RarityEQM

Just a pony being fabulous. Writer of vignettes, clop, experiments, a great deal of trash and the occasional gem

Somedays it's a struggle just to get out of bed; Lyra knows this better than anyone, but sometimes you've just got to push through and hope...

Will it? Will it ever get better? It's been ages and I really don't think it will. I don't care anymore Rarity.

Top class story, first rate.

Lyra has a very appropriate name, because this story tore at my heartstrings. Very well done. I was afraid at first it would be just a downward spiral, but the way it went up and down, with a hopeful undertone while keeping the struggle... wow. If I can become half as good at writing emotions as you are, my friend, I'll be lucky.

Thankfully Lyra has friends who will support her. I haven't been in her place, but I've been in Bon Bon's - being the friend who struggles to help them and puts up with their mood and has to deal with them destroying themselves, and it's wearing. So very wearing. And you don't get to complain because you're not the one with the problem and you're supposed to be the strong one and you're better off so you have to make the sacrifices. And if you're very, very lucky, you get to see your friend get a little better. If not, you get frustration and nothing more.

Yeah. Good story. Hurtful, but good.

This was amazing. I don't cry, because I haven't had an emotional outburst since 2011 when my grandfather died. I'm like a shell. Everyone tells me bottling it in is wrong, but I feel like I'll explode and take it out on people I love/care about if I open my shell.

Anyway, that's enough about me. Great story, I enjoyed it!

Have you ever considered submitting this story to Equestria Daily? You can find out how to do so here.

5298013 What does the writing in the icon for your avatar say?

5301328 I think I'd rather submit "Monsters" :)

Starlight Nova the writing on my pic says "would anypony miss me?" Mainly because I'm not sure any would.

I know this story is really old, but I still feel the need to tell you how damned amazing it is. I don't know anything about depression, but the way you portrayed Lyra here made my heart wrench in pity.
