Speaking as someone who fought two people at once in the fifth grade to defend his mother's honor, I completely understand.

In all, this is a fascinating concept, but it doesn't do much more than present the concept and leave some intriguing questions unanswered. Why can Flash perceive that loose magic? What, if anything, does he get out of this? What does this Sunset think of her other half rebuilding her ego? Given the JJBA inspiration noted in the author's note, can anyone else actually perceive this Sunset?

Don't get me wrong, there's a fascinating scenario here. I'd just like to see it explored in greater detail. (I know, I'm one to talk. )

She's been even more protective since the Fall Formal and the 'unexpected gas explosion' that interrupted the night.

i mean considering all the life-threatening shenanigans that go on at CHS, Flash’s mom hasn’t seen anything yet!

'Flash in the pan' hadn't exactly been a great nickname in middle school, and he'd rather it didn't follow him to high school.

Sitting in his filth, the teen lets out a low moan of frustration. The day was just getting worse by the second.
“Hey there, lover.”

She was tall, probably seven feet at a guess. Height was always going to be difficult to measure accurately when the girl's boots were fused to her body. She towered over him though, no argument there. The width was even more of a problem. Sure, she was slim, with an almost over-exaggerated hourglass figure prominently displayed, but then you had to consider the bat wings. Her otherworldly features didn't end there, crimson skin, black sclera, glowing blue pupils, the list went on and on.

“You are, aren't you?” He said after a quiet few moments, peering at the broken creature with some discomfort. The Sunset who'd left tonight was different. Quiet, tearful, remorseful. Yet she wasn't the same. The passion behind those beautiful eyes of hers had been snuffed out, seemingly torn away into this... this thing.

oh nice, i’m not the only one that noticed a personality change in post-reform Sunset that goes beyond mere personal epiphany! that Sunset actually was edited into the protagonist we get later is def a great concept to explore
