Hmmm. Celestia's being pretty crass and swears a surprising amount in this story.
Plus, the way she talks about her brother is... weird, considering how little she minded when Luna tried to turn Equestria into living hell and/or kill every single life on the planet.
Is that Alicorn favouritism..? It kinda looks like it.
Addendum: Well, considering what happened between Duneyrr and Luny, it's understandable why Celestia would blame him rather than her. Still, though, the way she talks seems a little at odds with how she's usually protrayed in the show.

6630249 he still has power, just not the ultimate i-have-no-chance-of-losing-because-i-have-an-unfair-advantage one that the collar would give him.
Also, Luna have her fair amount of struggles, i'm sure. she's only pointed out as not having them because it's what the others think, not knowing her properly and all. it's their hopes, really, that the collar will make it a walk in the park for the alicorn. it doesn't mean she won't have problems when the time comes to face off against the unicorn.
i won't be writing that story myself, but it is something i know someone else will do at some point.

Okay, so best laid plans, fooled by some disgruntled servant.
Still, that no one considered, that the collar of suck critical importance, placed in a room accesible to anyone who would manage to get past 2 guards guarding it(only 2... what) might have been a decoy?
But hey, all is well that ends well. Nice story, interesting to read.
