I have to say though... the marefriend thing might have been overdoing it. At this point you could change it even. It IS your choice... but you have a strong chance of driving away some readers thanks to that. It seems to me that it would be easier to simply say twi was helping 'shy with her animals... rather than add implied innuendo. If you can avoid it, it just makes more sense to not risk bogging down the plot so much.
This is, for some reason, relative to my interests.

I admit that I too think the first might have been a bit overdone, but more because of slight personality flaws and a lack of the evil genius that made Aizen what he was. It was like a lunatic reject clone of Aizen or something... and while it is true his zanpakuto would be a gamebreaker, he just seemed... empty.
