When Trixie returned from her adventure with Twilight in the Arctic North, she brought with her the shattered remains of a stone. Now, Princess Luna and Trixie are going to see an expert in hopes of getting some questions answered. When Trixie arrives, she finds that moving rocks around in a field isn't the only thing that a rock farmer does.

please make this an ongoing story.
:trixieshiftleft: Trixie demands the attention.

Hm...I don't know...

Just kidding. Trixie is actually going to get her moment to shine eventually. It won't be for a while (I have to finish two major stories first), but her time will come. This is actually just a piece of a greater story. If you want more of her, you can go read Gazing Into Darkness, which is the prequel to this story.
:trixieshiftright:

I already did, its what alerted me to this story.
I enjoyed both stories greatly.

This was a beautiful piece. I loved the story it continues from, and I love this. I definitely subscribe to the idea that Luna and Trixie would make a good mentor-student pair, because the things that define them are so very similar. So this was very good.

I'm looking forward to Trixie's 'time to shine'. You've gained a follower.

Nice parallel with the shatter stone and Trixie's state. Let's see if further stories can mend her back together. The ponies around her certainly are giving her enough chances.

Interesting premise with this world you're building. I'm curious to see where it is going.

Till next time!

Hizzah! New follower. My pony legion is growing even more.

I had heard of the Luna/Trixie pairing before, but never gave it much thought. It really wasn't until I was writing this story that it finally clicked. How they both feel overshadowed, and so Luna could understand, and more importantly, empathize with Trixie, which I think will help both of them.

Why thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it, and I intend to put Trixie back together eventually. I just have to be careful on how I do it, because I don't want it to read like a cop-out.

I read 'Gazing into the Darkness' and 'Trixie's Task'. I like what you are doing with Trixie. BTW,

And I saw what you were capable of when the Nightmare Forces attacked Ponyville.

When did that happen?

Hi again!

The Nightmare Forces attacking Ponyville happens in the comics. It's the second story arc, and it's where Nightmare Rarity comes from. Trixie is there when the battle breaks out and she helps defend the town.

4417099 Sorry, I don't follow the comics. As the show has proven, they are not canon. So, I'm sorry to say I still have no idea what Trixie did.

Surprised I didn't see this earlier. Good little story. Let's see if there's more of it...

Ah, thank you for that. These EQD stories don't get my full editing and proofreading process because I usually write them in a hurry. I'll be sure to go back and fix those.

Glad you liked the story though. There are actually two more that are part of this 'set.'
Gazing into Darkness is the prequel, where Trixie finds the stone.
Trixie's Task is the sequel to this, showing what Trixie's training under Luna has come to.

And there will be more about Trixie in the future as well.

It would be nice if the sequel sequence was more clearly shown on these. I accidentally read them out of order!

Still, fun stories.

6789273 Oh wow, a comment on this one? Surprising, considering its age, but most welcome!

Anyway, yeah. I wrote this one and 'Gazing Into Darkness' before I understood how to tag sequels. Somepony finally told me about it later, so ever since then I've done it. But these stories I just kind of forgot about because most ponies don't read them. I'm glad you took the time to though, and I'm happy you liked them all. If you want, I wrote another Trixie story over here. It's not part of this series, but it still stars her.

Hm...I am curious as to which 'Trixie's Task' story you mean? Is there more than one?

9140549
Hee hee. I was wondering if you meant mine. So yes, I have indeed read that one.

Anyway, to answer your other question, yes. I have an idea in my head about Trixie, Silent Wing, and two other ponies teaming up to deal with something, but I haven't gotten around to starting it yet. I am finishing up 'Bloodlines' and as well as 'Shattered', and then Trixie's story will start/resume. If you'd like, I can let you know when I start that story.
