8093067 I don't know what you mean by "meme", but the Caribou is a race that seems to have cropped up originally, and almost exclusively, for the "Fall of Equestria" fandom universe. As you can probably guess from here, the Caribou manage to take over Equestria making all females their sex slaves and all males either brainwashed or convinced to follow their ideals.
As you can probably guess, not every fan was a... fan of this universe and many "caribou get their assess handed to them" fics like this one came up. These generally fall into the "insanely powerful force comes and saves/frees Equestria" category, the "Equestria overthrows their oppressive rulers" category, or the "Caribou invasion completely and utterly fails" category. This story obviously falls into the first category.

What started this Fall Of Equestria fad? Was it a porn thing someone decided to blow into a massive thing, or is this some Chatoyance-tier weirdness?
8094085 I don't know the whole story but much like the Displaced or Fallout Equestria, Fall of Equestria was a story idea that was open enough to allow multiples stories and AU's of the AU's. I personally don't like the universe, I find it disgusting, and the main reason I put this story in a "Fall of Equestria" universe is because I felt the caribou are basically the MLP equivalent of the Nazis: nobody will feel bad about them being killed.

Can't argue with you in that statement, it's a shame pictures about that universe are still being made and posted on the web, and I think that universe should never exist at all on the web. I am glad that there are those against that type of story universe and find it disgusting.

Most stories about the universe either have the caribou get utterly destroyed, or are horror stories about life in the fall. There aren't really porn ones any more, the porn is usually artwork. The caribou are always antagonists in stories.
The most of this story is: No matter who you are, no matter how much per you have, of someone steps forth to oppose you and they look like the cover art of a heavy metal album, your picture is about to show up on a milk carton.
