Twilight Sparkle was reading a book one day called 'The Wizard of Oz', before she was hit on the head and is knocked out. When she wakes up, she's a magical place where she meets some 'very familiar looking' friends.

How hard did Twilight hit her head? She's not even questioning the fact that she's in a lucid dream starring ponies that she knows. I think you might have given her a little too much of Dorothy Gale's personality.
It's not bad. I just feels more like Twilight is in a play playing Dorothy than a pony adaptation of The Wizard of Oz with Twilight as the lead.
Okay, everyone seems a bit more consistent with their canon personalities in this chapter. By the way, it's "conversation" not "confiscation."

That scene where they had to tell the fakes apart from the real ponies was clever.
That is one short chapter. Too bad Twilight didn't get sucked into a tornado like in the movie.
I just figured it out what the characters related from the movie. (well at least there's no song unlike the movie)

Applejack and the rest of the Apple Family as the Munchkins.
Well at least Twilight didn't bring her owl and Spike as Toto, but who cares? Aaand Flash Sentry is coming along with her. It's okay, I'd had a crush just like Twilight having a crush on Flash.
Oh great! New characters!
Pinkie Pie as The Scarecrow who needs a brain, Rainbow Dash as Tinman need a heart and Fluttershy as the Cowardly lion who needs courage.
And by the way, why is Nightmare Moon in this world the sister of my arch nemesis!? She's a pony not a freaking alien that is now a pony hybrid who stole leftover magic... sorry, that was my theory.
