It's possible that my fic might not even happen, it's just an idea I have been having. I also am considering doing a prequel series based off of Tron Uprising

A couple thoughts:

1. I don't love it, to be honest, but at the end of the day I've always thought it was odd that fanfic people think that fanfic should be held up on some sacred pedestal and can't be touched without explicit permission from the author, as opposed to the actual source material which we all rip off with impunity; I can't/won't stop you.

2. It feels a little odd to me to start planning a fanfic adaptation for a film that won't be released until the end of next year which we know nothing about beyond some casting and a barebones plot thread about a program being sent from the grid into the real world; you'd also have to do some real acrobatics/retconning to make it work as a direct sequel to PONY Legacy because I made it clear at the end of the story that Celestia, the only person who knows how to build the Gateway, destroyed it and permanently shut the System down with no intention of ever reviving it. Realizing that the System was a mistake and she didn't need it/shouldn't have it was kind of her whole character arc. But, see item #1; you do you.
