before anyone says 'molestia,' i like to think of it as 'sex-dollestia'
two chapters left
7641257 HOLY BUTT-NUGGETS! A new chapter in 3 days?! End times must be coming.
I think I know how this can be solved.
That 'original shard of power'? I bet it's still around. And I bet it has one wish left in it.
I know it's probably just a coincidence because of the timing but I'm getting a lot of westworld here in this chapter.
Destiny, Westworld, forced truth telling according to a persons viewpoint? Yup, Celestia gone down the hole.
Reminds me of something I once heard about origin story of the Demonic Hordes, where the Succubus Lilith was the first True Demon created, for precicely these reasons, except because of her design and her reason for creation being more 40k style, she used herself to research, discover and create the Demonic horde to take revenge against her Masters, which totally shredded what was left of any morality etc he might have had, true Chaotic Evil.
That entire back story, starting with the generation sequence from Civilisation. Underlays all but a few variations used in stories, and effectively noon gets it right because they cut corners?
The biggest problem Pascal has even if he gets the Last Third Wish, is if he went for everything back to where it was before, the Masters would be back etc. About the only thing I can think of, roughly, is if he Wished for Everyone to be able to enjoy themselves and Others, in any way, as they Are, to the best of their abilities, if they want to, at any given moment.
But Im no laywer.
The best Wish loading I can come up with myself is, I wish that it has always been, that all know and beleive its perfectly normal for..... whatever something is going to be. But this leads to entire tomes of legalese.
If she rejected him why would she not be able to resist with 1000 years of this I would think that she'd be able to Resist, and honestly I see Luna stepping in and knocking some sense into her, cause with as much Friendship Celestia has pushed onto Twilight she's being awfully hypocritical
...
How did we get all the way here from wish-fulfilling mind-control smut?
Well, this story has happy endings listed, so I'm still pulling for one of those.
Wow... All of this really makes Pascal look like an ass now. You, sir, did not disappoint.

and today i learned westworld exists, holy shit
how do i convince you all that the basic idea of this has been in mind from the very beginning
What about Discord? How does he fit into this? Why can't he change Celestial?
Been a very long time since I was this invested in a story, fanfic or otherwise. Cant wait to see how things wrap up!
I came for the 'plot,' and stayed for the story. Good god this is a good fic.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~!!!!!!!!!
Oh wow that was great chapter! I've been waiting for soooo long to see this happening! lol! And that rhyme at the end was perfect.
7641265 He is working hard... And I love every moment of it!
Mmmph best chapter I hope we get a total perversion route ending. Even if it's just an alternative ending
Wow, this came out sooner than I expected, and it was nothing like what I'd expected. So this universe is fundamentally different from the others, from the very conception. That's really interesting.
It's apparent that Celestia, even when pushed to the absolute brink, will not kill someone. She'll do her damnedest to let his magic eat him, but taking that last step was just too far for her - I appreciate that. I'm not sure what Luna's motives are, since the Normal has warped her judgement into encouraging rather than preventing Celestia's relapse into a depraved sex addict. They probably make sense, but a sense that's been bent.
So, sex-dollestia. There's something terribly, terribly hot about her being completely unable to control herself, so completely abandoned. It's sad in some ways, and her breaking like this clearly isn't good, but part of me does want to have him just out-and-out enslave her and take over. I doubt things are going to get that hardcore, though. I don't believe in the binary choice, but I'm not sure what the third way is, yet, assuming it's not 'Pascal is fucked to death', which seems to be a real possibility.
7641501 Well the concept has been in human mind for quite a long time, and a lot of fears and phobias cross cultures.
That said the way you approached it is much more than any story has ever did, (and I do not mean the sex, that happened before) but the fact that you made a character struggling for his place in the world for ill or worse he is trying, and now we get to see why he had to. It isn't the idea that has to be original but the way you travel that concept, and here you executed that brilliantly! (i never read or seen Westworld, so, I cannot say entirely but EH this is more entertaining!)
Gentle breeze guide you home, and warm smile welcome you.
Probably the best 'clopfic with a plot' on fimfiction.
Step your game up you shits.
Damn, this is intense. I hope there's a way to resolve things peacefully.
I was worried this would be a pure Tyrant Celestia matter. It still kind of is, but more... Benevolent Dictator Celestia. Who is trying to hold on to herself just as much as Pascal is.
In fact, they're in very similar situations. They both want to stay in control of themselves, they're both victims of spellwork that gnaws at their senses of self and will turn them into a parody of what they were, neither of them is responsible for this happening... No wonder Celestia is so terrified. Pascal is her Normal.
7641799
Agreed. You can see Celestia desperately trying to avoid having to come face to face with him, but she also can't truly make herself just end him by her own hands. She can't do it.
Oh. Oh dear. I wonder if Blueblood threw himself at Pascal's feet because he's Celestia's descendant and got hit harder by their induced Human Fetish than even the other ponies.
Holy fuck, that was one hell of a plot dump. Very, very satisfying wait after what, almost exactly a year of buildup after entering Canterlot to this very talk.
I think it's safe to say that this chapter was not at all what I was expecting.
Seeing Celestia in such a similar situation to Pascal's—one of trying to retain her sense of self despite magic beyond her control pushing her to her limits—was really jarring, and I find it rather ironic that her very existence as a wanton slave to her lusts with a figure to match, and a prisoner in her own body combine into being a turn-off for me. Instead, seeing what the Masters have done to her, and her subsequent relapse into sexual depravity is nothing short of tragic. I can't help but pity her for all the emotional and mental suffering her existence has brought her, and how Pascal's mere presence in her world has undone all the progress she's made in recovering from it all.
I sincerely hope that Pascal manages to pull through and "save" Celestia from herself, and hopefully fix all the damage their former masters caused, if not for the whole of Equestria, then at least for the sun princess' sake. Leaving Tia as she is would be akin to torture, and she doesn't deserve that at all.
I expected lots of sex, big boobs, and all that. But not like this.

Discord is powerful, but the Masters were the GODS of this world. The Masters created everything as they saw fit. It doesn't take much to assume that their magic far outclasses anything Discord could conjure up in an effort to unravel it.
At the end of the day, Discord is just as much a part of Equestria as the princesses and ponykind are, and therefore subject to the same rules and limitations. The ancient humans are beyond those bounds.
wow, honestly I didn't expect that at all. Was thinking that human came and shaped the world the Celestia and Luna was ruling, but this is good as well.
I do like how this chapter turned out. But I especially like this bit here.
Here's the thing about Calling and Knowing.
They are two different things.
Celestia was already playing the abnormal card from the get go or at least the out of the norm. So she may not be effected the way she expected. In this case the whole mind break normal she was used to. Even that can be challenged on whats normal. As this whole story said that she can't go against her own destiny. Just like the guy from Blueblood's party who's cutie-mark was to do his job. Celestia's is still of the sun. It's not going against her nature or destiny so... Parcels Normal can work on her but he just needs to make the right connects to effect her.
Which as it seems it all ends down to word play.
Kind of funny really.
I hope you decide to push the two chapters to a third to give us the bad ending with him taking full control. I'm curious to see how that turns out and who he has as his main harem. I mean I figure Spitfire, Trixie, Moondancer, Derpy, Lyra, Bon Bon, the main six, the princesses, and that's all I could figure out so far.
Hopefully you post the next chapter soon.

You know, considering that Celestia really doesn't want to give in in the first place, can't Pascal do that whole hypnosis thing again and go "Boom! Humans now repulse you."
Unless it's so ingrained, it works like a cutie mark?
@Fable
I assume her outright hatred is because to her, Pascal is a walking talking slave collar.
On a side note, I seriously question the logistics of living with 6 foot breasts. Not even weight, with that buoyant thing. Just this pair of dangling jugs just hanging there getting in your way.
The only solution I can see is if Luna figured out a way to let Celestia rapidly see his memories and all the compromises he had made.
7641431
How is she being hypocritical? Friendship between ponies and other species created on this world, yes - all creations and thus victims of The Masters. Not with the race (humans) that created her to be a helpless sex slave and serve them with without any shred of true identity, freedom, dignity, or willpower. Humans proved themselves to be enemies, not people who could be allies and friends. Instead of thinking about this as some faux moral outsider, think about it from her position. If she hadn't been rejecting his very existence since she learned about him she likely would have been on his cock within the same day and unable to regain her sanity as long as he was in Equestria. The rest of his life the senior leader of Equestria and ruler of the sun would have been just like she is now. Even if he's not one of the Mages, he's still a human - and just because he doesn't intend wrong doesn't mean his very existence isn't causing harm here. In a way, he's still the enemy, until a way can be found out of this.

These guys get what's going on in this chapter, bravo you two.

Okay, two things I'm wondering:
That's funny, I can remember in the beginning that, to the ponies, Pascal positively stank and needed to wash every single day.
Wait, hold on... earlier you said that the wizards "raised their hands out into space, weaving them around. Magical energy spread forth, moving the stars closer together until they collided in a brilliant explosion." Seeing that they could move stars, multiple, how does Celestia being able to move just one star (the sun, if that wasn't obvious) make her surpass them in power? Am I missing something here?
7647154
I don't know about Pascal's stench, but it's rather obvious to me that the creators didn't want their creations to have any power.
7647154 Pascal was ordered to wash himself with a special soap everyday. This was to prevent his human musk from seducing any pony that could smell him. If he stank, it was probably the soap, made to repel ponies.
I'll go with Celly's twisted option

Yes
WOW this is messed upIhope he can fix this.
After a second round of reading, am I right in thinking the "The ancient humans – OUR humans," Celestia monologued, "were a race that had mastered the arcane arts. The most powerful of them could reach out and shape entire universes into being, rewrite and craft the very laws of reality." bit can basically refer to anyone making (fan)fiction?

that's an interesting read, though i'll admit at the time i was writing with a more literal intention
if they resemble anything, though - if you drill down to what might have inspired all this - they might just represent people who write "stories" or 1-2 paragraph blurbs for their OC-driven FurAffinity commissions, filling them with all sorts of fetishy "just because" worldbuilding for maximum fap-fantasy value. not that i don't appreciate that sort of thing, but it might've struck me how one creates a distinct world or rewrites a character's personality... just to make them more bangable
Wow, what a chapter, especially the backstory part. But it seems is far from over.

Heh... This is strongly reminiscent of MYST: a race of people who invented a whole Art of Writing Worlds. They would create something called a "Descriptive Book" that would describe, in the most intricate detail, the world they wanted to reach, and would then infuse it with power to become a gateway - a portal - to this World. They would go on to create a substantial network of such Worlds they controlled. They called themselves the D'ni.
They were called by others - the Conquerors.
And they would not be gentle with these Worlds, either. They would re-write them to their liking, changing them, altering their properties - and their inhabitants - to better suit their needs. They saw them as their own creation, which granted them even less standing than "slaves"... You see, slaves at the very least have existence apart from being a slave - creations, however, are more like tools, as they have no other purpose than to serve, and if their purpose runs out, they are discarded and replaced.
It only came much later - several hundred (if not thousand) years later, in fact - that some of them realized that they weren't actually creating these worlds: the Multiverse (a concept they elected to call Terok Jeruth - the Great Tree of Possibility) already contained all of these worlds, and the descriptions they would write only "zoned them in" as destinations to travel to. This created a schism in their ranks - the Great Schism, as it would later be called. And, one of the leaders of the "new D'ni" - those who believed they were deeply in the wrong for enslaving and exploiting these worlds, and that they had a lot to answer and atone for - was Atrus. He lead a group of people in self-imposed banishment, traveling to a world that was neither ideal nor comfortable, trapped in the earth on a massive volcano. It was, as it goes, a pure coincidence that this volcano happened to be in a plain in New Mexico... ;)
Still, in the end, this didn't save them. They quickly fell into their old ways - having failed to reform, despite best intentions, their society collapsed under its own demands, unable to meet its requirements without an army of slaves to silently support it through their own suffering (not that they didn't try...) - and so came their end. The remaining few dispersed, seeking solitude, punishment or vengeance, as it were - against themselves, against others... against the world.
The majority of the games are about uncovering this history and seeing if it's at all possible to learn from it and grow.
And, in the end, I'm quite open to the possibility that by inventing such worlds, we give them life. My mind wouldn't be broken by the revelation that we do this - being sapient beings and all, the only ones truly able to observe the Universe and experience it - each time we imagine something...
It would be staggering, yes. In fact, there's an anime about such a blend, called Re:Creators. It's nowhere near this deep, of course, but it touches upon many of these points.
And yes, the irony of passing this story around - in light of what I've just said - is not lost on me...
Thirdly, AuNaturale: thank you. This is a wonderfully tasty deconstruction of the whole "perversion fap fantasy" thing. It goes a long way to give one pause, to force one to consider all of their fantasies, fetishes and desires, in how they might actually cause the suffering and destruction of a being's spirit if let loose via "Reality Ensues".
Not saying that I expect to suffer Katawa Dick for the next week or something, I'm too far-gone for it to affect me this deeply. But it does give me things to think about, at length. In a way, I believe I might end up being a better person for having read it - and so you managed to not only entertain me, but enhance my mind at the same time, which IMO is the absolute best outcome an author could ever achieve.
Congratulations.
My only issue - and a small one at that - is that all of this exposition is essentially locked away in a self-contained chapter. I would've enjoyed a lot more content leading up to this reveal - bits and pieces here and there, alluding to the truth of this atrocity. Maybe a digsite or two, some leftover trinkets, defunct technology... something more. It was there, sure, but there wasn't enough foreshadowing for me to be completely content. :-)
