Really awesome story, sure there were a few errors here and there, but it was a fantastic joy to read! (placed onto bookshelf!) The flow and congruence to the movies’ plot was also a very neat addition and made it that much more enjoyable. I actually have the same problem as Sunset; a passion for music, but no money to actually afford an instrument. I eventually was able to get a run-down piano, for free in fact, and taught myself how to play it. But my original goal was to get an acoustic guitar and play that, however to this day, I’ve never received the opportunity to do so. Maybe I might visit some garage sales soon... I might get lucky! Anyway, this story was well-written and it made my day

They were not errors in the technical term, it was mostly the wording that was the case such as:
“her buying it and using it” – the use of “it” seems off within the sentence;
“She was reaching her vision of becoming the girl in her vision.” – again the use of the word “vision” seems to be off putting and could be re-worded.
Otherwise those small details, it was a perfect read.

Two things I found. "This thought she (was) crushed by her shear will." I dont think you are using the correct sheer and the sentence doesnt flow right. Remove was. And there was another error in flow, but I cant find it now!

this was quite enjoyable! good songs, good artists: I like your taste. errors, though there, are minor enough they did not detract me from the story. I could really feel the depth of Sunset Shimmer's sadness and drive, and it was actually really invigorating in that way. so very good display of 'show, don't tell'. it was nice to see her honestly struggle and work at something that wasn't
more friendship crapsimply willing herself to be a better person. plus it's cool to have Sunset be good at something not just because she's awesome, but that she has a history of diligent work and strict regimen that perseveres even now, because it means she can and has room to improve... in which case, her progress was also fun to read. it was very easy to identify with this characterthe ties back into canon are scarce enough to not feel contrived, and the whole thing felt very natural

This was awesome! I too have sort of taught myself how to play guitar. I can do the beginning chords to “One”, “Welcome Home(Sanitarium)”, and “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. I still have a little trouble once the songs start picking up pace but I'm practicing
