I'm studying political science, and I've got a heck of a lot of extracurriculars lined up. I'm blocking off at least a few hours every week for this, though, so hopefully I can crank out chapters at a decent rate.
Could use a bit of paragraph spacing(indents or newlines) to be easier on the eyes, but great!

Fixed! And I do have some chapters written, plus I intend to set aside at least a few hours a week for writing. At the very least, I'd like to do a chapter a week, hopefully more.
Thanks for the positive feedback, everybody. Hopefully this story stays high-quality throughout. Even I don't know where it'll end up at this point, so it should be fun to see who ends up with who.

So, this chapter doesn't really have a ton of happy to balance the awkwardness and unpleasantness, but don't worry, next chapter will be more upbeat. Late night posts are magic, apparently. If I'm really feeling productive this weekend, y'all might get a second chapter on Sunday, but no promises. As always, feedback is appreciated, and I hope you guys enjoy it.
'Jackie' is likely a nickname that either AJ's parents or RD used for her at some stage.... Based on it being grief rather than emotional trauma, I'd have to go with the parent theory.
Anyway, nice work with this.
Nice to see AJ appreciating Twilight in a new light, though AJ's self sacrificing nature will likely prove to be a problem for any potential romance. 
Regardless, an excellent read.
I've always enjoyed AJ's and Twilight's relationship on the show... There's nothing romantic about it (obviously), but it's noticeable that they rely on each other a lot and are the first ones they turn to when they need help. As such, I really enjoyed their interactions this chapter... I think their enthusiasm for working together came through, as well as their quirks and differences.
Weeeee. This is awesome! I'm giggling like an imbecile over here and I couldn't be happier! Some excellent allusion to AJ's past in here, enough that you kind of think you know what happened, but just maybe, just maybe you don't. Loving it.

Loved this chapter! The pacing and buildup are perfect. Twilight is often portrayed in fanfics as clueless outside of booksmarts. Here, it's more believable: inexperience with romance plus the fact that no one's sure she's into mares keeps the disbelief in check.
