Dr. Calamity's experiments usually ended in disaster and Princess Twilight was giving him "early retirement" because of it. However, in one desperate final attempt to make his mark in the scientific community, Dr. Calamity might soon be the cause of Equestria's demise.

Some years after Twilight has taken her position as Princess of Equestria, but before Luster Dawn becomes her student, Equestria is at peace.
All is not to remain that way; the return of the Windigoes ancient magic cracked the boundaries of reality, allowing an ancient force to return, one that challenges the very foundations of the world of Equus and all it is built upon.

Faced with a new foe unlike any they have faced, and one able to absorb even the greatest of magic turned against them, Twilight and her friends embark on a desperate quest to a land that was myth even in Star Swirl's time, in the hope of finding a way to save their nation, and their world. At the same time, their friends, allies, and relatives work at home to try and survive, and hope that Twilight and her friends have something to return to.
The journey will take them further than any of them believe, and at the end, more will have changed than any of them could imagine.

Slight AU set after the end of Season 9; AU aspects only relate to some minor backstories for a villain, and my own interpretations and ideas on how magic works in Equestria, and that Equestria is one nation on a world of many, as well as Equestria having armed forces - of a sort.
The story is an adventure piece, with sci-fi elements, bloody and grim warfare, and - eventually - tech in Equestria, including mecha. Caution for occasional bad language and acknowledgement of adult themes.
While it isn't set after The Last Problem it does hint towards that being an outcome in numerous places.

After celebrating a party for Sackboy and his friends from Bunkum with the Mane 6 (along with Spike and Starlight) from the events of “Journey Home to CraftWorld & Equestria”, The Mane 6 and Sackboy are now preparing for a big party in Canterlot.

However, a looming threat of an army by the Storm King arrives to threaten Equestria with the dastardly Vex making his way to takeover CraftWorld with his Topsy Turver. It’s up to Sackboy and the Mane 6 (with Spike, Clive, and Newton) to go on a “Big Adventure” to save their homelands. During their journey, they’ll meet up with new faces who will help them on their quest!

It was the aftermath of Tirek´s attack and Discord´s recent betrayal. They are all still recovering from the attack and are getting all of their magic back. However, out in sea, ships are being attacked by something...., something they can´t fathom, not even Discord can fathom, he may be blamed but one thing is for sure. Equestria is not safe, but this time it´s a creature not of their world.

It´s time for another crossover with the king of the monsters, and Equestria along with everypony is doomed.

We know what happened, we know what happened, and we still don't know what happened... so here's something that might have happened if a butterfly in Gryffinstone didn't fart in a North North Western direction while Jupiter was rising in Neptune's light on the four hundred and twenty third rotation of Polaris on its x axis.

Equestria lost, the Storm King won. His pelvic thrusts proved this! With his victory assured, he now holds possession over powers that no single Satyr, or any mortal creature for that matter, should hold and wield like a child with a Fallout 3 style Gatling laser equipped with a super hair trigger. Like, so sensitive a gust of wind would set it off, so you know the kid is fubarred, but the guardian is just like, "Oh, don't look down the barrel, I know you'll listen to me because all kids listen to their parents, especially when told not to do something.

But it's okay, because this holding device isn't something made from some holy kind of relic, no it is a crystal on a stick, so you know it has to be more powerful and able to hold the combined powers of a true God than, say, several individual gems that split the power and divide them into individual sources for powers he could wield and use as a future plot point for any number of theatrical ideas, but it's not like anyone could have ever thought to split the powers of a god into pieces, right? Right?!

So, after his predictable denial, refusal to help Tempest, he sees Princess Twilight and Tempest to be as useless as they were throughout the movie and does something that seems to be right in line with what he'd do; he decides to execute them by entrusting them to his totally competent and effective guards who bested the Royal Guard of Canterlot and representatives of Equestria in all out combat.

Mamoru Shinigami's powers come from dark magic. With his dark magic, it seems like he has superpowers but in actuality his powers are just dark magic, manifesting as to appear like superpowers.

This story shall go to the series finale. So strap yourselves in for a wild ride. It may say alternate universe in the tags, but that's because There will be a few small differences here and there, not many but enough to make things interesting.

This is my first story. As you read it will begin a little boring, but then you may have a little more excitement with each chapter as the story progresses. I apologize in advance for the prologue. The other chapters will be a little more tasteful.

The Storm King was defeated. Equestria and the rest of Equus were finally save from the threat he posed for so long. The Friendship Festival had been a rousing success, as the ponies of Equestria celebrated their victory. The Princess of Friendship had even managed to raise her self-esteem again, by pointing out what she could not see herself for so long.
But there was one more thing. One thing was left for Tempest Shadow to take care of, before she could find peace.
She had to return to the place where it all began, to settle the score. To free herself from the chains of her past, once and for all.
