After being hit on the head, Twilight wakes up in a magical land where she's being hunted down by an evil witch
Twilight Sparkle was reading a book one day called 'The Wizard of Oz', before she was hit on the head and is knocked out. When she wakes up, she's a magical place where she meets some 'very familiar looking' friends.
P.S I know some other fimfic-ers have done Wizards of Oz's as well. If I ancidently copy something I'm sorry.
"What you reading there Twilight?" Spike, a small green and purple dragon, asked his 'big pony sister' Twilight Sparkle one day.
"It's an old book I found last time I was staying over at the Crystal Empire," Twilight said looking up from her book.
"'The Wizard of Oz?" Spike read the title. "Never heard of it."
"Well it's about this girl, named Dorothy Gale and her dog To-To, who one day get swept up in a tornado, and when they land they're in some place called Oz. After being told by the Witch of the North, Gilda, that the only way home is to see the Wizard in the Emerald City..."
"Yes?" Spike asked looking - not bored, but not as excited than he could be.
"Well I haven't gotten that far yet," Twilight said returning to her book.
Suddenly Spikes fringes started moving. "Er... Twilight I think we should duck," he said getting under a table.
"And why's that Spike?"
"LOOK OUT!" Rainbow called smashing though the library's window and hitting Twilight on the head, knocking her out.
Twilight felt she was falling though thin air then. 'THUD'... 'CRACK'... 'AGHH'.... Silence.
All was quiet for a few seconds then... "You think she's alright?" a southern accent voice asked.
Twilight opened her eyes to see a lot more pairs of eyes looking at her. Getting up Twilight noticed that the eyes belong to other ponies all dressed up in western outfits. Most of the smaller pony's were hiding behind their mothers looking scared.
"Ya alright there Sugercube?" came the same voice as before. Looking around Twilight saw an orange mare with blonde main and tail.
"I'm fine" Twilight said walking over, making most of the other ponies back away "Thanks?"
Suddenly there was a bright pink light and then standing in front of Twilight was a beautiful pink Alicorn with a crown on her head. Every-pony except Twilight bowed thinking...
The Alicorn turned to Twilight. "Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?" the new pony asked.
Twilight didn't know what to say, getting very nervous with all the eyes on her.
"Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?" the pink pony asked again.
"Neither," Twilight said still looking around. "I'm Twilight. Just... Just Twilight."
"Well 'Just Twilight' my name is Cadence," the Alicorn said smiling "The Good Witch of the North. I was summoned here because the Apples were calling for help because they said Nightmare Moon was attacking them. She's the Wicked Witch of the East." Cadence explained pointing to all the ponies around Twilight and herself. "And now they're saying an new witch killed the old one. That's you." Cadence said nodding towards Twilight who was in shock at the thought that she killed some-pony. "So all we want to know is, are you a good witch, or a bad witch?"
"Look I... I think you got something wrong here," Twilight said looking at every-pony "I didn't kill any-pony..."
"Then what's that?" a small yellow filly asked pointing to a broken tree branch crushing a midnight blue Alicorn, wearing a crescent moon necklace.
"I...I..." Twilight didn't know what to say. Then a loud 'CRACK' and green flames bust up out of nowhere revealing a black Alicorn with bug like wings, a crocked horn, holes in her hooves, seaweed like hair and bright green eyes. This Alicorn walked over to the one under the tree, examining her.
"I thought you said she was dead," Twilight whispered to Cadence as the Apples cowered in fear.
"That was her sister, Nightmare Moon, the Wicked Witch of the East," Cadence explained. "This is Chrysalis, the Wicked Witch of the West."
Suddenly Chrysalis turned around eyes flaring in anger. "Who. Killed. My. Sister." she hissed only just loud enough to be heard. "WHO?" she looked around at all the scared ponies then saw Twilight. "Was it you!" she asked.
"N.. N.. No I didn't mean to kill any-pony." Twilight said trying to get away from Chrysalis getting ever closer to her.
"So you did do it." Chrysalis cried lighting up her horn. "I'll kill you!"
Cadence stretched out a wing protecting Twilight. "You have no power here Chrysalis." Cadence told the Witch. "And even if you did, I would not let you harm this, or any other pony."
Thinking a little the the Witch agreed with Cadence. "You're right Cadence. I need my sister's necklace." Turning around, Chrysalis went to her sister to take the necklace from her. But as Chrysalis got there, the Crescent Moon Necklace disappeared and Nightmare Moon turned into dust leaving only her amour. "What the?" Then turning to Cadence asked angrily "What did you do with my new necklace?"
"I didn't do anything," Cadence said a smile on her face. "The necklace simply chose a new host." she said pointing to Twilight's neck where the necklace now was.
"Give it back!" Chrysalis screamed.
"Please I ... I don't want it here take it." Twilight said taking the necklace off holding her hoof out.
"Gladly my dear." Chrysalis said reaching out a hoof to take it. "Ow!" she cried as the necklace just shocked her. "What did you do to it?" Chrysalis asked Cadence tending to her injured hoof.
"I didn't do anything," Cadence said "I told you the necklace had chose a new host. Here it is." she pointed to Twilight "And here it will stay."
"I'll get my necklace. I swear it!" Chrysalis cried, then in a loud crack and green flames, she was gone.
"I don't want this, I just want to go home." Twilight said trying to shake off the necklace from her hoof. But the harder she tried, the tighter the thread became around her hoof.
"Well to do that you will need to see the Princess," Cadence said. "She lives in Emerald City. To get there, all you have to do is follow the yellow brick road."
Noise and movement started up from the ponies behind Twilight and Cadence.
"But she can't go there Cadence," the pony from before said "She'll be a sitting duck now."
"I agree Applejack." Cadence said nodding, then an idea hit her. Cadence lit her horn and shot a beam of light into the air. After a few seconds, an orange Pegasus was flying overhead and landed in front of her.
"What can I do for you Cadence?" he asked bowing.
"Twilight, this is Flash Sentry. One of my best guards," Cadence explained to Twilight as the (rather cute) pony got up. "Flash, I would like you to help Twilight here," she showed Flash the (beautiful) mare "get to the Emerald City to see the Princess so she can ask her how she can get home."
"Of course Cadence" Flash said saluting the Good Witch.
"Good luck now you hear!" all the Apples called as Twilight and Flash started on their long journey across the land of Equestia.
The two ponies, Twilight and Flash continued to walk down the yellow brick road in silence. Each thinking of what to say to the other. After a few minutes they came to a three way fork in the road all going off in different directions.
"Where...Where do we go from here?" Twilight asked looking down each road trying to see where they lead.
"I don't know," Flash said also looking around. "Hey look theres a sign." he said pointing to a road sign. Going over to it, he only got confused at what it said.
"What's it say?" Twilight said looking over at him.
"Well..." Flash said looking at the sign with a hoof to his chin, "it says, 'That-Way'," he pointed to the right, "'This-Way'," the left "and 'Over-There'." straight ahead.
"Come on Flash," Twilight said coming over to him "What does it really say?"
"What I read out." Flash said back.
"Maybe I can help." a new voice called out.
Looking around Twilight checked to see if Flash heard it too.
"Hey! Yoo-hoo! Up here!" the voice called out again. Twilight and Flash looked up to see a pink scarecrow nailed to a post above them.
"Did that scarecrow talk?" Twilight asked Flash who was looking up at the scarecrow as well.
"Yes I did," it said smiling and waving a hoof to say hi.
"Ahhh!" Twilight screamed jumping back a little.
"Hi I'm Pinkie Pie," the scarecrow said "Scarecrow to this rock farm."
Flash was about to ask 'Why would a rock farm need a scarecrow?' when he remembered that they were lost. "Er... Pinkie," he began "Do you know how to get to the Emerald City? You see Twilight wants to ask the Princess how to get home."
"Yes I do," she said in a singing voice.
"Would you please tell us...?" Flash asked.
"Well you go down 'That-Way', then you go over the river, and though the woods... Oh wait that's how I get to Granny Pie's house. Silly me." Pinkie said laughing. "Thinking of it, it would be better if I showed you."
Flash looked over at Twilight to ask it it was alright.
"Yes fine," Twilight said, trying to get rid of the Crescent Moon Necklace again. To no avail.
"Yeah!" Pinkie screamed with joy "Can you get me down first though please?" she asked.
Flash flew up. "What do I need to do?" he asked.
"You see that bent nail holding me to the post?" Pinkie asked.
"Yeah." Flash said touching the nail in question.
"All you have to do is straighten it," Pinkie began, as Flash was straightening the nail, "and I should fall right..." 'THUD' "Off."
"Yeah right on top of me." Twilight's voice came from under Pinkie.
Flying down Flash went over to help Twilight up. "You ok?" he asked her.
"Oh sure," Pinkie said jumping up and bouncing around. "Anything that fall off or out of me I just put it right back on or in." she explained.
"Er..." Flash said looking at the bouncing scarecrow pony. "Never mind. You said you'd take us to the Emerald City so Twilight can get home?"
"I sure did," Pinkie said in her sing song voice still bouncing around. "Wait a second! Hold everything!"
"Er..." Flash and Twilight said together.
"Do you think I can ask the Princess for a brain too?"
"I don't see why not," Flash said. "What do you think Twilight?" he asked.
"I think before this is over I'll only have three hooves." she answered still trying to throw the necklace away.
"Nightmare Moon's Crescent Moon Necklace," Pinkie gasped, stopped bouncing, starring eyes wide at it.
"Err..." Twilight said looking from Flash to the necklace to Pinkie.
"Ahem..." Flash cleared his throat to get Pinkie's attention, who looked up and turned her head to the noise. "You said you'll show the way to the Emerald City Pinkie..."
"Oh yeah," she said bouncing over to the path on the left. "This way, come on come on it's This-Way."
And she zoomed off down the path, leaving a trail of dust behind her. Followed up by Flash and Twilight who was once again wearing the necklace.
After about an hour of following Pinkie Pie, listening to her constant talking, Twilight was about to snap.
"Ow wow it feels so good to be off that post." Pinkie said bouncing down the road "I mean seriously, I thought I'd never get off of it. Like what ten ponies go down that path every week and none of them have ever helped me down. It's like I say 'Hi there!' and they run away for some reason, I cant think at all why..."
"Neither can I," Twilight said a head ache starting to form. Then her stomach began o grumble. Blushing, Twilight looked around to see where Flash was to see that he looked hungry too. Looking around, Twilight saw some apple trees. Knowing that she would never have as good a chance, as her friend Applejack back home, to buck the apples off she used her magic to pick two ripe apples from the tree.
"Er... You don't want to do that Twilight." Flash said.
"Why not?" 'WHACK' Twilight had just got hit around the head by one of the trees, making her drop the apples, which another tree picked up.
"What was that for?" Twilight asked the tree.
"Well, how would it feel like if someone picked something off of you?" the tree on the right asked.
"Hey lets test it," the one on the left said moving it's branches to grip Twilight's horn. Suddenly the Crescent Moon Necklace around her neck began to glow and it shot a beam of light towards the trees, making them let go of Twilight's horn and back off.
"Twilight!" Flash cried running forward to help her up. "You ok?"
"Yeah," Twilight said checking her horn "Yeah I think so."
"That's no way to get food from trees silly," Pinkie said jumping up and down, smiling at Twilight and Flash's looks at her. "You need to annoy them long and hard enough for them to start throwing their fruit at you. Watch."
Pinkie got up in front of the trees, cleared her throat, and began talking about how boring her life was at the rock farm she was made at, how she wanted to get away from it for so long. She told them about how she would get wet every time it would rain, and nearly caught fire one summer.
"Ahh..." a tree cried. "Make it stop."
Flash ran forward and quickly covered Pinkie's still moving mouth. "You give us some food and we'll make her leave you alone," he said.
"Never," the other tree cried hands over where it's ears should be.
Flash took his hoof off of Pinkie's mouth, who continued in her one sided confiscation.
"So anyway as you probably guessed my job is scarring away crows and other birds away from the crops in the fields, but being a scarecrow on a rock farm, well there aren't that many reasons why any birds would come after the crops I was set up to protect. I got so bored up there day after day after day after day..."
"Alight!" a tree yelled shaking all it's apples off of it's self "Here take them! Just please take that thing away from us!"
"Thank you Sirs." Twilight said gripping all the apples in the telekinetic grip and walking away.
Flash flew up, and shoved an apple in to Pinkie's mouth to make her shut up. While she was enjoying it he grabbed her and they walked away, after Twilight.

They settled down in an open field to have their apples, munching on them happily.
After her fourth apple, Twilight took the necklace off again. This time to look at it instead of trying to get rid of it, wondering why it shot out at the tree's.
"Help," a voice called. Looking up, Twilight saw that Flash and Pinkie heard it too. "Can some-pony help me?" it called again.
Turning her head to where the voice was coming from, Twilight saw a tin Pegasus pony statue. Thinking it couldn't be that Twilight called out "Where are you?"
"Right in front of you, you dumb pony," said the tin Pegasus. "Can you get me some oil to help me move? It's by that tree stump there."
The three of them looked around, and spotted a tree stump with an oil can sitting just on top of it.
"Sure..." Twilight said putting the necklace back on and going over to the can, bringing it back. "Where do you want it first?" she asked the tin Pegasus.
"My mouth please." it said. Twilight dabbed some oil on either side of the tin Pegasus's jaw and some in the lips.
"Where next?" Twilight asked as the tin Pegasus got it's mouth working again.
"My wings please." it said shifting it's eyes to the wings that were stuck up as though it was flying. Dap, dap, dap. Squeak, squeak, squeak. "Oh thank you I've had them up in that position for ages. Please do my legs, and my neck, and my knees." After every part of the tin Pegasus was oiled, introductions were made. "Name's Rainbow Dash." it said holding out a hoof.
"I'm Twilight," Twilight said shaking the hoof, "And that's Flash, and that's Pinkie Pie."
"Nice to meet ya," Rainbow said smiling.
"So Dashie," Pinkie said just finishing the last of the apples, "How did you get stuck like that?"
"Well, I'm a stunt flier you see," Rainbow explained "And every so often I crash into things, equaling into broken bones. But I know a sharman Zebra called Zecora who can do any type of magic. So every time I broke something, I just went to her. Anyway, eventually everything got broken, so eventually I became a full tin Pegasus. One day, when I was out flying, it started to rain, and I've been stuck like that ever since."
Jets of water were coming from Pinkie's eyes a she was holding a hankie. "That was so sad." She ran up to Rainbow still bawling her eyes out.
"Hey! Watch it Raggy!" Rainbow cried flying away from the soaking wet Pinkie.
"What happened to the whole 'share a story about you life' thing?" Flash asked flying up to meet her eye to eye.
"You want to know? Bang against my chest." she said puffing it out. "Go on. Bang it." Flash did as he was told.
"Yeah," Rainbow said "One of the last things I broke was my rib cage. When Zecora gave me a new one, she forgot to add a heart."
"Well you know Twilight's going to the Emerald City to ask the Princess how she can get home. And I'm going to ask her for a brain."
"Can't tell why," Rainbow said sarcastically.
"Do you want to come along too then Rainbow," Twilight asked "Maybe you can ask for a heart."
"Sure. Why not?" Rainbow said as she and Flash flew back down. "Just keep the crying to a minimum, ok?" she asked Pinkie, who nodded in understanding.
After working on where to go next, the four of them continued down the yellow brick road.
Pinkie Pie was now leading them though a dark forest. It was very quiet, but every so often there was a 'SNAP' and they all turned their heads to see what it was.
"Er... what lives in here exactly?" Twilight asked walking close to Flash, seeing as he should be protecting her.
"Oh nothing much," Pinkie answered bouncing along "Just lions, and tigers, and bears."
"Lions," Flash said.
"And tiger's," Rainbow said.
"And bears," Pinkie said nodding.
"Oh my," Twilight said looking all around for any sign of movement.
After a few minutes something jumped out in front of them.
"AGHH!" they screamed.
"Eep" the creature said curling up paws over her head, trembling.
After the shock had died down, Rainbow got her anger back.
"Now just what do you think the big idea was you scarring us like that!" she asked glaring at the thing in front of her.
"I'm sorry," it said. Rising up Twilight saw it was a lioness, fear pasted in her eyes.
Seeing how scared she was Twilight walked up to the lioness slowly and put a hoof on it's back. "It's ok," she said "You just scared us that's all."
"I... I didn't mean to scare anyone," the lioness said "I... I was just trying to make friends. You see, I... I'm very shy."
"Well my mother says 'the first thing to do to make new friends is to learn their names,'" Flash said coming forward bowing to the lioness. "Hi, I'm Flash." he said.
"And I'm Pinkie Pie," Pinkie said hopping on the spot.
"The names Rainbow Dash," Rainbow said proudly.
"And I'm Twilight," Twilight said smiling. "What's your name?"
"It's... Fluttershy" the lioness whispered.
"Er..." Twilight looked to see if the others heard what she said. Everyone was shaking their heads. "Could you repeat that please?"
"It's...Fluttershy" the lioness whispered again, but still no one could hear her.
"One more time please..."
"It's Fluttershy" she yelled, covering her mouth with her paws at how loud she was. "I'm sorry!"
"It's ok," Flash said, getting out of the shock first. "At least we know your name now."
"Yeah," Pinkie called out "And now that we're friends we can do loads of fun things together. Like go to the Emerald City to see if you could ask the Princess for some courage."
"The... The Princess?" Fluttershy asked backing away. "Oh... um... I don't know."
"Come on we're all going," Pinkie explained. "I'm going for a brain, Rainbow's going for a heart, and Twilight going to ask the Princess how she can get home." then she turned to Flash. "I'm not sure what Flash wants though..."
"I'm not going to ask for anything," Flash said. "Cadence asked for me to protect Twilight from Chrysalis," he explained.
"C...Chrysalis?" Fluttershy whimpered.
"Yeah. She that mean old Wicked Witch of the West, with those bug wings and everything." Pinkie said. "Nightmare Moon was her sister, and she had a necklace that helped her be even more Wicked. That very necklace that Twilight has on right now!" Pinkie said pointing a hoof at Twilight.
"Eep..." Fluttershy jumped and backed away, trying to get away from Twilight. "That... That's Nightmare Moon's necklace? Why... Why do you have it?"she asked.
"Well..." Twilight said thinking of the best way to explain how she got it. "I landed on a tree branch... Which snapped... Then landed on Nightmare Moon... Chrysalis showed up... Went over to get her sister's necklace... Only to find it disappeared from her neck... Cadence saying it now chose me as it's new host... I tried to give it to Chrysalis... Only for it to shock her... She got mad... And... yeah,"
All three mares sat there, blinking, mouths hanging open, not believing what they just heard.
"So... You killed one witch," Rainbow began "And now the other one wants to kill you, just to get her sister's necklace back?"
"Yeah..." Twilight said rubbing the back of her neck.
"Ahh. Yeah!" Rainbow cried flying up into the air. "This just got a whole lot more exciting."
"Well should we get going then?" Flash asked a bit further down the road.
And now with their new friend Fluttershy... Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow, and Flash, continued down the yellow brick road.
What they didn't know, was that from the very beginning, someone had been watching them.
In the middle of the dark Everfree Forest, lies a castle. In that castle thousands of beings called Changelings live there. All ruled over by their Queen Mother Chrysalis.
It was a Changelings job to take the form of someone you loved and feed on that love, to bring it back to the hive. But at the moment, Chrysalis had something else on her mind. That little purple Unicorn that stole her newly inherited Crescent Moon Necklace away from her.
Chrysalis was looking in her mirror, and seeing that the Unicorn and her Pegasus guard, Cadence gave her, were just walking out of the forest with three new mares walking along with them. A scarecrow, a tin Pegasus, and a lioness.
Knowing that she had to get to Twilight, to get her necklace back, before the Unicorn got to the Emerald City, Chrysalis went to talk to her changeling army.

"Your job, my children," Chrysalis began "Is to go out and bring back the pony who stole my new necklace away from me. The Changeling that does, will be given royal jelly for a week."
All the Changelings buzzed with glee at the sound of that. Then they flew up into the air and shot out of the tunnels and went out to find the pony in question.
"Well what did I keep on saying," Pinkie said, to the others as they stopped on top of a hill that overlooked the Emerald City. "I told you all I can find it."
"Oh... my," Fluttershy said looking at it. "It's so... big."
"And you're sure that that's where the Princess is?" Twilight asked Pinkie who was hopping up and down.
"Sure I'm sure." Pinkie said smiling.
"Yell what are we waiting for?" Rainbow said shooting into the air. "Let's go."
"Wait," Flash said moving his ears "Do you hear that?"
"It sounds like buzzing..." Twilight said looking around "Oh no..." Thousands of Changelings were flying towards them, eyes green, horns glowing, each one showing their fangs.
"Run!" Twilight cried, heading down the hill followed by Flash and the others.
"Why are we running?" Rainbow asked flying above the others. Then she got hit out of the sky and landed in a puddle rusting her wings.
"They're Chrysalis's Changeling army," Flash explained flying next to her. "They're probably after Twilight."
"Oh no..." Pinkie and Fluttershy said together looking over at Twilight, who was being targeted more than the others.
"I said leave me ALONE!" Twilight screamed, her eyes turning white with all the power going though her, as the Crescent Moon Necklace began to glow and shot at all the Changelings around her, knocking them out of the sky, and her unconscious.
"TWILIGHT!" Flash called out flying down to see if she was alright.
Noticing how this Pegasus reacted to the thief being hurt, the leader of the army gave new orders to his men though their heads. Forget the Unicorn! Take the orange Pegasus, I have a feeling that he would make our Queen happy in more ways than one.
Following their leaders commands, the army turned it's attention onto an unknowing Flash who was checking on Twilight.
"Flash! Look out!" Fluttershy called out a warning.
Flash turned to see what was going on getting into a position to fight, standing over Twilight's limb body. Only to be knocked out, and ambushed.
Quickly! The leader cried. Back to the Hive. And they all flew away with a knocked out Flash Sentry.
It was getting close to sunset before Twilight woke up, rubbing her eyes.
Looking around she saw she was in some sort of, hospital room. Except everything was green, no Emerald. Getting up Twilight saw that Pinkie, Rainbow - wings now oiled again, and Fluttershy, were all lying on the floor next to her bed. Then Twilight heard footsteps coming from the other side of the door.
In walked a white Unicorn, with purple hair, in a green uniform, holding in her magic a staff of some kind. And by her side, what looked to be a doctor who was coming to check up on Twilight.
"Ah. Your awake..." the Unicorn said, nodding to the doctor, who started checking up on Twilight. "Good."
"Er... Where am I?" Twilight asked looking around as the doctor checked her blood pressure.
"Why you in the Emerald City of course," the Unicorn said waving her hoof around to show Twilight all the Emeralds around her. "My name's Rarity, I am the gate keeper of the city. And my dear, I saw the whole thing."
"Can you remind me... Please?" Twilight asked a nervous grin on her face.
"Why the Changeling ambush of course," Rarity said. "And I'm sorry you lost your colt-friend to them my dear."
"My... My what?" Twilight asked snapping her head towards Rarity.
"Why your colt-friend of course," Rarity repeated "Changelings feed on love you see, so when they see it, they capture it and take it back to that icky hive of theirs."
"I... I don't have a colt-friend." Twilight said thinking. Then eyes shooting open realizing some-pony wasn't there "Where's Flash?" she cried.
"My dear didn't you hear me," Rarity said. "The Changelings have him."
No... No... Twilight thought, He, he was only protecting me. It was me they were after, she sniffed. Why take him?
In the Hive, Chrysalis was not at all happy at the Changelings who bought back Flash.
"I said get the pony who took the necklace!" she screamed "Not this pony. Not any one else! THAT PONY!"
All the Changelings but the leader of the army coward in fear at what she might do to them.
"Explain yourself!" Chrysalis cried into the leader's face.
"My Queen," he began "We tried getting to the pony in question, but you sister's... I.... I mean your necklace," the Changeling corrected himself "gave off some kind of magic knocking all the Changelings around her out of the sky. Then this pony, seeing that it's mate was in danger as she was knocked out too, flew down to see if she was alright, stood over her and protected her from those that were still after her."
"That still doesn't explain why I have him instead of her, Captain." Chrysalis shot back.
"My idea, my Queen," the captain said looking Chrysalis right in the eye, "Is we use him as some kind of bait to lure the Unicorn to come to the Hive, to find her love. And seeing as she can't get your necklace off herself, she will be bringing that as well."
Silence followed the captain's plan as Chrysalis thought about it.
"A wonderful idea," she said smiling "I'm so glad I thought of it."
The captain was about to say something about it was his idea, when he stopped himself.
"Send the lookouts out to search for that puny Unicorn."
"Yes my Queen," the captain said turning to his men to shoo them out the door, to give the lookouts their new orders.
"I love where this is going. Don't you Flash?" she said chuckling looking over at Flash Sentry who was bound to the wall who woke up half way though the captains plan.
"I wont let you harm Twilight you old witch!" he cried pulling at the green goo stuck to his hooves holding him to the wall.
Back in the Emerald City, Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow and Fluttershy were being lead though the castle to see the Princess by Rarity. As they reached the giant wooden doors, Twilight held back a little thinking about how Flash had protected her, and because of that, was taken himself.
"What's wrong Twilight?" Fluttershy asked walking back to check on her friend.
"It's... It's nothing," Twilight said wiping tears from her eyes.
"Is it about Flash?" Fluttershy asked, as the others were coming up now too.
"N.. N...Yes!" Twilight cried. "Why would they take him? It was me they wanted. All because of this stupid thing." Twilight shouted ripping the necklace off of her neck trying to throw it away, only for it to tighten it's grip on her hoof again.
Suddenly Twilight felt that she was being hugged. She looked down to see Fluttershy with tears in her eyes, hugging her to help Twilight get though the loss she had just had.
"We will get him back," she promised releasing Twilight from the hug.
"Thanks Fluttershy," Twilight said sniffing, putting the necklace back on and joined the others at the door.
"You are about to see the Princess," Rarity said in her proud gatekeeper voice. "Only she can help you with your problems." she said looking at Twilight, who just nodded.
The doors opened to revel a throne room with a white Alicorn sitting on the throne, waiting to hear why they came to see her.
Rarity walked forward leading the others in and stopped in front of the Princess.
"Princess Celestia," she said "These ponies have come here to ask for help to get back some-pony the Changelings have taken hostage."
"And I want a brain," Pinkie stepped up.
"I want a heart," Rainbow said.
"Err... and I'd like some courage... Please " Fluttershy whispered.
Celestia looked at each of them then said "I'm afraid I can't do anything to help you."
"What?" the three mares who had spoken said, Twilight not saying anything.
"I'm afraid I can only tell you where Chrysalis's hive is," she explained "There I'm sure you will find everything you came looking for." She walked up to Twilight and put a hoof on her shoulder. "I think you'll find that necklace very helpful when the time comes my little pony. Now," she said spinning around to the others. "Chrysalis's hive is in the old abandoned castle in the middle of the Everfree Forest. I can not say where it is. But that is where you'll find Flash Sentry."
"Well what are we waiting for?" Rainbow asked heading for the door.
"Wait!" Twilight called, every-pony turned to face her. "It's me she wants. And I don't want any of you to get captured too. I... I have to... no, I'm going to do this alone."
"But Twilight we can help," Pinkie said looking a little upset at Twilight's words.
"Err... Yeah." Fluttershy agreed telling herself to be brave for her new friends.
"Come on Twilight," Rainbow said flying back down "A good solider never leaves a man behind, and neither do best friends."
Looking around at her three friends Twilight agreed that... "You're right," she said smiling.
"Good," Celestia said. "Now I can only transport you to the outside of the forest's tree line." she explained "You will need to find your own way from there."
The mares nodded in understanding, then lined up all with closed eyes.
Two Changeling lookouts were scouting the outside of the trees searching for anything strange or any pony.
Then there was a bright light, and on the outskirts of the forest, there now stood a scarecrow, a tin Pegasus, a lioness and...
"It's that Unicorn Chrysalis is after." one of them said pointing a hoof to the ponies.
"It looks like her plan is working then," said the other. "Quick we must tell her."
Twilight opened her eyes to see they were where the Princess said she would put them, on the outskirts of the Everfree Forest.
"Come on," she said stepping forward.
"Oh... My, it's so big, and dark, and we have no idea on what we'll find." Fluttershy said.
"Well I know two things on what we'll find," Twilight said turning to the others, "We'll find Flash, and the old hag that took him! Now come on!" And without another word she ran of into the forest followed by her friends.

After five minutes, Twilight and her friends were in total darkness. The light from the sun couldn't get though the trees branches above them.
"We're lost, aren't we?" Rainbow said to no one in mind.
"We're not lost," Pinkie's voice rang out "I know exactly where we are."
....
"In the middle of a big, dark, spooky forest with those mean things that took Twilight's colt-friend." Unseen Rainbow face-hoofed.
"He's not my colt-friend Pinkie, I just want to save him from the Witch." Twilight said lighting her horn so they could see.
Fluttershy was lying down with her paws over her eyes trying to block out everything around her.
"Hey you over there. Do you need help?" someone called. A small grey filly came out of the trees walking up to Twilight, as though the others weren't there, staring right into her eyes.
"Err... Yes please," Twilight said not thinking on why a filly as young as this one was running around a forest like this. "You see, we're trying to find an old castle. We think a friend of ours is being kept there." she explained "Do you know where it is?"
"Of course." said the filly smiling "I'm Dawn, and I live in this forest you see. I know where everything is, and what monsters there are, and everything. Come on I'll show you where the castle is."
As Dawn turned around no one saw her eyes flash green for a few seconds.
As Twilight began to follow the filly, Rainbow caught her shoulder. "I don't trust her Twilight. Don't you think it's a little odd, that a filly as young as her is living alone in a forest like this."
"Yeah," Pinkie agreed. "And as soon as we're lost she comes out of no where telling us she'll lead us right to where we want to go."
"No," Twilight said shaking off Rainbow and blinking her now sightly tainted green eyes. "Now come on, we're going to lose her." she said running after the filly.
Rainbow, Pinkie, and Fluttershy looked at each other worry in each of their faces. Then followed the two deeper into the forest.

They followed the filly for ten minutes, before they saw their destination. The Changeling Hive.
"Humm..." Dawn said looking at the rope bridge "It looks like it would only take one pony at a time." she said turning to Twilight eyes flashing green a little bit. "After you." Dawn stepped to one side to let Twilight go first, across the bridge.
Twilight stepped forward, a sleepy look on her face eyes turned green. Step, by step Twilight made it across the bridge. Unknown to her that her friends were being attacked by some Changeling guards.
As Dawn made it to the other side to be with Twilight, Twilight called out into the fog, "Come on every-pony, we need to save... that guy who was with us." she said forgetting Flash's name, and continued to the castle not noticing that her friends weren't there anymore.

When Rainbow woke up she, Pinkie, and Fluttershy were alone in a cell together fixed to the wall with some green stuff on their hooves and paws.
Rainbow pulled with all her strength at the stuff to get her hoof free. But it didn't move.
"Great." she groaned looking around the cell. Then seeing some orange... "FLASH!"
The others looked up to learn what Rainbow was shouting at.
"Err..." Flash said as though he had just woken up, with bleary eyes he saw Rainbow who was trying to get her hooves free again. "It's no good Rainbow. It's royal jelly, the stickiest thing ever, you wont..."
"Finally!" Rainbow cried, getting her right hoof off of the wall, and started pulling at the left.
Only just noticing what he was seeing, Flash's eyes looked around the room. "Rainbow. Where's Twilight?"
"Somewhere upstairs looking for you with that traitorous pipsqueak Dawn."
"Oh no..." Flash said trying to pull his hooves off the wall now too.
"Wha... What's wrong," Fluttershy asked scared at how hard Flash was pulling at the jelly.
"That Dawn, is Chrysalis's number one Changeling to bring back unsuspecting ponies to the hive." Flash said resting for a bit. "Ponies think an innocent little filly like her, wouldn't do them any harm. And if they do, or they know about the Changelings, she puts a spell on you to make you forget what you were doing before she found you."
"Then lets get out of here and rescue Twilight," Rainbow said now tending to pull Pinkie and Fluttershy off the wall.
"But... But we'll be going up against Chrysalis, and... and all her changelings and..." Fluttershy said as she was let down from the wall and going to get Flash down.
"Fluttershy," Rainbow called to her from across the room. "For once in you life be a brave lioness. Your friend is out there somewhere," she pointed to the door, "And she may be in trouble. You need to muster all the bravery you have, and come with us to rescue her. Understand?"
"Yes" Fluttershy said.
"What?" Rainbow asked putting a hoof to her ear.
"Yes" she said again.
"Still can't hear you..."
"Yes!" Fluttershy roared, all fear gone from her face as she got Flash down, and went to help with Pinkie.
After she was down, they went to the door and Rainbow bucked it off it's hinges. "Where are all the guards?" she said looking around.
"It doesn't matter," Flash said leading them out of the cell "Come on this way." He said leading them down the corridor, eyes flashing green.
Twilight was following Dawn though the castle, unaware that she lost her friends. Or that she was heading into the very heart of the Hive.
"Just keep following me Twilight," Dawn said eyes glowing green yet again. "I'll show you where your colt-friend is."
"Who?" Twilight asked questioningly.
"Flash of course," Dawn said.
This made Twilight think for a bit. How did she know what Flash's name was? Then... "Er... Dawn, where are my friends?"
"In the dungeon."
"What?" Twilight asked as she was lead tough the Hive's throne room doors.
"Your friends are in the dungeon," Dawn repeated as the doors banged closed. Not liking where this was going, Twilight looked around the room for another way out. "And as soon as our Queen has her necklace back, so will you and you colt-friend."
"Wha... What do you mean your queen?" Twilight asked turning to Dawn, only to see a small Changeling standing there fangs showing, with two other Changelings next to her.
The two older Changelings jumped at Twilight. While one held her to the wall, the other spat royal jelly onto her hooves, sticking her there. When they were done, they they flew back to Dawn. All three bowing now.
"Ahh, Twilight, so nice to see you again," a voice echoed around the room.
Looking all around the room Twilight saw two green eyes and a pair of white fangs staring at her out of the shadows.
"You see Flash," Chrysalis said stepping into the light."I knew she'd come after you."
"Flash?" Twilight asked looking at where Chrysalis spoke to see a orange pony stuck to the wall jelly also covering his mouth, but you could see from his eyes that he was annoyed to the Witch.
"Now my dear," Chrysalis said addressing Twilight, "As I see it, you want your colt-friend, and I want my necklace..."
"He's not my colt-friend!" Twilight called back annoyed that this old witch would say such a thing.
"So you don't want him?" Chrysalis asked pretending to be shocked. "One more worker for me then." she said lighting her horn with a green glow.
"Wait! Stop! I do want him," Twilight screamed pulling at the jelly. "Please don't hurt him. I'll do anything."
"That's better," Chrysalis said cutting off her magic. "Now, as I was saying... You want your colt-friend, I want my necklace. How about we do a trade? That way we both get what we want."
"Where are my friends first?" Twilight said looking Chrysalis in the eye.
"About to get ambushed by my Changelings..."
Rainbow, Pinkie, and Fluttershy, along with Changeling Flash, were running down a corridor looking for Twilight.
"Do we know where we're going?" Rainbow asked looking ahead.
"Not really," Change-Flash lied eyes turning green again as he lead them into the next room.
Everyone froze. All around them there were Changelings eyes green, teeth bared.
"Eep..." Fluttershy squeaked at seeing all the Changelings around her.
"Come on," Rainbow said holding her hooves up, "We can take them. Right Flash... Flash?" But the only ones there who weren't Changeling were Pinkie, Fluttershy and herself.
"I wondered how he knew so much about Dawn!" Pinkie said jumping on the spot.
"And you didn't think to say anything?" Rainbow said spinning around to face Pinkie.
"Well we were busy weren't we... Looking for Twilight..." Pinkie answered a huge grin on her face.
"When you girls are finished talking..." the Captain said getting their attention.
Rainbow span back around to face the one who talked. He was slightly bigger than the others. Wearing golden amour. Then... "You're the one who lead the army who stole Flash from us!" Rainbow cried anger in her eyes.
"Sure am," he said rubbing a hoof against his chest smirking with satisfactory. "Now," looking at the girls "Do you want to be killed, fast or slow?"
"I don't want to be killed at all thank you," Rainbow said staring the Captain in the eye.
"Oh... Oh I want a brain," Pinkie said shocking the Captain and the Changelings.
"Excuse me...?" the Captain asked now looking at Pinkie.
"Well you see, I'm just an ordinary scarecrow from an ordinary rock farm..." Pinkie began.

Back in the throne room.
"Now my dear," Chrysalis said looking at Twilight who had tears in her eyes. "You give me what I want, and I'll give you what you want." she said waving a hoof over to Flash.
"I... I can't," Twilight said tears now rolling down her cheeks "It won't let me get rid of it."
"You're right..." Chrysalis said thinking "As long as you're alive, it will stay stuck to you." then turning to Flash "Well Flash, looks like you're about to break that promise you said when you first got here."
"What promise?" Twilight asked looking up to Flash seeing he was trying to get off the wall.
"Why the promise that he wont let me hurt you of course." Chrysalis said lighting her horn again smiling, looking at Twilight.

"And that's been my life up until today," Pinkie finished telling her life story to the Changeling Captain and his army. "Oh... Oh do you want to hear about to day? Well, it started out as any normal day..."
"NO!" the Captain yelled hooves over his ears trying to block Pinkie's voice out. "Please make her stop!" he pleaded to Rainbow and Fluttershy, who after having to go though with it since they met were unaffected by the sound of her voice. "We'll do anything just please make her stop."
"Well that's not very nice." Pinkie said crossing her arms and pouting.
"You can take us to where the real Flash and the real Twilight are," Rainbow said as Fluttershy was comforting Pinkie.
"No way we're under strict rules not to let anyone get to them," a Changeling to the right called out getting up.
"Oh really?" Rainbow said raising an imaginary eyebrow. "I think they might want to hear about today after all Pinkie." she said grinning.
"NO!" they all cried "We'll take you to them."
Smiling, Rainbow went over and bucked the doors open. Then stepping to one side waited for the captain to show them the way to Twilight and Flash.
In the throne room Flash was still trying to get off the wall, as Chrysalis walked up to Twilight, her horn lit, fangs bared.
Twilight all the while was trying to get away from her. But, as she was fixed to the wall and unable to move anything other than her neck, she wasn't getting anywhere that fast.
Suddenly, the Crescent Moon Necklace began to glow blue and shot out at Chrysalis knocking her to the other side of the room.
"You little bucking-filly!" Chrysalis screamed getting up eyes firing with anger.
"I...I didn't do anything!" Twilight said looking around for help.
"HEY! QUEENY!" Flash was off the wall, wings spread and charging at Chrysalis. With a 'THUD' they crashed into each other, and Flash flew back to help Twilight down and stand next to her.
"That's for nearly hurting my friend." Flash said to Chrysalis.
Chrysalis smiled, then with a 'CRACK' and a shoot of green flames there stood another Twilight wearing another Crescent Moon Necklace. She launched herself at the real Twilight spinning around beating her with her hooves.
Suddenly the doors flew open and in ran Rainbow, Pinkie, and Fluttershy, watching Flash try and tell the Twilight's apart.
"Which ones which?" Fluttershy asked.
"I'm the real one," the Twilight on the floor was saying.
"No she's not," the one on top fired back "I am."
This kept going for five minutes until Pinkie had an idea. She ran over and pulled the Twilight's apart and said. "Both of you try and throw away your necklaces."
"You know I can't get rid of it Pinkie..." the Twilight on the right said looking into her friends eyes.
The one on the left did what she was told right away and threw the necklace to the other side of the room.
"That's the fake one!" Rainbow cried and Flash was on top of the Queen, pinning her down.
"With a 'CRACK' and some more green flames there were now two Flash Sentry's rolling around on the floor. they got up, and began to charge for one another.
"What now?" Twilight asked looking from Flash to Flash, tears in her eyes "How are we going to tell them apart?"
"HEY!" Rainbow called towards the Flash twins "Both of you, how do you feel about Twilight?" Shocking Twilight and the Flash's at this.
"Well er..." one of them said, blushing kicking at the ground, not looking into the girls eyes.
While the other let his heart out towards her. "I've loved you since the first moment I set my eyes on you Twilight," he said "Your mane, your eyes, your smile..."
"That's the fake!" Rainbow cried attacking this Flash, head butting it.
With one last set of flames, Chrysalis stood in front of the ponies again. Looking very annoyed. "How could you tell I was fake?" she asked Rainbow.
"Easy," Rainbow said flying over to her friends "You let your heart out to Twilight with out any nerves of any kind."
"If Flash really did feel that way about Twilight," Fluttershy spoke up "He wouldn't be speaking so openly about her, after just one day."
Twilight, still blushing at Flash's reaction to the challenge just given to him, snapped back in to focus. "It looks like you're finished Chrysalis."
"My dear," Chrysalis said smiling, "You've forgotten my Changelings." With a shriek that shook the castles walls, all the Changelings flooded into the throne room, and started to attack the ponies.
"Pinkie talk," Rainbow cried beating two Changelings up "Talk like you've never done before."
"Okie-Dokie-Lokie" Pinkie said bouncing up to the nearest Changeling, took in a deep breath and...
"NOOO!" it cried and flew away as fast as possible.
Everyone, retreat, it called out through it's mind. They're setting that pink weapon onto us again!
About half the room stopped and ran out of the room as fast as they could.
"Where are you going?" Chrysalis yelled after them "It's just a pony!"
"Hey Chryssy," Pinkie said appearing right next to Chrysalis making her jump. Then Pinkie began walking and talking... "Why are you always so mean huh? I mean I thought you and your Changelings fed on love and all that. I mean I thought with all of that love flowing around, you would be as happy as me..."
Chrysalis was now backed up against the wall, no Changeling coming to rescue her, they were either fighting the others, or too scared of Pinkie's voice. Chrysalis shot out a light from her horn, aiming it at Pinkie. Royal jelly formed over Pinkie's mouth sealing it shut. With another bolt from Chrysalis's horn Pinkie was set on fire.
"That will teach you to be quiet." she said.
"Help," Fluttershy called over to Twilight, "Help Pinkie's on fire."
Running up to Pinkie Twilight shot water out of her horn, and Pinkie was put out.
"AHHHHH!" Chrysalis shrieked "WHAT DID YOU DO! YOU LITTLE BRAT"
Everyone, Pony and Changeling, froze and stared at Chrysalis slowly melt away.
"I'LL GET YOU BACK FOR THIS SPARKLE!" she cried with her last words before she was gone.
After Chrysalis's cries died down, the Captain came forward to see what had become of their queen.
"Sh... She's dead," he said "You killed the Wicked Witch of the West."
"I... I didn't mean to," Twilight said standing next to Flash and Pinkie, mouth now de-jellyfied "It, It was just she was on fire. I didn't mean to kill anyone."
"All hail Twilight," the captain called out "The Wicked Witch is dead!"
There was a buzz of thousand pairs of wings flapping for joy that their queen and witch was dead.
"Is there anything we can do for you?" the captain asked Twilight and Flash smiling.
"Well you could give us our freedom," Flash said "And show us the way out of the forest."
"Of course, of course." the captain said trotting over to the door. "Come on, I'll show you the way to the edge of the forest."
After Twilight and her friends were out of the Everfree Forest, and thanked the captain, they made their way to the small village just ahead of them to spend the night.

Twilight woke up in the middle of the night after having a nightmare that Chrysalis was back and had killed Flash. Getting up, knowing that she wouldn't get back to sleep, Twilight thought to get some fresh air.
Outside, Twilight put her arms on the railing and looked up at the stars and thought of the question Rainbow asked to find the real Flash and his reactions to it.
"I hope it means that he does like me." she told herself resting her head down.
"Of course I do Twilight," a voice sounded behind her.
"Fl... Flash," Twilight spun around blushing thankful that it was dark. "Er... how much did you hear?"
"Everything you said," Flash said walking up to the railing too.
Not saying anything the two both looked up at the stars. Then after a while Twilight remembered what Chrysalis had said.
"Flash?" she began "Did... Did you really say you wouldn't let Chrysalis hurt me?"
"Yes Twilight," he said putting his hoof over hers looking into her eyes.
"And... going to Rainbow's question..." Twilight struggled to think of the words to say.
"If I had the time, Twilight," Flash said blushing and rubbing the back of his neck, "I would say exactly what Chrysalis said. That I loved you from the very beginning. The way your eye's twinkle as if they were stars. The way your smile makes me blush every time I see it, The..." But he was cut off as a pair of lips were pressed over his own, and he felt arms around his neck.
Pulling away away from him Flash saw that Twilight had tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong Twilight?" he asked.
"I'm just thinking that I don't want to go home anymore." she said looking Flash in the eye. And without another word, they moved back into another kiss, and they stayed out there all night, under the stars.
As the sun rose, and shone it's lights on Twilight's eyes she was pleased that last night with Flash on the balcony wasn't the dream.
"HEY GUYS!" Pinkie's voice rang in their ears waking Flash up. "Wow have the two of you been out here all night?"
"Err..." Twilight and Flash said looking at each other searching for an answer.
"Hey Pinkie, do we want to get going or what?" Rainbow said coming to the door. "Oh hi you guys. I wondered where you got to last night." she said looking over at Twilight and Flash still lying on the floor.
Noticing this the two got up blushing not looking at anyone in particular. There was a few moments of silence before Twilight asked... "So what now. How do we get back to the Emerald City to see the Princess so you guys can get what you want?"
Fluttershy came over "We can ask some-pony how to get there, or to take us there."
Then the Crescent Moon Necklace began to glow, and Twilight's eyes turned white. There was a flash and they were gone from the balcony.
By the gates of the Emerald City, Rarity was starting to fall asleep. You see it was really quite boring being the gate guard actually, all you did all day was... Stand there, open and close the gates to ponies coming and going from the Emerald City, and look pretty.
Rarity was in the middle of a yawn when a flash of blue light showed up on the hill above her overlooking the City. Getting out a telescope and holding it to her eye Rarity saw it was Twilight and her friends. "And they rescued the colt." she said smiling. "I must go tell the Princess." And with that she went inside the gates.

Up on the hill Twilight had collapsed, tired from all the power that had just flown though her.
"You ok Twilight?" Flash asked helping her back up.
"Hey there's the Emerald City again," Pinkie called pointing out into the distance.
"That was fast," Rainbow said looking around to check that they were all there.
"Erm... Did you do that Twilight?" Fluttershy asked walking up next to Twilight and Flash.
"No..." Twilight said rubbing her head. "I... I was just wishing to return to the Emerald City, there was that blue light, and here we are."
"Well there's no point just staring at it," Rainbow said flapping her tin wings "Let's go!" and she raced down the hill followed by the others.

When the gates opened, Rarity was there to meet them, a huge smile on her face. "It looks like you found your colt-friend then dear." she said to Twilight making her blush and look away.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Rainbow butted in "We're all done and proud of ourselves. Now can we see the Princess about us getting what we want please?"
"Oh yes, of course," Rarity said turning around "Follow me." and she lead the ponies into the City to see the Princess.

When the throne room doors opened, and Rarity let them in there was some-pony in the room with the princess.
"Cadence?" Flash and Twilight said together running up to her.
"Looks like you did a good job protecting Twilight, Flash," Cadence said smiling at the two "Not a single scratch on her."
"Er..." the two said together as the others were wondering who this Alicorn was.
"There, there Cadence," Celestia said stepping up "They're here to get what they want, not to be confused." then turning to the other ponies "Although as I said I think you found everything you wanted, in Chrysalis's Hive."
"All we found there," Rainbow spoke up stepping forward "Was Flash. There weren't any brains, or hearts, or courage, back there..."
"Can I ask you a question then, since your so sure Rainbow Dash?" Celestia asked. "When you were stuck to the wall with royal jelly, how did you get off."
"My strength," Rainbow answered wondering where this was going.
"And where did that strength come from?" Celestia continued.
"My heart." Rainbow gasped in realization.
Then turning to Fluttershy, "And when you were scared, what made you go on?"
"The courage that my friends gave me..." the lioness said smiling, looking at the ponies around her.
Finally turning to Pinkie, "And what gave you the idea to talk to the Changelings for so long, until they did what you wanted then to do?"
"My brain!" Pinkie gasped grinning with glee.
"You all had what you wanted to find all the time," Celestia said looking around at the happy faces. "You just needed friends, and a chance, for them to become found."
"But what about Twilight and her getting home?" Flash asked.
"Twilight's had the power to go home from the very beginning," Cadence said. "That Crescent Moon Necklace grants the wishes of it's holder until it's holder gets what they want."
"What?" Twilight said looking at the necklace.
"When you were attacked by the trees, you wanted them to let go, the necklace felt your wish and granted it." Cadence explained.
"Yeah," Pinkie spoke up "Then when the changelings attacked us up on that hill before, you wanted them to leave you alone. A flash from the necklace later, all the ones around you are knocked out."
"And then when Chrysalis was about to kill you," Flash remembered "You wanted her to back off, and it shot her to the otherside of the room."
"Then this morning," Fluttershy said "You wanted to come back to the Emerald City, so we could get what we wanted."
"Yeah," Rainbow piped up understanding where this was going "And after that thing lit up we were back up on that hill, just outside the city."
"But... If that's true, then why didn't it let me go home in the first place." Twilight asked "Or let me get rid of it?"
"It wouldn't let you get rid of it," Celestia explained "Because it's bonded to you. As long as you're alive and are living here in Equestia, the necklace will always stick to you."
"And it didn't let you go home," Cadence said smirking a little looking between Twilight and Flash "Because all though you journey, what you've been wishing for, I feel, has changed. As it not?"
"Err..." Twilight said turning as pink as Pinkie and looking at the floor. Flash staring up at the ceiling.
"Awww..." Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rarity said together looking on to the romance before them.
"Blah..." Rainbow said as she couldn't stand so much of it.
"So, it's dissension time Twilight," Celestia said. "Do you want to stay here and be with Flash? Or do you want to go home?"
Twilight didn't know what to say. If she said she wanted to stay, she wouldn't see Spike, or her 'pony' pony friends again. But if she choose to go home, she would loose Flash, and her new friends she had made in this world.
Finally taking a deep breath, and kissing Flash on the cheek, Twilight gave her answer.
"I want to go home." she said. The Crescent Moon Necklace began to glow a brilliant blue, lifting her up into the air.
"Goodbye," Twilight said waving to everyone in the room. "I'll miss you..." she said closing her eyes so they wouldn't see her cry.
And with a flash Twilight was gone. "And we'll miss you Twilight." Flash said tears in his eyes.
Twilight felt a wet towel on her forehead, and could hear noise and movement around her.
Opening her eyes a little, she could see seven bloggy figures standing around her bed.
"Hey every-pony," one voice said "I think she's waking up."
Opening her eyes all the way now, Twilight could see that the voice who sounded belonged to the cute Pegasus from the Crystal Empire, she had met last time she was over there.
Then looking around to see who the others were, she could see they were her friends, and Spike. Every-pony had blood red eyes, and bags under them, telling that they hadn't been asleep in awhile.
"Twilight!" Spike screamed running up to her arms out coming to hug his big sister figure.
"Wha... What happened?" Twilight asked looking around, patting the baby dragon on the head to comfort him.
"Well Sugarcube," Applejack said stepping forward. "A few days ago, Rainbow flew through your window, and knocked you out. When you didn't wake up, we started to get worried."
"So we told Shining and Cadence that you were in a comma of some sort," Rarity continued. "And they sent over Flash here to keep an eye on you for them."
"Yeah he was by your side since he got here, he never left for a moment," Pinkie said.
"Then, when you started talking, Flash talked back to you." Fluttershy spoke up.
"Just what were you dreaming of Twilight," Rainbow asked. "You kept talking about witches, brick roads, and brains, courage, and hearts."
Ignoring what her multicolored friend asked, Twilight turned to Flash. "You were watching over me?" she asked blushing "And talked to me when I started talking?"
"Yeah," Flash said looking rather shy. "At first it was my job. But when you started talking, I thought if you heard a constant voice it would help and wake you up sooner. but who knows if it did anything..."
"So what were you dreaming of Twi?" Rainbow asked again, snapping the two back to see the others.
"I dreamt I was in another world, where I killed a witch, gained her necklace, was sent on a wild goose chase just to get home, met some friends, saved... err someone from another witch," she said as Flash was still standing next to her, "Then after those other ponies found that they had what they wanted all along, I wished to come home. And you were all there." she said (not wanting to upset Spike by saying he wasn't).
"Wow, Twi" Spike said backing off from her a little "That sounds like that book you were reading when Rainbow knocked you out. What was... The Wizard of Oz." he said remembering. "But I thought you said you hadn't finished it, how did you dream how it would turn out?"
"I don't know." Twilight said shortly.
"Oh Twilight," Flash said going over to look in his saddle bag. "I bought a gift for you when I was leaving the Empire as a get well thing." he said finding a purple box done up in a pink ribbon. "I hope you like it."
Twilight looked from Flash, to her friends to the box, before opening it.
"Oh, Flash..." Twilight said flinging her arms around his neck surprising every-pony. "I love it." Inside the box was a light blue crescent moon necklace.
"You're welcome Twilight." Flash said.
Seeing where this was going, Applejack spoke up. "Come on y'all, lets leave them in peace for a while." she said pushing everyone out the door.
Twilight mouthed 'Thank you' to Applejack, who tipped her hat to Twilight before leaving and shutting the door. Leaving the Unicorn and the Pegasus alone.
