For years now a creature wanders the world of Albion, with questions in his head and sand in his boots. The questions are rather simple: Where do I come from and where will I go? But how do they say? Sometimes, the journey is the reward.

The Empire is older than the humans. It was sealed a few 1000 years before Amissa Heaven was build.
Just how long will this story be?
5249077
Long. 9 Chapters, each with 4 acts, every act has 4-6 parts.
Ok, first (and slightly unpleasant) thing first:
I'm not that good with english but I think that there should be: faster.
There may be more errors, but I wasn't looking for them, in the end, it's not my job.
Why Thiemo is using swords in fight? Two swords! Why can't he use cudgel, or mace, or axe, or spear, or something that doesn't require at least few months of training? Why he picked second blade? Why not shield? Shield is a LOT easier in use than misericord, parrying dagger, sword-breaker, or whatever. Yes, it's heavy, but you'll learn blocking with it faster than fencing. Just duck behind it and stab whateverthat tries to approach you (a great simplification). There's a reason why hoplites are considered to be the best warriors of ancient era.
Even the best swordsman can be killed by peasant with a pitchfork. R.I.P. Geralt of Rivia.
I'm not an expert in medieval fighting techniques, but I know that if you wanted to go to battle with sword you needed to be rich [iron wasn't cheap (tittle-tale: most of the iron used in the Middle Ages came from space)] and have some training. In the end waving a sword and club are two different things (despite what we see in video games).
In spite of all my complaints I still found myself enjoy this chapter. It was good, but as said my boss: it could always be better. More Daering and Zarni! Write something about them because I want to know these two, I want to read why, when and where!
Thiemo is a thief?
Is Amyralis pregnant?
What 'bout our's protagonist request?
Will we ever see Miss Revealing again?
You mean mistakes, right?
When he changed the grip he was already in reach of Flash? Weapon adjustments should be done outside of range. You have just divided your attention away from your opponent which can be exploited, especially within measure and tempo.
He let go of his weapon! I don't care if you have a master plan that explains how doing that will cause the opponent to over commit to the block, you don't drop a resource like that. What if Flash decided to retreat to give himself more time to defend from the second attack? What if Flash decided to riposte with that parry? Thiemo just opened his left side which he squared his body to get in that uppercut with his left sword (no longer in hand). The time it would take to get his right to bear a defense is too short to get away from a simple thrust from Flash. He wouldn't be able to backpedal fast enough either. If Theimo kept his blade in hand, he would be able to parry the counter away by keeping blade contact. Also, keeping blade contact with his off hand would also provide the opening he wanted by using his greater mass that's already in forward motion to keep Flash locked down.
Tempo also seems to be a concern here. If his first attack was supposed to come in as a way to prevent a parry from the main attack, they should be done in the same tempo. Having your attacks at different tempo gives the opponent time to defend from one then the other. Having both attacks come in at once makes them more dangerous (if done correctly).
Though the description doesn't go into footwork or his stance here, I'll assume it to be an issue as well considering how the fight ended with Thiemo on his ass. Sounds like he overstepped with his attacks.
Let's get into measure here as well since we see a fight between a tall humanoid going against an equine with limited reach. Thiemo has a massive reach advantage here. Strategically, Thiemo should be playing attrition here and letting Flash do the attacking while he keeps his blades pointed at Flash and threatening, waiting to counter while Flash tries to get past the wall o' blades. Thrusts should be implemented here, as well as precision cuts from the end of the blades. He should not be coming in for a large slash which will open up to a counter and allow for Flash to step in for tempo control.
There is more here but I have to get ready for a meeting right now. Good luck to Thiemo and his swordsmanship. Looks like he has a long way to go.
Gute Arbeit! Ich freue mich jedes Mal, wenn ich sehe, dass ein neues Kapitel online geht. Schön, dass es hier noch andere Deutsche gibt.

I summed everything up as one mistake. To put it simple: Thiemo tries to fight 'cool' or 'anime style'.
Will he ever be a master of swords? Most likely not. Why? Amy did mention that he is clumsy. He hasn't the talent for such weapons. He would be better of with a staff but a staff is not as cool as a sword.
5249171 Thanks for pointing that out. Take note, tio!
5249231 Yep, Thiemo sucks ass when it comes to sword fighting.
He looked away from his opponent. He also swung wide and left himself open for attack.
I never considered him a fighter. I always saw him as the rogue who uses tricks to win and attacks from the unexpected angle. He will not win in a stand up fight and knows it so be uses the advantage of ground, magic, and surprise. The fact that he's attempting straight up fighting with a "cool" style seems to indicate he neither knows his opponent nor knows himself. (Yes Sun Tzu reference :) )
There is a reason the trope Cool but Impractical exists, Theimo. Brother should stick to the staff, maybe get himself a spear.
.....you know, I can't help but wonder if there won't be any other transformations or gods that show up in future chapters...
I was trained in Kenjitsu, so I might be wrong (seeing as he's likely using a western method), but I would say trying to hold his off-hand weapon in a reverse grip would be his mistake. It limits range and mobility, hindering its usefulness.
*Takes a breath*. " His stance was horrable and off balance. Holding a sword back along the arm is inviting it to cut your own arm if hit hard enough. Two weapon fighting looks good but is horrable in practice. He would of been better with a heavy basket hilted dagger to help his balance and give an item to parry with. A shield would be better.
He needs to spend time learning to use his mind as well as body to fight. No mater how good the weapon, it is ultimately the one using it who determines the effectiveness. It is also advised to learn to be compatent in a variaty of weapons in case your preferred one is unavailabe and you have to acquire one from the field of combat.
Fore instance, my prefered weapon is a double moon bladed heavy battle axe I call Choppy. Outside of Choppy, I train with a war hammer, spear, staff, mace, wing blades, katana(I spent time in Neaghpon in my youth), and most resently the rapier.
5251172 Two bladed fighting style actually exist...
And also, it's not as impractical as they say.
If you know what you're doing and you have the right amount of strength and dexterity, you can use two blades quite effectively.
Edit: Still, his fighting style fit more with something along the line of pole weapons.
Act 16.4 to be precise. The countdown has started!
But if I have a wish free then it would be this: Please get an editor for the German version!

To make it worse, I have one ^^
5251613
I wonder... isn´t a lot of Celestia´s hatred for humans the consequence of redirecting her sister´s own blame on them?
5251613 I have no words and memes to describe my current feelings.
5251685
They corrupted her cute little baby sister. What else?
Dual sword style... Reminds me of an anime called "Sword Art Online" and "One Piece".
Anyway, another job well done! See ya next chapt, capt!
Oh and I forgot, will you add another human which was a friend of Thiemo back on earth, which he thought he died of an accident but in fact he was the first teleported to Equestria?
By the way, you should see this chinese movie about kung fu called,"Kung Fu Hustle" it has some awesome kung fu fighting scene. Some of the styles it used was The Eight Spears style, Iron Fist style, and Twelve Kick style.
PS
LOL if you're not gonna watch it ^^ please don't bother to reply with a "Sure, I might gonna watch it...soon...maybe...I don't know...perhaps..." or something similar like that. XD
5255988
First, no old friend will suddenly pop up.
And I've already seen Kong-Fu Hustle. Who hasn't?
this story is translated from German, right? i was wondering where i could find somebody who could translate my story's into German. i have tried using dictioary.com, but then i wont be able to find where paragrahs begin and end.
He held the blade backwards?
Well, he doesn't have the skill to wield a blade reversed, and his opponent was skilled, ergo, wielding the blade in reverse and trying to block with it was one major mistake. He also didn't watch his opponents feet, or in this case, hooves, On top of this, he underestimated his opponent, which one must NEVER do, but his greatest mistake was pride. He overestimated himself, which is what really led to his downfall. I could list more, but these were just the most glaring. Mind you, even though I am a member of the SCA, I am by no means an expert, or even a novice, with a sword. I'm practically a neophyte. But, I did see these mistakes.
For some reason, I wish Thiemo was using a calvary sabre. God...I love calvary sabres, they just look cool...
Man i just noticed that im quite lonely in fimfiction. Feels like im the only one here
His first mistake with the florentine style is thinking of his offhand as the only blocker. Borge weapons block and both attack, and it is through those used that a true master can outwit a smaller opponent.
If I read rightly, his second mistake was switching the offhand grip so the sword points, as it severely limits the power of the blows he can deal, though if he knew what he was doing he could use it as one would a buttspike on a larger weapon to deliver a very unpredictable blow, especially for quadrupeds who should have no way of holding suc a weapon.
His third mistake was holding one of the swords behind his back. They should always remain between himself and his opponent.
His forth mistake was letting go of his sword. Never release a. Grip on your weapons it is far more likely that you drop it rather than catch it.
His fifth mistake was not starting in a proper stance, as his footwork is nearly as important as correctly holding the weapons.
His sixth mistake was not using the motion of his body to put power behind his blows, and use his arm and wrist to guide the blow.
His seventh mistake was not following through with his blows, as the act of stopping the blow slows it down and makes it easier to block, and also allows the opponent to counter attack as flash sentry did.
Flash also made some mistakes, mainly with the naming of parts of a sword, for example a double is found on rappers and foils, but not so much on the thicker longs words and bastard swords.
There were more mistakes that both probably made, but I'd have to see a video of them moving to call them out. In case you couldn't tell, I love swordplay. I wonder if the crystal empire would have center embossed round shields.
Untracked.
Favorited just for that line! Not that it hasn't been a great ride so far, but that cemented it!
