Unaware of how his image and name have been used, the real Grogar returns to his lair after a long vacation. Naturally, he's not exactly pleased to find out what's been happening while he was gone.

Celestia and Luna thought their first day at the Seaward Shoals retirement home would be normal. They never expected to see Grogar of all characters there. The two alicorn sisters are quite surprised to learn what he's been up to in the past thousand years since Gusty the Great took his bell.

Shortly after her coronation as the new Princess of Equestria, Twilight is visited by a creature she never expected to see in person. What's even more unexpected than the identity of this petitioner, though, is his reason for coming.

While trying to create a potion to come in handy during their defeat of Twilight Sparkle and her friends, Cozy Glow accidentally makes a love potion. Then it explodes. Her roommates slash allies Tirek and Chrysalis get caught in the midst of the spell’s smoke and the effects are less than desirable.

Not only have they fallen hard for each other, but started to call Cozy their daughter. And she’s hating every second of it.

This wasn’t what Cozy wanted at all.

In the distant past, Grogar created thousands upon thousands of monsters and set them loose to ravage the Equestrian countryside, sowing fear and terror in their wake. It was a magnificent time of anarchy like none seen before or since. When he was driven underground, Grogar could no longer control them, but what of it? As he bided his time, consolidated his power, the monsters were still loose, doing exactly what he made them to do.

Except, much to his chagrin, some monsters were reformed. This includes a certain draconequus.

And said draconequus is so happy to see his dad again.
