I've always said one thing about who I am as a person. "Eternally in pursuit of the goodness in the heart." It's what called me to the show. It's why I'm here now. And it's what I love to write about.

Sequels1

E

There exists a magical sword stuck in a stone deep within a forest. All who visit try to take it for themselves, but none prove worthy to pull it from me. As the stone that sword is embedded into, I feel sorry for them.

I don't get to choose whose worthy. Most don't even know I'm there. But I've been witness to every attempt. I know the heart of the creatures who visit and what they wish for. Most come with heartfelt desires of heroism and grandeur. Some few come to prove themselves, hoping to be better than they were yesterday.

And while many a kind soul has appeared that I personally would've proven worthy had I the option, still yet, none have had the strength to pull it. And now here comes the best of my champions. A small boy, with the most heroic of dreams and the most heartfelt of desires.

And the deepest wish to be better than he was yesterday.

I love this, this is amazing. I wanna read it again.

Gotta love the works that draw you in with impression of fairy tale atmosphere, those are few and far between. Thank you for this

This reminds me of my DnD character. Nicely done.

Very inspirational, I realy love this kind of take on the Sword in the Stone type of adventure!

Little Pipsqueak gets a fun story with a sweet moral from a magical (ghostly?) rock. I love the cool twist concerning the sword near the end!

Mighty kind, everyone. And much love! This was just a small exercise in storytelling, lest I get rusty.

Half of the intention for this one was purely for world-building. I used some familiar places and character to tell this story. A pond in a grotto, a naturally growing forest, and a creature made of living stone. Perhaps the Heromaker's power has extended further than this.

I have a bad habit of wanting things to connect. Anywho, thank you too, GJ, for leaving a wonderful comment.

I know what you mean. I kinda have this habit of making my horse stories connect to each other in some way myself. :rainbowlaugh:

Any chance for a multi chapter story of this?, it sounds interesting.

For sure!

Although, I’m more likely to continue Pint-size’s story through one centered around Pip, in case Pint was what interested you.

The stone itself has already made an appearance in two of my previous stories, albeit not with speaking lines or an important role like this, but going into the future it’ll definitely be a recurring character.

This was a nice story heartwarming and hopeful lesson for a young colt and maybe us older ones

A cute little story of perfect length- not longer than it needs to be, not too short to feel too brief.
