I very seriously doubt they'd ever even passively promote that kind of thing due to the fact that there is a such a vast young audience. It's common sense 101 to say that and nothing else.

As I said, hasn't happened in the foreground, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. We as the fans get to guess if it's a thing or not, at least until we know for sure. Even then, a lot of writers will still probably use herds and not use the AU tag.

7526659 Every fan fiction is A.U. by default. And it no it is not happening period, there is absolutely no way that would be possible. Especially now that the apparent despairity has shifted so much. The show canonically can not have herds under any circumstance, that is all there is to it.

If a fanfic doesn't deviate too far from the original story, then it doesn't require an AU tag. The small fact of herds existing due to under population of males would fit under that. It's more of a headcanon than an Alternate Universe.

Not sure where it'll go after this upcoming chapter, at least I have one more planned.
