter, you totally get to have privileges that every creature else don't!" Sunburst added, "Like, for starters, living with us!" "In Princess Twilight Sparkle's former residence, the Castle of Friendship?" Falcon sarcastically asked. "Grown and created by the Tree of Harmony?" Volcano finished. "I appreciate your offer, Mum and Dad, but I don't want to be treated like specialty, especially when I have friends now." Luster politely rejected her parents' offers. Starlight and Sunburst were shocked to see their anti-social daughter finally showing concerns about her friends, to the point that she would reject an offer that her friends did not get. Luster grew up studying alone in Sire's Hollow, and barely interacting with any creature but her family, and believed that friendship was nothing but a waste of time as she became better at spell-casting than the rest of the unicorn foals, not playing their childish games during free time. Even after moving to Canterlot, Luster resumed being independent, studying alone all the time, not hanging out with friends. "Luster," Starlight begun, "You really made us proud. Princess Twilight may sent you to learn friendship at the School of Friendship, but you just proved that you already learnt something about friendship, without any classes." "Rejecting an offer your friends can't get is a noble act to show how much you cared about them, so we've decided to let you live in the School like every other student, if you accept." Sunburst added. "This is just what I hoped you'll say! Thank you." Luster Dawn hugged her parents. The next day... "Rise and shine, Luster!" Yellow Bright shouted, ringing a bag, startling Luster. "It's your official first day of school! Be excited!" Alkali cheered. "As if it was worth celebrating." Volcano grumpily commented. "Calm down, Volcano. Accept the fact that some of your friends are really into parties and celebrations," Evergreen told the dragon. "So, what should we do?" Falcon asked. "The normal routine every morning? Eat breakfast?" Sunshine replied. "With a little differences, cause we got a new friend!" Krona proudly claimed. "She's talking about Luster," Buffer clarified. Luster let out a nervous giggle as she just found out how supportive and caring her new friends were. Nature Bloom approached the unicorn, "Don't worry, Luster, here at the School of Friendship, we are taught to be friendly and social, and care about every creature, especially our friends." "If we were overwhelming, you can always tell us," Sunshine assured. "Yeah. Cause honesty classes are still on." Krona explained. "Um, speaking of classes, if we don't go to the Mess hall, to eat breakfast so soon, we'll be late for class!" Volcano warned. Not wanting to be late, the ten creatures rushed out of the dorms at the speed of light, before bursting into their location with Falcon pushing open the doors. "Is that Luster Dawn?!" asked a student. "The daughter of Head-mare Starlight and Head-Stallion Sunburst?!" another student squealed. "Uh, remember when I said that every creature won't mind the fact that you're the daughter of the heads of this school?" Yellow Bright nervously asked Luster, "I really take it all back." The students crowded around the ten friends, mainly because of the newest member of their group, knowing who she was. "Can you please excuse us?!" Nature Bloom asked the crowd. "Yeah, some creature...or should I say...some creatures need personal space here!" Falcon exclaimed. "Yaks may like being with friends, but not this much at once!" Krona cried. "What is going on here?!" Guidance Counsellor Trixie asked the crowd. "Oh, hi Guidance Counsellor Trixie!" Alkali waved. "Can you please help us get through this crowd?!" Luster asked. "Anything, Luster Dawn! After all, you are the daughter of the Heads of this School, so you could have the benefits every student else don't!" Trixie exclaimed, unaware of her words creating fury amongst the other students, as they were certainly unhappy about a special student getting the benefits they could not get. "Uh, Guidance Counsellor Trixie?" Luster spoke up, "I appreciate your offer, but I really don't want to be treated as some creature special; I just want to try school life here like any other student." "Well, of course you can have that, dear Luster! I'll tell every creature about that right away." Trixie replied, before walking off to do what she said. After the Guidance Counsellor's departure, the students begun chattering amongst themselves, with Luster having her head hung down; she knew that every other student would not be able to treat her as if she was a regular pony, mostly because she was the biological daughter of their school's Heads. "Are you alright, Luster?" Evergreen asked, approaching the unicorn alongside the rest of their friends. "No, not at all." Luster sadly replied, with the only creatures being able to hear her being her closest friends. "Would you tell us what's bothering you?" Buffer asked, in a concerned tone. "Maybe...it's a lot better to do so...when we're alone." Luster replied. A few hours passed, and the clock struck three. Luster regrouped with her whole team of friends in her room in the Dorms, the one place they knew that most students would not go too. "So, now are you going to tell us?" Volcano asked. "Yes, I would like to, after my first Honesty Class taught by Apple Bloom." Luster replied, before taking a deep breath, "I don't think I can learn friendship here." The nine listening creatures gasped to hear a comment like that from their new friend, especially since the school was friendly towards all of its students; giving the healthiest meals and snacks, providing enough bathrooms, having enough dorms. "Why would Luster say that School isn't where she wants to learn friendship? School is BEST!" Krona declared, speaking in third-creature like most yaks would. "Calm down, Krona." Evergreen told the yak, before calmly asking Luster, "Why would you say so, Luster? Is there anything it doesn't have?" "It's a long story," Luster lamented, "I wanted to accomplish as much as Princess Twilight Sparkle did, but I start out my adventures of learning friendship in an entirely different environment and way; Here, I kept getting special treatment because of being the daughter of the Heads, students keep overwhelming me with their attention and care, and I will barely get a friend who would want to be my friend, not because of my occupation and identity, like Princess Twilight's friends did!" "That's...a lot." Falcon commented. "Luster," Sunshine approached, "I know it's hard for you, being the one student here with the most attention, but don't forget; you already have tons of friends by your side, us!" "Sunshine's right. We are your friends, because we like you for who you are, Luster." Alkali saluted. "Totally! Remember when we all first met you after school?" Yellow Bright asked. In a flashback... "Oh, and how I used to wonder..." Princess Twilight sang, after Luster hung out with the Ruler of Equestria's best friends as they gave her a tour around Ponyville," What friendship could be!" After that and before sending Luster off with her new friends, Twilight approached the unicorn, "Luster, I hope that you'll accept moving to Ponyville...to make some friends like I did." "Of course, Your Majesty." Luster bowed before the Ruler of Equestria. "Good, because I'm actually not just sending you here, I asked your parents if they could make room for a new student at the School of Friendship." Twilight replied. "Wait, what?!" Luster gasped. "I know I didn't learn friendship at a friendship school, but I figured that it will help you learn friendship in a better way." Twilight explained. "A better way? What do you mean?" Luster asked. "What I meant was; At a friendship school, you totally get to be a lot safer, as the students there would most likely be honest, kind, generous, loyal and help you laugh alongside them, creating a good friendship. And most importantly, you'll be safe from all the possible threats that can happen, that happened to me when I was Celestia's star pupil." Twilight clarified. "But didn't she asked you and your friends to go face a huge dragon after you defeated Nightmare Moon?" Luster reminded. "Yes, but after that, I got attacked by a Hydra, petrified by a cockatrice..." Princess Twilight listed, before concluding, "It's a long list anyway, and too numerous to mention individually. So let's not waste any more time and get moving, shall we?" Luster expressed her uncertainty before she sighed, "Anything you say, Princess Twilight Sparkle." "That's what I'm hoping to hear, now, I'm going to hang out with my best friends before checking on you at sunset." Twilight told her student, "I hope that you'll make a wonderful group of fiends like I did." "But, how am I going to make friends with some creature if they know that I'm your student, and the daughter of the heads of the famous School of Friendship?" Luster asked. "Don't worry, all you have to do is find creatures who will like to be your friend, for who you are," Twilight answered, before leaving. "Alright, now to make some friends..." Luster said to herself, before trotting off into town. Along the way, Luster thought about her identity once again, and the possibility that it would make any creature who knew her true identity pay attention to her, only because of it. "I can't let them know my true identity..." Luster whispered to herself, "If they did, they'll just pay attention to me because of it, I can't let them know! I'll just tell them that I'm Luster, and not Luster Dawn." "This is it." Luster told herself, before looking around for some creature who would be kind enough to befriend her. She then heard a voice coming out of nowhere that shouted,"LOOK OUT!" Fortunately, Luster was able to protect herself by creating a forcefield, while the owner of the voice was not so fortunate to crash right onto the forcefield and slide off it. "I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!" Luster asked, approaching the creature who would have crashed into her. "No worries, I'm fine," the creature replied, automatically getting up, "Hang on a sec, I'm not fine! I mean, fine as in no injuries, I'm tough. But not fine, because I'm in a rush!" With that, the creature dashed off, shouting to Luster, "Sorry about nearly crashing into you, anyway!" "It's alright!" Luster called back, a second after the creature disappeared. "So sorry about that, " a voice said to Luster. The unicorn turned towards the voice and saw a white-coated pegasus with a mane that consisted the warm colours, red, red-orange, orange, orange-yellow, and yellow. "Oh, hi, I'm Luster," Luster Dawn greeted, introducing herself. "Nice to meet you, Luster. I'm Sunshine Rays, but every creature usually just call me Sunshine. And I'm so sorry about my friend Falcon Dive. You know, the black griffon who just nearly crashed into you?" the pegasus responded. "Wait, you're friends with that griffon?" Luster asked. "Yes, in a way that you can never imagine...because we don't get along at times, or most likely...at times when some creature needs help." Sunshine explained. "What do you mean?" Luster asked, confused. "Well, Falcon always care about others more than he cares about himself, to the point that he will ruin his own reputation trying to protect them, having pounced on a new student when the newcomer teased two students about their relationship, and getting detention for a week." Sunshine explained. "Oh, that does sound awful," Luster commented. "It does, and I kept trying to tell Falcon that no matter what, we should always do what's right, but he just won't listen whenever he sees some creature in need, like right now." Sunshine continued, before gasping, "RIGHT NOW! Falcon's still on the loose! He can hurt some creature with his speed passing the speed limits! Sorry, Luster, I got to go!" "It was nice meeting you, anyway!" Luster shouted, after Sunshine's departure. The unicorn then heard the conversation between an Earth Pony and a hippogriff nearby. "Is that all the gifts?" the pony asked. "Absolutely! Now all we have to do is get them back to the school!" the hippogriff replied. The two creatures then struggled to carry their gifts with them until Luster used her magic to help them. "Hi, I'm Luster, I'm new around here in Ponyville and at the School of Friendship, and I figured that you two can use some help," the unicorn introduced herself, after getting the two creatures to notice her. "Hi, Luster! I'm Alkali," the hippogriff introduced, "And my Best Friend here is Yellow Bright," "She meant one of her best friends," Yellow Bright clarified, "We have seven other best friends, excluding ourselves," "Wow, that's a lot!" Luster commented. "And all these gifts are for us to share on our group foundation day!" Alkali happily exclaimed, "Which is today!" "That's really..." Luster began, before Yellow Bright cut her off. "Thoughtful and friendly? Of course! We're students at the School of Friendship for two years now, we totally learnt how to be friendly!" "Right..." Luster responded, before continuing their walk. Soon they had the gifts placed in Alkali's room, for safe keeping. "Thanks for your help, Luster!" Alkali cheerfully told the unicorn, "You really helped us like a friend would, so you totally deserve to be called our friend! Because friends help friends, in a good way, and in the right things!" "Just wait until the rest of our best friends meet you," Yellow Bright added, "They'll be meeting us at sunset in the field outside of Ponyville. Would you like to come?" "Sure, why not?" Luster answered, before the school bell rang, forcing her new friends out of the room to do cleaning alongside quarter of the school.. Luster then teleported herself outside of the school ground and back to the middle of Ponyville, where startled a yak and a buffalo behind her, having appeared out of the blue right in front of them. "What's the big idea?!" the yak angrily asked. "So sorry, I didn't know that you'll be here when I teleported here," Luster apologised. "Calm down, Krona, listen," the buffalo told his yak companion before telling Luster, "Sorry, my Best Friend Krona here just doesn't like surprises, the unpleasant ones, that is." "It's alright, it was my bad teleporting here, startling you two," Luster told the creatures. "Unicorn should have been ore thoughtful!" Krona declared, speaking in broken English and third-creature like most yaks would, "Does unicorn even know that with Equestria and allies becoming friendlier, every creature should be thoughtful?!" "Krona, please listen, getting angry does not help," the buffalo told the yak, causing her to calm down. "Krona is so sorry for getting angry at you, unicorn," Krona apologised. "It's alright, Krona, and you really got a good friend by your side," Luster responded. "I'm Buffer," the buffalo introduced himself, "And, please listen, I know that teleportation is convenient, but you should be more thoughtful or you'll scare some creature," "Don't worry, I will cut down my usage," Luster replied, before the two hairy creatures walked off. A second after the encounter, a small flying bird then passed by Luster, catching the unicorn's attention and lading her to noticing a changeling training a flock of birds to perform one of the most interesting bird shows in the history of Equestria. "Well done, every animal!" the changeling praised, "Now, get plenty of rest before sunset, I just can't wait to let my best friends see your splendid performance," "Hi," Luster approached the changeling, "Sorry if I'm startling you, but I just have to say that your animals' performance was amazing! It's not like anything I've ever seen!" "Well, thanks for...liking it. It's actually meant to be for my best friends, as in...for them to see." the changeling replied. "Oh, well, if you want it to be so...private, I totally won't tell any creature about it!" Luster began to back away, before trotting off and leaving the changeling alone. "Looks like you'll only have two friends to be with," Luster mumered to herself, before hearing a conversation between a dragon and a Kirin nearby. "What should we look for? More library books?" a Kirin asked an orange dragon. "Not just any books, books that can help us graduate from the School of Friendship! It's been two years, and we still haven't graduated!" the Dagon replied. "Um, hello?" Luster caught their attention, before introducing herself, "Hi, I'm Luster, and I was sent here to make some friends." "Oh, really?" the Kirin asked, before seeing Luster nod in reply. "Then why don't you go to the School of Friendship? You know, the first-ever friendship school in the history of Equestria?" the Kirin asked some more, before her dragon friend added. "The one Princess Twilight thought of, created and ran as its Head-mare before passing her position to its current Head-mare Starlight because of Celestia and Luna's retirement?" "Well, I totally know the school! Because I just enrolled in it, today." Luster replied. "Really? If you did, how come we never saw you at school?" the Kirin asked. "Probably because I came late, enrolling after school," Luster answered. "Well, since you're new, you totally will need a lot of studies, so would you like to go to the library with us?" the dragon asked. "Library?! Why not?!" Luster exclaimed, showing her passion for studying and reading. "Some creature who loves studying, does she remind you of some creature, Volcano?" the Kirin asked her dragon friend. "Let me guess: me, isn't it?" Volcano responded, "Totally, it is, I know what you're thinking, Evergreen. "Volcano? Evergreen?" Luster asked, "Those are your names?" "Of course they are! To be respectful, we call each other by our real names most of the time," Evergreen explained, "Now, Luster, you really do have a lot to learn about friendship." In a montage, the trio searched the school library from top to bottom, in hopes of finding keys to graduation. Unfortunately, they found nothing except for a copy of Twilight and her friends' Friendship Journal, which contained many valuable lessons about true friendship. "This journal's really interesting," Luster commented, "It seems to have everything about friendship! True friends will never tell you to do what's wrong, true friends will always be there for you when you need them the most, true friends will always tell each other the truth..." Luster stopped, as she felt guilty for not telling any of the creatures she met the truth about her identity, fearing that they would treat her in a special way because of her occupation. "Is everything alright?" Evergreen asked. "Not really, it's just that..." Luster begun, only to be interfered by the bell ringing, alerting the creatures of what time it was. "The sun is setting!" Volcano cried out, "Sorry, Luster, we got to go! We got a group of friends to meet with!" "It's alright! I got somewhere to be at during this timing as well!" Luster shouted to her new friends, who had rushed out of the library. Using her magic, Luster teleported to the field, where Yellow Bright and Alkali were waiting. "Luster, you made it!" Alkali exclaimed. "Of course I have! Why wouldn't I?" Luster asked. "Because we thought you have other things to do, as in, being out in Ponyville?" Yellow Bright pointed out. Before Luster could respond, she was interrupted by Krona, "Why is unicorn-who-scared-us here?!" "Wait, she scared you?!" Alkali asked the yak. "Luster?!" Sunshine Rays asked, "What are you doing here?" Sunshine Rays asked, a moment before Falcon Dive appeared. "The unicorn whom I almost crashed into?! I am so sorry! Plus, if you want a proper apology, I can always invite you to hang out with me and my best friends, for good things?" "Did you invite her here?" the changeling whom Luster met earlier asked Falcon. "Not really, Nature Bloom," Falcon replied to the changeling, revealing her name. "Luster?!" Volcano asked. "How do you know where we are going?" Evergreen asked, "And get here before we do?!" "She can teleport herself," Buffer explained, "Especially earlier when she accidentally scared Krona and I." "So, we all know Luster?! Without telling each other?!" Yellow Bright asked. "Well, actually, it's a long story..." Luster responded, expressing shame, a second before being interrupted by her mentor's voice. "Luster Dawn!" "Luster Dawn?!" the creatures gasped, before seeing the Ruler of Equestria approach the unicorn. "Your Majesty," Luster bowed, before all of her best friends did the same. "Luster, I was looking all over Ponyville for you, have you met any friends like I asked you to?" Twilight asked. Before Luster could respond, her new creature friends beat her to it. "Wait, you were sent to make friends by the Ruler of Equestria?!" Volcano asked in disbelief. "And your name is really Luster Dawn?!" Sunshine added. "The biological daughter of Heads Starlight and Sunburst?!" Nature Bloom continued. "Who performed an age spell on herself?!" Buffer asked. "Passing the entrance exam and getting to be Princess Twilight Sparkle's star student?!" Yellow Bright concluded. Luster blushed in embarrassment while Twilight was shocked, "Wait, you didn't tell your friends who you really are?! Why?!" "It's a long story, Princess Twilight Sparkle," Luster explained sadly, "I didn't tell them who I really was because I was afraid that they'll pay attention to me because of my occupation and identity, and not because they view me as a friend like your friends did." "Luster, I know that you're not going to be able to be completely like I was when Celestia sent me to Ponyville, but you should tell your friends the truth, that'll earn their trust." Twilight advised. "How do you know that they won't pay attention to me because I am special?" Luster asked, looking into her mentor's eyes. "Trust is one of the main things about friendship," Twilight replied, before Luster turned to her new friends. "Every creature, I'm so sorry I didn't tell you all the truth, and thinking that you'll never like me for who I am without giving you all a chance." "Luster," Evergreen approached, "We were indeed shocked to know the truth now, but, since you're new to friendship, we totally understand." "And we all totally forgive you," Nature Bloom added. "Krona may not like unicorn who lies, but if unicorn were to change for the better, Krona accepts her friendship," Krona announced. "We all will, as long as you're wiling to tell us the truth," Sunshine told Luster. "So, shall we have our group foundation day picnic?" Falcon asked. "Go on without me, I'm not so sure if I deserve to join you after what happened..." Luster told her new friends. "Luster, we all make mistakes," Buffer pointed out. "Plus, since you're new to friendship," Yellow Bright begun. "We all are going to help you learn just that!" Alkali cheerfully added. "Princess Twilight Sparkle?" Luster asked, turning to her mentor. Twilight nodded, "Luster Dawn, I can see that your new friends really are good friends, so I'm willing to let you hang out with them," "Of course, your Majesty," Luster bowed, a moment before Twilight's best friends joined the alicorn, singing the chorus of 'The Magic of Friendship Grows', as Twilight spread her wings. "How the Magic of Friendship grows," Twilight sang the final line, before sending Luster off, waving her student goodbye. In the present, Luster recalled, "After that, was the group foundation day picnic you all organised, Nature Bloom's animal show, the gift giving, then...I told you all about Princess Twilight Sparkle sending me here to study and learn friendship like how Celestia sent her," "We remember all of that, because it was yesterday," Buffer commented. "And just like what we know, we should like you for who you are, Luster, as in, not your identity and occupation," Sunshine added. "But it's really about what is in your heart," Alkali clarified. "And no matter what, we'll help you like a friend would," Falcon added. "Even if you all will keep getting involved in all the troubles I caused? As in, get overwhelmed alongside me, get crowds swarming over you because you're with me, all that?"" Luster asked. "Even if we have to face all that, we will." Yellow Bright replied. "You need help, Luster, and we're going to be the friends who will help you," Krona declared. "So, what do you say about us helping you through the school hours?" Volcano asked. "Well, I totally accept your help," Luster replied as she joined hooves with her best friends. In a montage, Luster Dawn went through every class with at least two or more of her nine best friends protecting her from the other students' attitude, until the students could act normal around her. Soon, a grand event was around the corner; the Special Connection Rainboom Anniversary. "The celebration that celebrates the day Rainbow Dash performed her first Sonic Rainboom and making all of Twilight's friends get their cutie marks!" Luster exclaimed, "I can't believe that I'm finally attending!" "And we can't believe that you never bothered to attend all this time," Volcano commented, causing Luster to blush in embarassment. "Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine," Evergreen assured. "Even though you get to be in charge of making sure everything goes well," Falcon added. "With our help," Buffer saluted. "Krona feels great to help out with best friends!" Krona proudly declared, "So where do we start?" "Well, Princess Twilight Sparkle wants all the deliveries to be delivered on time, all the fire-generating creatures in a place where they can't hurt any creature if they let out fire, sitting arrangements prepared, some creature checking on the music, and that's all," Luster explained. "Should we split up?" Nature Bloom asked, "Because that's a lot to take care of," "Don't worry, because I've already planned things out!" Luster declared, "Krona, and Buffer, you two will help with the deliveries, Evergreen, Volcano and Sunshine Rays, you three will find a place for the fire-generating creatures, Nature Bloom and Falcon Dive, you two will arrange the seats, Alkali and Yellow Bright, you two will check on the music." "Wow, you really know how to plan," Alkali pointed out. "She's Princess Twilight Sparkle's star student, how can she not?!" Yellow Bright stated. "Uh, guys? We might want to start doing and stop talking, because we're running out of time!" Volcano reminded. The creatures then rushed out of school and throughout town, with Luster checking on the events' location; the very area where Rainbow Dash performed her first Sonic Rainboom. 'Princess Twilight Sparkle' was there, watching the Wonderbolts perform. "Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Luster greeted. "Luster Dawn! How can you forget to bow before me?!" 'Twilight' asked in a rude and unpleasant tone, shocking the unicorn. "So sorry, your Majesty," Luster respectfully bowed before her 'mentor'. "So, what are you doing here? Isn't the event tomorrow?" 'Twilight' asked. "Don't you remember? You asked me to help with the preparations last night?" Luster asked. "Oh, right. I must have been too busy with other stuff to remember," 'Twilight' responded before asking, "So, Luster, how's everything going? Is every creature attending, at last?" "Well, even though I'm finally attending for the first time, I'm sure that there will still be some creatures who can't make it. But maybe they will next..." Luster began, before being cut off by 'Twilight'. "Luster! As Ruler of Equestria, I order you to spread the word; I want every last creature to be at the event, is that understood?!" "Yes, Your Majesty," Luster bowed. That evening, Luster and her best friends gathered at the location the event was taking place. "I can't believe that everything's so...amazing!" Evergreen commented. "Yeah, it is, except for one thing..." Luster sadly replied. "You alright, Luster?" Nature Bloom asked. "Not really. Princess Twilight Sparkle just acted a little...mean to me today," Luster explained. "What makes you say that?" Buffer asked. "When I forgot to greet her formally and bow before her, she was mad." Luster explained, "Then, when I told her that some creatures could not make it, she angrily ordered me to ensure every creature does make it, which is something I never see her do before!" "That does sound kind of...not right." Sunshine commented. "What should we do?" Yellow Bright asked. "Well, we can always ask Princess Twilight's friends," Volcano suggested, "They aren't really royalty, so maybe it's not a bad idea?" "Are you kidding?! They're Princess Twilight's friends!" Krona pointed out, "They can just tell her what we tell them!" "Or maybe we should...check on her?" Alkali suggested. "You mean...spy on her?" Luster asked. "Sorry Alkali, but spying on others isn't right; especially when it's spying on royalty!" Sunshine told her best friends. "But if something's weird or causing you to get suspicious, you should trust your feelings," Buffer reminded, "So if Luster thinks that there's something odd with Princess Twilight Sparkle, we should at least try to make sure everything's fine!" "Alright, so what are we going to do?" Falcon asked. "Try to find a magic lamp with a genie inside and wish that everything will be alright?" Yellow Bright joked. "Yellow Bright, this is not the time for jokes!" Sunshine Rays told the Earth Pony, "Get serious!" "Sorry, I'm used to it, to cheer creatures up." Yellow Bright apologised. "I don't think it's working in this situation." Volcano pointed out. "Luster is still not...cheered up." Nature Bloom added. "Calm down, Luster. Take a deep breath, and think." Evergreen instructed. Luster did as told, and was seen placing her left front hoof on her head to brainstorm, before the scene faded and changed. Later that night, the ten creatures, having Luster to teleport them to Canterlot, snuck pass the royal guards. Nature Bloom disliked how they had to act like sneaky thieves, but the others kept telling her that they were just going to check on Twilight. Volcano soon found Twilight's residence; her Canterlot tower. The creatures were shocked to find it only occupied by Twilight's sleeping Royal Advisor and Friendship Ambassador, Spike. Sensing something odd, Luster asked Nature Bloom to transform into a dog, to pick up Twilight's scent. As a dog, Nature Bloom sniffed 'Twilight' and soon found the 'Ruler of Equestria' in the throne room, mixing a green brew in a black cauldron, to their shock as Nature Bloom transformed back to her regular form. "This plan is going perfectly!" she sneered to herself, "Tomorrow, when every creature comes to that silly event, after Rainbow performs her rainboom, I'll cast my spell on them all, making them all my loyal subjects, and they will only have me to adore! Making me in complete and total control of all of Equestria and beyond!" 'Twilight' then laughed evilly as the ten creatures watch in shock. To be Continued...
