Anyways, great beginning chapter! I usually don't like to read M/M because for some reason a lot of the ones I find are clop, and that makes it way too awkward for me. But this was a very cute, D'awwwww kind of story right from the start. And I'm never one to correct people on grammer and spelling for some reason, but...
"The two small colts gawked in aw, they would never have thought they were coming to a place so big!" I think you mean "awe" here. That's just how I've ever seen it spelled. But anyways, keep writing this story, I look forward to more!

I definitely like how natural this story is. Everything seems realistic. Appleblooms level of homophobia is a little extreme but still believable. My only issue is i dont like how you generalized "rednecks" with being homophobic. Being from the south (although i would not call myself a redneck) i know plenty of people who most would consider "rednecks" who are fine with gay relationships. Ignorance can come from both sides, and this is one case where I think it sounds a bit ignorant to generalize in a non playful manner like that. Even if it is just a fan fiction. Anyway, with that mini tirade out of the way, I eagerly await your next chapter.

I'm enjoying the writing and the characterisation of Pip and Featherweight but I'm finding Applebloom's reaction to be a bit over-the-top, especially because in the show she is always the understanding/least judgemental one. Otherwise keep up the good work!

There's nothing wrong with the chapter itself, though your characterization of Apple Bloom feels insanely out of character. There's a big difference between being taught to hate something, and then using that to go out and make an elaborate plan to cause them to suffer.

I think the formatting might need a teensy change during Appleblooms tirade, about the hate and whatnot.
I just cannot see Apple Bloom acknowledging "Granny Smith had taught her to hate, and hate she would.". I'm not sure how else it could be put, but openly acknowledging the hate she was raised with? Doesn't fit well, with either Apple Bloom or with homophobes in general (In my experience.)
Although that might've just been me misinterpreting that as Apple Blooms thoughts
