That felt a little bit too happy of an ending to me, but it was still a decent fic for a threequile.
6839503 I ended it that way because I wanted it to be a new start for Colgate and Amethyst, one where their marriage is restored to normal and where they were still in Luna's good graces. I was thinking of writing a fourth one where Colgate would continue the torture, destroy her marriage and dethrone Luna but I figured that I had milked this storyline as much as I could.

Like I had said earlier, I ended the third one the way I did so it would provide a clear reason as to why there would be no fourth one.
