It turns out that Sunset Shimmer's final letters to Princess Celestia before her exile were not filled with resentment or remorse.

There might have been a lot more frantic running away involved.

But whatever the case, it was definitely not Sunset's fault.

Well, I've had better days. I was just trying to practice a spell that may or may not have been forbidden... don't give me that look. You want a hoof to the face? Anyway, I underestimated my raw natural talent and the spell worked... too well.

Because I don't screw things up. Clearly, it worked like it was supposed to! I think.

Now there's me... and her. Stupid, upbeat, cheerful thing that thinks she's me. Ugh, she's worse than Cadence! I need to get her half of my magic back and get rid of her before anypony finds out about this!

Shining Armor really likes to drink coffee, a lot. He needs it especially now as he has his finals to study for. A young Twilight wants to know why he, their parents, and Cadance, her foalsitter, like coffee so much. When Cadance calls and comes over to their place for a dinner date, Twilight finds out why it is good for them and later why not good for fillies like her.

Have you ever been so angry that you turned your faithful student into a princess?

A tongue-in-cheek (hoof-in-mouth?) response to the fandom reaction following the announcement of Princess Twilight.

Three hundred years ago, Equestria almost invaded the peaceful and idyllic nation of Cavallia, the homeland of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza.

The invasion would have been accidental.

It was quite awkward.

Coming back to Canterlot shortly before Cadance's wedding to Shining Armor, Celestia and Cadance soon grow bored on the train ride and decide to have a bit of fun...at the expense of a sleeping Luna. Needless to say, the princess of the night is none too pleased with this development and decides to enact some revenge of her own. Hilarity ensues, and bananas may or may not be involved!

Had this idea when I first saw LoCeri's comic, and finally have some time and enough ideas to make a proper story out of it. Just a bit of random fun, not meant to be taken seriously!

Princess Cadance drops in on Twilight Sparkle in a surprise visit. The two old friends, now sisters-in-law, spend a day together in the town of Ponyville, reflecting on memories of their pasts. Along the way, some new revelations work to forge a stronger bond between them.

Speaking of that, I want to edit this story more since I think I could smooth things out a little. But I don’t want to make everyone wait until then so here’s the unedited version submitted at the contest. I’ll leave the story complete but a second chapter that’s just a better edited version might be out soon.
