Twilight Sparkle time travels. She was TRYING to send a letter to Princess Celestia about to incoming return of Nightmare Moon. She DID travel about twenty-eight years into the future.

On her way to her parent's house one cold Hearth's Warming Eve Twilight Sparkle disappears. From Canterlot, from Ponyville and from the looks of it, Equestria. Her friends and family are worried for her but unknown to them she has been thrown back almost a thousand years for unknown reasons. As she tries to figure out how and why she sent there her time in the past begins to change and shape the future.

Twilight and her friends will have to work together to get her home.

This was planned almost completely at the end of season 3 so lots of newer canon history is ignored. Thus the beginning of this fic also set soon after season 3.

Slow burn Twilight/Celestia and background slow burn Pinkie/Luna. Other ships are as of right now undecided.

Princess Twilight, for all of her knowledge, didn't particularly know that much about Celestia or Luna's past. In an attempt to figure out more about her peers she digs up the infamous time travel spell. Jumping at the chance to gather first-hoof about the only other immortal ponies she dives head first into the past!

Finding that she has stumbled into helping the Princesses on a mighty quest she isn't hesitant to lend a helping hoof but her resolve is quickly tested when not all is what it seems and the past, and present, of Equestria is put at stake!

Follow Twilight, and the would-be Princesses, across the world as they track down dangerous artefacts, delve into dilapidated dungeons and avoid disaster in a race against time itself!

• Romance will, eventually, be between Luna, Celestia and Twilight.
• This story will include gratuitous amounts of cuteness at times.
• There will be action and a little dark here and there, but only because it's the past and fighting does occur. It won't be a regular thing, trust me.
• There is time travel and Twilight will be jumping around the timeline. But don't think about it too much!
• The AU tag is only there due to the Princesses still being there, as well as the whole world existing before Equestria thing.
• The world this story takes place in is: Equestria and Beyond. I absolutely love the detail which was put into this. Obviously there's parts not included, such as the Crystal Empire, etc.

Twilight and Starlight were in a relationship, a good enough relationship that was a strong bond. Though being a Princess of Friendship, she needed to know one other thing... Starlight's mother isn't who Twilight always thought she was. And eventually, she finds out the hard way, seeing Lavender Vine is actually an older version of herself!

This story is a sequel to My Faithful Student

After being trapped in the past by a botched spell. Twilight was almost free to go home before a tragedy struck. Now staying in the past with her two new daughters and a kingdom under her, Twilight Sparkle, the Eternal Queen, shares her time with her foals before her return to the present.

In the present, a pony finds a certain journal left behind from those Forty Long Years, a pony who wishes nothing but revenge upon the Eternal Queen. A pony who hopefully, after seeing all the trials and tribulations of the Queen, will learn that forgiveness is the answer to her troubles. Or at the very least, learn the name of the Queen to enact revenge upon her immortal being.

Love is felt in many different ways. Twilight loves her friends as friends; she would put her life on the line for any of them at the drop of a hat, and often does. She loves her family, and would go to whatever length needed to protect them and, if needed, help them in any way. She has loved as a lover, felt the tug of her heart for another pony, and the wish to always be in their embrace, never missing their body or voice. She has always kept these feelings separate.

When her dear friend, and undoubtedly family member Princess Celestia suffers an injury, she asks Twilight for help, and of course, Twilight is more than willing to assist in any way she can... at least, that's what she wants to tell herself. When the task at hoof requires loving a friend as a lover, things can get a little complicated.

The last time Twilight saw Starlight Glimmer, she threatened to kill Rainbow Dash when she was just a filly and ruin Twilight's life by going back in time. Only, when she failed to find Starlight in the past and returned home, Equestria wasn't a ruined wasteland, Ponyville was a lot bigger than she remembered, and all these new ponies in the castle were talking about some big pony they call Empress.

Stuck in a time not her own, with two mysterious ponies she's never met or heard of before, and Discord and Sombra at the full height of their power, will Twilight be able to prevent the mutual destruction of past and present Equestria?

The Dahaka are the Guardians of the Timeline. When something exists in the Timeline that should not be there, a Dahaka is sent to erase it.

When that which must be erased is being bolstered by Harmony itself and is in turn erasing something which should exist and creating multiple other temporal disturbances in the process, a Dahaka must make an effort to preserve that which should exist as a priority over erasing that which should not.

Luckily for Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, she is deemed 'essential' to the Timeline and effort must be made to preserve her as she is now, but the Dahaka must also complete its mission to erase. Good thing that cooperation is always an option.
