The Dragonborn has, by that point, likely stepped into Sovngarde itself, read an Elder Scroll or three, communed with various Daedric Princes and killed dozens of dragons. Of course she isn't fazed in the slightest.

Also, low and mid-level spells are still useful late-game, I believe they get a power boost proportional to your level.

She's apprenticed to an imperial battle mage so she knows a few spells that most wouldn't learn for a while, think of her as a slightly more experienced level 4 to 5

I'll track this because to are the one author in this genre who does what I love.
You don't ignore Equestria! At least, that was the case with Dark Wanderings. You let us know what was going on while Twilight adventured, and you even told us what happened when she got back (even without the sequel, you still had her return). As long as you keep with this philosophy, then I'm sure this will be a wonderful story.
At the very least, I'd like you to include her return.

Personally I tend to favor a purely physical character and bash peoples faces in with swords and shields.
Though Frost spells are bloody annoying. . .

Okay, read the chapter and I must say, I really like it so far.
I love that you had Twilight get paired up with a ferocious warrior in Wanderings, and now you have Dash getting paired up with an egghead.
You really know how to set up interesting character interactions.
Also, you said we'll find out why the dragon was unaffected in the next chapter?

Not to complain about Skyrim lore, but most people in the game say 'thank the eight' as the Altmeri Dominion has forbidden Talos worship in Skyrim...

Oh and this is proven by the wiki but J'zargo, the Khajiit mage follower from the College of Winterhold levels up with you to level 81 and so is the toughest follower in the game, but sadly he's not essential. Still though his lines are hilarious if you use them right.
