So there's about six posts at once I need to write — including a con wrap-up, and reviews for all the 80 Days crossover fics that have come in — but this is the most important to post quickly as I get everything unpacked and struggle to catch back up.
So here is a cool thing: On Sunday, outside of Quills & Sofas, we took a group photo of as many authors as we could round up.

We were getting all posed and the cameras were clicking when a small, energetic woman walked up and asked what we were doing. Informed it was an author photo, her face brightened up and she asked, "Oh! Can I join?" It was only once she'd settled in front and center that some of us started noticing her badge and our eyes went wide.
Yes, GM Berrow photobombed us.

This is only a fraction of the awesome authors and FIMFic folks I met at Bronycon, but it was great to put faces to the names!
Speaking of which ... I am making what I sincerely hope is a reasonable assumption: that if you made a voluntary effort to line up for an optional photoshoot, you're okay being identified by your FIMFiction name here. If that's not okay, tell me immediately (probably via PM, to better preserve your anonymity).
Also, I tried to pick the shot in which everyone looked their best, but if this one caught you blinking, here's an album with ~20 alternates (at somewhat lower resolution).
Finally, Soge and Majin Syeekoh asked to be photoshopped into the group shot. Any volunteers? 
Looking at those pictures (and the same conclusion could be drawn from any Brony author photo shoot at any con), I get the impression that if you evenly mixed pony fanfic writers and romance novel writers, you'd end up with about even gender distribution.
(Or just clone Bookplayer a bunch; I'm pretty sure she counts as both.)

Well, given that us writers aren't quite as well known as those that do the voices, what with given that the latter are the more consistent, public facing figures of the show, it's not totally surprising.

Hey, I recognized her. But I've seen her on panels.
I actually forgot something I wanted to get a commission for her. I'm going to have to see if a digital artist would be interested in drawing something. She mentioned something back at Everfree Northwest, and I've been meaning to (and forgetting to) commission it ever since.
Oh, well.
Oh come now. She's a fanfiction author. She just has a few more followers than the rest of us on Twitter.

The only thing I'm still salty about is that little to no effort was made to let everyone know about the exact time of the picture and thus several of us missed it. I only got a message from core five minutes before I arrived, and Pen Stroke for example had headed to his hotel instead.

I should note, my only involvement in this was being lucky enough to hand my camera to some dude who got a good angle and snapped 20 shots, so I ended up with enough pictures to post a semi-"official" one. I did not organize this. Nobody organized this, as near as I can tell. Someone just walked into Q&S and said we should take a group photo, and since it was Sunday and nobody had done so yet, they hit a cat-herding jackpot.
It's legit to be salty, because it was poorly handled — I'm just not sure who at. I think what needs to happen next year is to legitimately schedule a shot, probably Saturday, at a time when no other panels are going on — and get the word spread as far as possible. 4088538, are you still in charge of putting the room together? If not, who would be the best person to talk to to make this happen?
