Whatever it takes to save the world. The principals doubtlessly know how hard it is to get people to stop worshiping you. I'm sure Twilight will earn more Cowbells to wash the taste out of her mouth.
This is a great little idea-story... character-based humor, general observations about people and history, an ethical dilemma, and a humorous solution, all under 2600 words.
Cute—and I pretty much enjoy anything that suggests overwhelming confidence in the solution to the sunrise problem is less justified than many think. (Also h/t to 10948546 for getting me over here.)
