It's Spike's birthday, and his six best friends have promised to give him whatever present he wants. And not just any promise - a Pinkie Promise. An unbreakable promise.
Big mistake.
Now Spike is asking all of them to trade places with each other, to try living like each of their friends, for an entire day - and they have to act just like their friends, too. Also, yes, he does have a camera... so no one will be forgetting this anytime soon. Even more disturbingly, if they give up before the day is over, they have to pay Spike a fee of ten bits.
Applejack is furious. Rainbow Dash is trying (and failing) to stay casual. Twilight is thinking about just how many things could go wrong. Rarity is appalled. Fluttershy is downright terrified. Even Pinkie Pie is disenheartened.
Thirty days. A whole month of weirdness, mishaps, surprises, hilarity, and - in every case - failure.
This is going to be a wild ride.

7872317 They are going to take turns. Each of them has to spend one day as one of the other 5. That is actually smart of Spike, as if was all 6 of them being one of the others all on the same day, true that would only take 5 days, but it would be 5 days of utter chaos for Ponyville. By each doing it one at a time, it takes 30 days, but that is 30 days of minor confusion. Minor confusion is much preferred to utter chaos for the citizens of Ponyville.

Does the sudden AJ/Dash shipping free kiss add something to this fanfic? And/Or is it for the sake of it, out of the blue and without background?
About the chapter in general, having to tend to the bakery, re-bake everything and taking care of the foals at the same time sure was too much for one pony. I think even Pinkie couldn't. The Cakes should get an oven who can be set on stopping itself as the timer gets to 00:00!

Nah, it doesn't really add anything, I have to admit I just added that for my own enjoyment. Although in my defense it's not entirely out of nowhere - I did mention in the first chapter that there would be a tiny bit of appledash shipping.
You could be right. It does seem like a lot of work even for pinkie pie.. but, I mean, not every day would be like that. This day in particular, Twilight just got really unlucky because the Cakes had to leave.

Ahhhh, I see. Well, I'm trying not to mention it too much. This chapter I really only mentioned it very briefly so I could make the joke about turning rainbow into a stammering puddle. In future chapters, I'll really only touch on it every so often and there will probably be chapters where I don't actually mention it all. I guess I could try to just emphasize how strong their friendship is rather than putting so much emphasis on them being marefriends, though.

They do have an out. They just have to give Spike 10 Bits for each one they feel there is no way they could pull off. So, Spike could earn 300 Bits if they all decide to quit. But I don't think AJ or Dash would quit. Except Dash as Fluttershy. She'll have the 10 Bits ready for that one to come up. (Repeat of the Cutie Mark Mixup? Those animals tried to cook her!) Just like how Fluttershy would not want to deal with being Pinkie. (too many ponies to deal with)

I'm not letting Angel and his mob get another chance at me), that means Spike picks again. Thus Ponyville does NOT get a break from the craziness, but it will be over a day sooner.
I also forsee that AJ as Rarity will go a bit different that it did during the Cutie Mark Swap. After all, we know that AJ can do the high society voice and manners when she needs to.
The craziest ones will be when they have to be Twilight. Especially Rarity. She'll WANT to act as she thinks a Princess should, but that's not how Twilight acts. Will Spike fault her for it, or will he be too lenient with the mare he adores?
