Following the Changeling Invasion of Equestria, Twilight and her friends decide to enlist in the army, all 6 of them getting placed in an Equestrian tank. During a mission, they go deep behind enemy lines, where by the day, they go through supply issues, constant enemy resistance, and questions are raised about the ethicality of war. Friendship seems to be cracking and the technological advances seem to be a counterbalance to a thousand years of Harmony. Just how strong can their friendship hold?

Applejack awakens with minor memory loss and hears soft laughter in the woods... Everypony is acting weird around her... avoiding her and even seeming afraid... why?

Throughout her life, Fluttershy has had to deal with bullying, anxiety, and depression. Feeling like she was never good enough for anything. What her friends didn't know, was how she dealt with her pain.

So basically, my parents are going on holiday and leaving me to look after the house. Which inspired this story.

Twilight has been invited by the Princess to spend a week in Canterlot. Spike is left home alone, Twilight has asked her friends to keep an eye on her number one assistant. Over the course of the week Spike is visited by each of the Elements, and he takes the oppurtunity to learn a little more about his friends, maybe a little more than he bargained for.

These are side stories, unseen happenings and what ifs for the main story, Stranger in the Forest.

I'll be putting stuff here that doesn't quite have a place in the main story, including Fluttershy and Applejack related stuff. Reading the main story will give you better understanding what's going on with certain chapters, so it is advisable. This won't be updated regularly, rather only when there is a suitable chapter for it.

Moving to Equestria and buying a small farm in a village not far from the capital was just the change of pace Red needed. A nice, quiet life while she got her mental and physical state back into something resembling a functioning human being.

Ponies by nature, are usually friendly, outgoing and physically affectionate. Red's capacity to withstand polite society, and her limited energy for human- or pony interaction, will be pushed to their extremes.

Or maybe that's just the lack of sleep talking.

Going to visit Zecora, Fluttershy and Applejack are attacked by timberwolves. The resulting fight and flight leaves Applejack injured and Fluttershy poisoned by a hallucinogenic plant. The good news: they got away, and neither of them are suffering anything life threatening. The bad news?

Now Fluttershy has to survive a night in her cottage. Alone. With the plant's drug pumping through her system, she soon faces horrors of her own imaginings. Worst of them all is that eternal, hot yearning she feels for the mare who will always be there for her.

It's been a year since a tragic accident took Applejack's parents. A year, and she still doesn't know what to do with herself. Encouraged by friends and family, she decides to spend the summer vacation at Fluttershy's beach house on Splendora Island. She's not sure if it's helping.

Then, one night, she finds something injured on the beach. No, not something. Someone.

What starts as good intentions steadily grows into something else. Whether that something else is good for Applejack is another matter entirely.
