One consisting of strange colorful creatures, who may or may not be aliens, robots in disguise or simply runaway products of a government black site biolab. It's hard to tell for sure, but hopefully they could help Anon find his way home... once he figures out how to ask.

I like this, I would like to see more.
This looks very promising so far. Although charging the smartphone by working out the USB voltage is one thing, it might be far easier for the battery itself to be discovered. not for the Lithium design, but that it would work pretty well with a pair of very basic wet lead acid cells that Twilight might have laying around as measuring standards? Its very difficult otherwise to place her gear given all the magitech Vinyl seems to have. but that could just be due to her having a Transformer for a DJ deck.
Communication. Which symbolic representations to use and how much detail to bother actually going into.

Theres a trick with pezo electricity and ultrasonic transducers that easily match proposed variations on operations of horns that give long range and larger sized objects, but thats for if anon ever remembers.
The best example he currently has for latchng onto the idea is going to Vinyls club and being pushed around by her Loud Music. And then maybe seeing bats and realising he cant hear their echo location due to ultrasonics. The trick is if he can put the two together and become Equestrias James Watt.
Seven chapters in and he FINALLY figures out the ponies aren't animals.

What I definitely like this story for is that there’s only like one other I read were we don’t know what the ponies are saying and I think I like how you written it since instead of a computer like language (yea a story had that which surprised me), it’s just sounds which is short and easy to understand what they might be saying.
I can’t wait to see what silly Shanaghans Anon will find himself in like how does he ask were the bathroom is? What about food like meat 🍖 how would he explain to a pony he can’t eat hay and might want a chicken 🐓

I think that was retarded of them to do what she did and break her phone. I think having the pair just glance over the fact they broke both his property and a piece of technology from another world they’ve never seen before was a misstep. I know they don’t know it’s alien technology but it’s still something never seen before and that should’ve been enough to set off Twilight’s curiosity. They also should feel pretty awkward over the fact they burnt his belong infront of him.
Quite the misstep from celestia, here clearly a intelligent being trying to communicate, and not only does s he damage this creature property but she injures him, he could be a ambassador from a new species as far as she knows and her first act towards said ambassador it property destruction and harming him

Be intresting if Twilight tries to do any chemical analysis on the remains, theres combustion products in there that would get that placed declared a a disaster area under some regulations.

They are canonical, a regular western style toilet is shown in one of the Discord episodes in the background when a house is lifted off its foundation.

I don't know how long the story will end up (no idea how to estimate things like that), but there will be an ending.
Theres something wildly different in the vocalisations between the species, as if Twilight and Spike sound so different to Anon, then someones messing with Bablefish or other 3rd party intermediate translation, either symbiote, paracite, innate or innoculation spell or Harmonic crystal field etc?
Maybe its like to Twilight, Anons voice only has the envelope and not the carrier of the signal, or she is only picking up the AM or the FM, not both? but wouldnt that make Maud closer to speaking like Anon? Fluttershy cant pick up on his approximate meanings due to simian relations, which seems to be closest match is Storm Kings Yetis? Which no equine except Tempest can understand?
