I like the story. It's decent.

Agreed.

~Skeeter The Lurker

2830880 I just wish I could have written it better, I know this story could have been so much more, and I will gather the skill I need to make it better in the future!

2830950

Good man. Glad to see you won't take it down for that reason.

~Skeeter The Lurker

Hmm, it's okay.

Nothing to rant and rave about, but I still like it.

Hhhhsssss... I'm not quite sure about this...

Lets go mutafuka!

I enjoyed this. Dark as f*ck, but the happy ending is nice.

Take my like.

2831390 I swear to God if I missed a lot of 'you's again... this is supposed to be first person :applecry:

2830950g Yeah, I'm sorry, but I have to be frank. There are SOOOO many mistakes in this story! :applejackunsure:
The concept is pretty good, and the story as a whole ain't a bad read, but oh my god the mistakes. This may be a rude question if I'm wrong, but did you have someone proofread this story? Because it – uh – it doesn't really seem like it.
Also, I was expecting more of a "Fuck no!" when she asked him to forgive her at the hospital.

2832079
My bad! Fixed the comment :P

2832556 As for the proofreader, I tried, but I got no responses. It seems to happen a lot that I ask and don't even get a 'no, I am busy' or a 'no, don't want to'. I am starting to get tired of it, so I went ahead and asked for an editor to edit this and then I went and published it (after fixing a few things that were still wrong). I wish it could have been done better, but without responses, I feel like it is a hopeless search.

An enjoyable read. At first, you had me thinking that it would end in a tragedy, so it is a surprise to see what happened when after the infamous attempted suicide had come to passed and continued on from there.
It is nice to add what happened with everyone, in regards to current and past tense, and see how they contributed to the story. Although I question the relevance of mentioning Spike and Sweetie Belle, as they had done nothing to advance the story, but it's good to see what happens in the after years. Nice work on this part for who are minor characters and are executed well in that role, which is nice for not being involved more than it is needed
Sure there are errors, but they are minor importance, since this a fanfic and not professional writing. It would be unfair to have such high exceptions for something that is meant to be simply enjoyed and as a way to exercise writing with storytelling.
Overall, nice story, man. Keep up the good work.

2832809 Do you ask before or after it is finished? Because taking a whole story at once to edit can really take away from how polished it could be. If the editor can step in and say when something may not be such a good idea, then the story won't have to be changed as much and it's a lot less of a load on us. :applejackunsure:
Not to say that it's your fault people don't respond to you; it's just them being rude. Just offering advice for the future.

2833442 While that is true, it's always best to stretch your metaphorical writing muscles, and people should look with at least a somewhat critical eye and point out any repeated errors so the writer may learn. It is one of my biggest pet peeves as a writer when no one points out that I do not properly understand something about grammar, sentence structure, etc. or something that could be improved in the story. Acknowledging these flaws helps us grow as artists.

2834121 I normally try and finish a story, type out a 'cheat sheet', go over the story to make certain I cover what I wanted to cover, and try and make things go right. Most people don't respond when I ask, and I don't ask till a project is done, this is because I need to prove to myself I can do something and feel pride in it before I want another to look at it. I don't want to get a proofreader, then say I can't do something and drop it, wasting their time when they could have helped another author. I have only really gotten one response back on another work I am doing, and am making the many changes necessary to make that better, but that is the sole exception from when before the work was published. I know I need some help, this story could have been quite a bit better, but I decided to just let it go and work on something else since the idea for this story was starting to get stale to me (This has ruined a lot for me already). Luckily, this only happens when I don't do anything with it for a while, so like with 'A Night with the Night' I will probably end up going through this another time and fix it. I will also try and find someone to help BEFORE I finish the story.:twilightblush:

2834202 For one-shots, doing it yourself and having someone look over it afterwards is perfectly fine, but for longer stories that may take a couple weeks/months to finish off after the first chapter is done, it's important to get some help before you get too far along, in case anything important needs to be adjusted.

2834238 I know that one, I sought out some advice for the multi-chapter fic I plan to write, and so far I have changed it completely twice from advice I have received (once to make the power far more reasonable, and again to change multiple details through out the fic).

2834391 I am mad at you have ripped my heart out and then crammed it full of sadness and then put it back in. U are a great writer plz don't stop writing.

Hmm, I'm not sure if you have, but you should link where you got the image from, or atleast mention the artist's name in the description :p

2839424 I linked it as part of the picture to the original source (I modified for this story).

A very enjoyable short story, good work :D :rainbowkiss:

2830950 This definetly felt like it could have been more lengthened. That's all I have to say besides great job!

I thought the story was alright. It felt kinda rush and I thought story could of been longer and more detail when his life was falling apart.

2919560 I totally agree with this. It could have, and should have been longer, but I just couldn't make it work right. Heck, originally I would have had Soarin using RD and upon her getting out the MC suiciding. I definitely changed things up a bit, and like most things, warrants a revisit/rewrite in the future.

2919966 Ok. If you do rewrite this story I gladly read it. I'm glad you didn't take any offense on my comment. One thing I hate doing is leaving a negative comments. I don't mind when it a video game or a movie I mean what are the chances that someone who work on em is going to reads them but when it a fan fic. I try my best not to sound like a jerk.:

2921421 so long as it is constructive, I fully like it. I may not appreciate the tone, but so long as it helps build a better story I do like it. Soon I will be making another new work as well (though this will be as long, if not longer, then 'So I Heard...'). So I got a lot on my plate. Hopefully I can make this better, but as with my other projects, it will be in time.

2921437 Alright I be looking forward on upcoming projects.:scootangel:

Well shit now I'm interested in what happens with the kids :T you must now write a story about the kids :)

Hmm...it's written pretty good. I liked it! But I wouldn't have personally been able to forgive Dash so quickly...

I loved this  I was a bit worried about how quickly rainbow dash was forgiven but you justified why so well it made more sense than if a grudge was held, awesome job :pinkiehappy:

I forgot to favorite this story. :derpytongue2:

Cool story dude
I could edit this a bit if you want me to?

3578257 It would be nice to have this more properly edited. Go for it.

Whoa Whoa Whoa

Your cover art of course!

your stories are soooo gewd, i wish i had the skill to write characters with a wtf moment like that.

Bro you are amazing at writing...

This story is an amazing story that includes the most vital bits of writing and storytelling.

Do you have any sequels for this or do you plan on writing anything as a follow up?

4297577 not at this time no. It might happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath at this time.

That was pretty good. :pinkiehappy:
