Except maybe for the way Twilight had set the crystal castle on fire, and how she was currently sitting outside as the building burned to the ground.

But aside from that very minor detail, everything was perfectly normal.

Everything was exactly as it was supposed to be, going exactly as it was supposed to.

Lonely Love is the perfect matchmaker. When somepony is in love with another, she can tell with just a glance. The problem is that nopony seems to love her.

Discord, Princess Cozy Glow's personal student, goes to the city of Ponyville to prepare for the Summer Sun Celebration. He was not prepared to go after ancient artifacts with a group of friends and defeat an ancient evil. This is only the beginning, isn't it? Good thing Opalescence, the dragon he hatched, is always good company.

Despite Starlight's raw talent for magic and Sunburst's studious nature, they fall flat in the face of self-doubt, unresolved issues and finally coming to terms with their feelings for one another. All that their magic is good for is to dance around the issue, making it pretty useless. (Otherwise known as "Ten ways to say I love you.")

Starlight did something bad. Really bad.

It was just a single moment, a single lapse of judgment. In the heat of that second, she tried to kiss her best friend.

That was three days ago, and she hasn't seen Trixie since. Before that attempted kiss, she'd looked forward to seeing Trixie at Twilight's Hearth's Warming party, but now that it's here, she dreads it. She's going to have to say a lot of the right things if she wants to keep the best friend she's ever had.

Provided, of course, that Trixie even shows up.

This story is only connected to Shattered Glass with characters, it is not Canon to it. As some may know, I just wanted to make a chapter dedicated to Starlight and Trixie watching and learning how to play a game...this was that game. I felt it wasn't needed as a chapter, so I decided to make it it's own story. I also wanted to get this out by Christmas but my laziness got in the way. I hope you fellows enjoy people slapping paper onto the ground!

When Starlight and Trixie are called to an old, abandoned manor, Starlight is skeptical of the legends of a curse hanging over the house. But why would the map call them if there’s nopony here?

Wait, those doors weren't open before. And why does this not look like it's been abandoned? What was that sound just now?
