Rainbow Dash isn't bitter about the whole Mare-Do-Well incident. Or at least that's what she tells herself. Either way, she's not going to miss this chance for some harmless revenge pranks, and so she constructs a plan to prank all of her best friends, starting with Twilight Sparkle. All Dash needs is a quill and some paper.

This Hearts and Hooves Day is shaping up to be just like last year; Twilight won't come out of the library, and Rainbow Dash can't seem to come in. Sweetie Belle decides it's about time they got together. Together with her coltfriend Spike, the two set out to push the hopeless romantics together before the day is through. Though it might take a little less prompting than they suspect.

Rainbow Dash, on one of her usual visits to the library in pursuit of Daring Doo's adventures, is rather surprised by a series of sounds coming from Twilight's basement; finding one of her books to be quite disturbing, she decides to investigate. In doing so, she finds herself confronted by what appears to her to be a terrifying secret.

My first ponyfic. Please keep in mind that I don't speak English as my first language; neither do I have the slightest fluency in Latin. Feel free to correct my mistakes and help mend defects in my economy of style.

The second half of the story has been involuntarily rewritten, so I apologise if it seems rushed in places.

Rainbow Dash: the most confident, cool, radical, and Awesome pony in all of Equestria. With a reputation like that, one could stand to assume that nothing would possibly scare Ponyville's premier daredevil.

And one would be right!

In fact, it was with this confidence that Rainbow was setting off to ask out the absolute love of her life. She was calm, she was collected, she was the very definition of cool under pressure. Fear of rejection? Hay no! She was Rainbow Dash for Celestia's sake.

Rainbow Dash didn't get nervous.

When a freak reading accident causes Twilight to be admitted to the Ponyville hospital, Rainbow Dash is right by her side. Compelled by a sense of duty and repayment, she takes it upon herself to cheer up her friend.

An unusual storm falls upon Ponyville, leading to widespread destruction. Rainbow Dash is badly injured while fighting the storm and Twilight must take care of her until the storm ends. Twidash.
